Lilura was so excited! Her own room in the Academy! She had spent all morning decorating her new room with all sorts of items she hoped to learn to enchant. Tartalo was asleep on her bed, laying happily on top of her skull and crossbone comforter. All along her walls were pictures of her family; cousins, aunts, uncles, and others of her large family. Her cloak hung on lovely looking rack and her clothes were neatly folded in her dresser. Now it was time to personalize her door!!
The blonde eyed blonde haired girl stood outside her door with a hammer and some posters. Each showed some of the more popular Warlock Bands as well as some random object pictures. Each object, whether a toaster or a chest, each had little google eyes on them and a mouth drawn on it somewhere. She giggled a bit before staring at the chest picture. She sighed, thinking of her great-grandmother. Her eyes gazed a bit into her room where Tartalo slept. He was her last spell, a spell meant for her.
"One day Lilura, one day you will make her proud," she said to herself with a firm not. Then she went back to personalizing her door.

As she had yet to wander the halls in search of other students in which to make her friend (Belladonna figured she'd give everyone at least a FEW days before completely disturbing their personal space), today seemed as good a day as any. Of course it was only natural that she had somehow managed to lock her door behind her and had to ask Binx to run all the way down the stairs and then climb up the vine outside her window to get into her room and open the door for her. This left her standing outside her room, waiting as patiently as possible, but beginning to tap her foot nonetheless....
"What posters are you putting up?" Belladonna asked, noticing a girl exit her room and begin plastering them all over the door. She shuffled over, liking the sound her werebunny slippers made against the wooden floor. Oh! Why this was a new person in which to make friends with and wasn't she so cute? Hooray for serendipity! The fact that the girl had been talking to herself a bit didn't hurt. In fact it made Belladonna feel a bit better. She always had Binx with her and when she didn't... She at least talked to herself. It could get kind of awkward when others walked in on her private conversations with herself... Um....

Lilura was almost done putting up her posters before starting on the little pictures of inanimate objects with google eyes and mouts on them when she heard someone walking in the hallway. She looked over as another witch approached in the cutest werebunny slippers. She smiled brightly at her then looked to the posters she was hanging.
"Oh these are just a few things from home. Some of my favorite bands," she grinned. Of course most of the bands were Spanish Boyfreak Bands. "Oh introductions! My name is Lilura Balandria! But my family just calls me Lily," she made a little curtsy, "What is your name? You are the first reaper I've seen on campus as of yet. And what is your specialty?"
Yeah she was asking a lot of questions but most of the other witches she had met in her life had all be family members or friends of the family. Lily was hardly sheltered but she didn't get out much due to her studying. It would be nice to do something other than study, at least with new people and new places to go. But her studies would always come first of course! It was her main priority, at least until something else caught her attention that was more amazing.
"Lily mi nina, who are you talking too?" a spanish accented male voice floated out of her room. Apparently the other voice had brought him out of his sleep. He wanted to be there as Lily made new friends, just incase they were not the proper type of friends for his nina.
"A new friend Tartalo," she smiled at the new girl, "My familiar. He's a bit protective."

Inspection of the posters revealed that Belladonna wasn’t too familiar with the bands, but she did fancy she recognized one of them, or maybe that was someone else? Hhmm… She quickly returned the curtsy, dipping a bit low in respect for the fellow reaper. Mother had spoke of how powerful relations with other reapers could be, on and off the battlefield, but Belladonna wasn’t quite sure she was going to listen to her mother all that closely. After all, wasn’t it her mother that had gotten drunk last Samhain on Dandelion Wine and announced to any that would listen that she was the Queen of the Hula Hoop Dolls? Yeah, her mother was odd and certainly not one to take advice from…
“I’m Belladonna Divine, its lovely to meet you.” She paused for a moment, thinking she liked the sound of ‘Lilura’. “My specialty? Oh, hmm… Well… I suppose it’d be these.” With a quick hand into the pocket hidden on the hip of her striped bloomers, she pulled out a deck of tarot cards and held them out gingerly. “I use them in my FEAR and I can tell fortunes with them too! Sometimes they come true!” It was best not to mention when they didn’t, but oh thankfully that was happening less and less.
“Your familiar… It is your father? Oh dear, um, my Spanish may be poor but… You are his child??” Belladonna asked of the scythe, inspecting it as she searched for the similarity between it and Lilura. It was true that her Spanish was incredibly poor, but she’d been doing her best to learn from Chuppi and she was positive “Mi nina” meant “My child” and this was so odd! To say she was confused was the smallest bit of an understatement.

