Cecilia crunched through the snow, heading for a small patch of trees. She'd gotten much better with the chilly weather than the first time she'd wandered up the mountain ranges that protected the Starborn tribe.
For the more part the blue vixen preferred to stay in the warmer climate. She easily adapted to the diet of plant matter with the occasional bit of fish. But every now and then her body sent her cravings for actual meat. It made sense to her, plants and fish couldn't provide her body with all it needed to function properly. It was what she was made to do. She always made sure to thank the animals for the nutrition they provided before she ate, and buried any remains with dignity.
Up ahead Cecilia spotted a large grove of fir trees. They were an excellent place to look for rabbits or other small creatures! She speed up, though she should have known better. True to form, the clumsy vixen went sprawling in the snow after tripping of what was possibly a rock, hidden from view. "Oh my," she sighed, shaking her head.

Bruiser was making his way along the side of the mountain. The snow was cold under his paws, but he didn't let that bother him. He was out on an adventure. At least he thought so, it was just a chance to travel and meet other foxes maybe.
He walked into a grove of trees and was taking a break. He had caught a rabbit before stopping and was just starting to eat, when he thought he heard a noise.

"Oh dear, oh dear!" A bright blue head and chest stuck out from a pile of snow. The clumsy fox had run into a snow-ladden tree, which was only too happy to dump it's burden on the silly creature.
Cecilia clambered out of the cold powder before her body head could melt it. Then she would be cold and wet! "Oh dear," she sighed again, shaking lose the extra white that clung to her. It seemed her hunting trip was already off to a bad start.

His ears swiveled towards a sound before he could take two bites. The noise sounded like someone was hurt or in trouble. Bruiser grabbed his meal and took off towards the sound. He came around a tree and skidded to a stop. There was a vixen covered in snow.
He dropped the rabbit, "Are you alright? Of course that looks like some fun. I like burying myself in snow, or well anything I can hide under." He rambled on. Of course it did look like fun to him. His mind was thinking of everything he could do while hiding like that.

Cecilia jumped. The new arrival had startled her. She'd jumped back though, and there just so happened to be that annoying tree in the way. It had plenty of snow left, and happily gave more to the persistant vixen.
Buried under the white fluff came a muffled wail. It would have been barely audible as, "It's so cooold!"

Bruiser figured she was playing a game and jumped over to help dig her out. His paws made a little hole and he stuck his head in the snow. "Are you ok? I didn't hear you before. Are you hiding from someone, playing a trick on them maybe?" His backside was wiggling with the thoughts.

Cecilia shook her head as she crawled out of the snow. Already she was getting damp. She hunched her shoulders against the cold, the picture of misery.
"Oh goodness, no. I'm out by myself. You see my tribe lives deep in the mountains, but it's warm there. We're just against eating meat other than fish within the territory. So I came out here hoping to find something. It's not going too well..."
Cecilia was determined to get food somehow. But she was only a gatherer for the tribe. Even that she sometimes had trouble with. Hunting and scouting were way beyond her league, as she lacked phycial strength, stamina, and the ability to go undetected.

Bruiser backed up and sat on his haunches. She was a pretty vixen. And seemed nicer then the male he ran into.
"Do you want help getting some food? I.." He looked around for the rabbit he had caught. "Ah, there it is." He walked over and picked up his rabbit. "Want some?" It looked like she needed a dry place or at least the sun to sit in while she dried. The male looked around for a spot and spotted a lightly covered spot in the sun. "There is a spot over there in the sun, so you can dry, sparkly vixen."

"Oh goodness, thank you so much!" It had been awhile since Cecilia had had meat. She didn't want to steal this nice fox's entire meal though, so only took small bites and took her time swallowing them down.
"Sparkly," she asked, hearing the comment. "I'm not sparkly, am I?" The vixen craned her head to look back at her coat. "Oh my, I suppose maybe I am just a little. It's all a trick of the light though."

"Eat your fill. I can chase another down, maybe." He looked back at the grove of trees, it was quiet in there now. He sighed quietly, it will be harder to get something to eat, but still possible.
He turned back to talk with the vixen and caught her looking at her fur. "Maybe it's from the snow?" He liked her coat color, but didn't know how to go about it. His hind paws were itching to kick snow, but he didn't want to get her covered again. Unable to hold still for to long, he started shifting his weight from one paw to the other. "Are you warm enough?" He didn't want the vixen to get colder since he just met her and she said her tribe was near by.

Cecilia took a moment to answer the question. She was asked about her condition a lot, probably due to all the situations she got herself into.
"I think I'll be find," she responded, reasonably pleased with what she'd found. "Maybe running around a little later will help, but I'm alright."
She tilted her head to examine Bruiser's coat. His pattern actually looked like stars compared to hers. It was very pretty, like a piece of the sky.

Bruiser looked at her as she replied. "A run sounds fun. Should we race?" He stood back up, his body twitching with anticipation of a run.

"Oh goodness, no! I would trip trying to race," she explained, chuckling. "We can run around just for fun, or maybe if we spot some prey and gotta chase them. Have you noticed that everything we eat usually runs really fast," Cecilia mused, trying to think of something that didn't scamper super fast.

"Just to run? Kinda like tag?" His head turned to the side as he thinks about it. "We might make enough noise to bring out more prey." Bruiser started bouncing on his feet. "Lets do it!"

Cecilia giggled a little; it was hard not to be affected by Bruiser's enthusiasm. "Ah, okay then! Goodness, I couldn't be silent if my life depended on it anyway!" She giggled again.
"You lead. I'd hate to trip you or something like that, if we're going to be running." The starry-blue female stood, body wiggling a bit in anticipation of a run.