"Oh wow, Tarot! Gosh no one in my family is any good with that! We are all animators if female and elementalists if male!" she seemed quite excited at the idea. For all their power he family were rather limited in their abilities. There had been stories of others trying to use a different power but all had failed rather miserably. This was their lot in life and they had no other option really. Then she blinked at the question, confused for a milisecond then started giggling.
"Oh no! He is not my father and I am not his child! He just calls me that because he has been a part of me since my birth! You see in my family, all the woman animate. But most are limited to only certain things. Mama animates plants. Some of her sisters animate puppets, cloth, and even patchworks! But great-grandmama could animate anything so long as it wasn't already alive!" she smiled at the memory of the strong witch.
"Only one has ever been alive at any time in our family. So when she put her hand on my pumpkin, she felt a familiar power growing there. So she knew her time was coming. As a gift to always remember her by, she created Tartalo as my familiar and guardian," she looked up as the scythe bounced his way over to the young ladies.
"Ah yes, I remember first coming to life. It was an unusual experience. I was so confused," he chuckled, "but then I was told of my purpose, that I was special. I remember going to the patch that evening and looking down at the pumpkin that held little Lilura. I felt....well I don't know. I didn't remember ever feeling anything before. But I my duty, so I stood guard by the patch every night. And I was there the day she imerged from the jack-o-lantern," he seemed to tear up a bit. "She was so beautiful! She smiled to her parents then looked at me. I thought she would be so frightened of me. But no, my nina smiled and wrapped her little hand around my staff as if she knew why I was there. So to me, she is like my child. For I have truly known her all her little life."
Lilura giggled a bit at her emotional scythe. He loved telling this story even if she had heard it a million times. But her parents had warned her that others at the school might think she was strange with Tartalo calling her his daughter. But if he didn't it would just be too strange for her. He had always called her that.
"So thats why he calls me nina. My great-grandmother died a few days after I emerged so I sometimes feel her presence when Tartalo tells me to do my homework or clean my room," she giggled.

"Most of my family is good with some sort of divination. Its how we got our last name, Divine! Or that's what Daddy says and we all listen to him." She didn't add the part that she only listened to her father because he bought her clothes, and well, he wasn't all that bad, not compared to Hemlock or Delphinium!
"Animators? How very interesting. And plants?! But aren't plants already alive?" Belladonna had certainly never heard of anyone animating a plant. She had heard of plants with the ability to speak (like that one that lived deep in her closet and kept screaming about being fed and someone named Seymour! Ugh.) but besides that... How would a plant be animated? Very interesting indeed!
And then her scythe was talking and explaining and getting all sentimental! It must be nice to always have someone to talk to, someone that couldn't run off whenever they felt like it... But wait...
"Only one what can be alive at any time?" Oooh, this girl had so many things about her that Belladonna didn't know about! It was hard to take in so much new information at once.

"Yeah, well. Mom's special I guess. She can give plants the ability to move and think for themselves. They can even water themselves whenever she's not around!" she grinned at the image of the ivy plant reaching out for the hose that one time. It ended up watering everyone in the house as well as all the other plants.
"Only one All Animator. Ever since anyone could remember, only one has ever been alive in our family. When the next one is born, the older one always dies. Mama told me it was because such a strong power could only survive in a blood line if one person had it at a time," she brushed a lock of hair from her eyes.
"Great-grandmama could animate anything so long as it wasn't alive. All the other animators are limited in what they can do. Like one aunt can only animate things made out of wood. Another can only do metal. One can even only do cloth. But no one can do all of them. And things that have multiple materials can only be animated by someone like me," she pointed to her door with a picture of the Mimic.
"Only an All Animator can create something as amazing as a Mimic. That is what my great-grandmother did. It was what made our family well knonw among demons. That is my goal, to be able to create Mimics just like Great-grandmama," she looked quite confidant in her statement. Then she turned to Bell.
"So can you read my future? Or devine something? I'd love to see that!" she looked excitedly at her new friend.

"That would be so helpful!!" Belladonna couldn't jump a little at the idea of a plant with the ability to water itself. While she did love them, they were something of a hassle if one had a busy schedule and almost no time to devote to watering plants. She had known a few plants that could talk and she quickly rationalized that if these plants could pick up other objects she might be in a bit of trouble for they were all rather.... Feisty, to put it nicely.
"An All Animator sounds very interesting... It is sad there cannot be more than one at a time..." Why, if Belladonna had never been able to meet her Granmoonie she would never have gotten her broom or hat, or maybe even Binx! All those things were vastly important to her and if she had never received them and been able to discuss them with her Granmoonie, why, where would she be now?! Granted, Granmoonie wasn't around anymore, but that was sometimes the price on paid for venturing into the Human World.
"Sure! Fortunes are easy for me!" She paused, thinking for a moment. "Would you like a Tarot reading, or with Rune Stones... Or something? I have all kinds!"
((If you choose Tarot cards I will actually use my own cards for the reading. XD ))

"Haha! Yeah it can also be kind of an adventure. You wouldn't know it but some plants are actually quite mischivous. Especially ivy vines. They love to play tricks on you. The nicest place mama grew was these really beautiful Lily of the Valleys. They were extremely polite!" she giggled a bit.
She thought for a moment at Bella's question. What would be good? I mean runes were really neat! She didn't like tea so tea leaf reading would be kind out; especially since she was rather angry at the tea pot right now. And as for palm reading, well hers were rather dirty from all of her magical work. So she guessed it was the cards!
"Oh lets just use the cards. They are best I think!" she grinned and went to her bed. She pushed a bunch of stuff off it into a pile on the floor. She blushed a bit, "Sorry I'm a bit cluttered. I practice as much as possible so I'm usually too tired to clean. My sister would be so upset now." She made some room so they could have a proper reading.
