hey guys. i don't really know most of you, i just joined the guild. but i figured i'd introduce myself and provide some discussion at the same time.
i just moved into a new house and i don't know if it's because it's near halloween or something but i keep hearing these noises at night that are keeping me up. it's kind of in the middle of nowhere, inbetween towns (but it was cheap!). the noises sound like scratching. they really only happen at night, but i can't seem to find out what they are. any ideas? does anyone believe in this stuff?

i believe those paranormal things happen. i've seen ghosts and whatnot. xD
but they usually are harmless. =3

it might be rats... i hate those little rodents when they infest homes. :/
but welcome to the guild! biggrin i have some knowledge of the paranormal. i've seen spirits of sorts and at the moment i'm trying to figure out how to banish a low level demon who keeps coming back...

@zantty - thank you! i hope this one turns out to be harmless. i think i heard whispering last night. it sounded like it said my name. freaked me out!
@hisaki_kage - eeek! i hope it's not rats! i almost would prefer a demon! what's the name of the demon you're trying to banish?

welcome to the A.P.G. just make sure you don't wake up with strange scratches or scars. The occasional ghost walking about ain't no big deal unless they're violent.

i don't really want to know his name... i just want him gone. all i know is he's affiliated with some sort of canine and a little girl. he's being quiet as of late but i know he's just watching/observing.
if its rats, just put out some peanut butter with some poison. they loooooove peanut butter. also, they can't burp so... maybe you could coat some alka seltzer or put out some soda next to the peanut butter... mad i hate rats (not pet ones though). when i was younger my family had to deal with them every season.

@d_vious - strange scratches? i found some this morning but i figured i had just done it to myself in my sleep. is that something that happens in a haunting?
@hisaki_kage - i heard that if you know their name you have power over them? he sounds scary. i don't wanna put out any peanut butter because i have a kitty and i don't want him getting into it
@elizabeth jude - i'm sorry if something bad happened. sad

@eikouden - i would say so. deja vu's can get pretty weird. i hope its not a stray cat. my kitty would not like that (who doesn't have claws, btw)
@kira - i took your advise and did so. i stood in the center of my bedroom and talked to it (boy did i feel silly) and as soon as i finished talking my laptop turned on by itself. i'm really scared right now. i'm thinking about calling a paranormal investigator.

aw don't be afraid of the laptop turning on thing. ghosts can control electricity so as long as you don't see: DIE DIE DIE DIE flashing all over your screen it's ok. It probably means he heard you. smile
edit: and since you have a cat... :I it probably isn't rats cuz your cat would totally get them... unless if he's lazy... but still he would make some sort of noise about them i'd think. :/

i can see why your haunting is scaring you. if my lappy turned on by itself i'd be scared. i've heard of some spirits that haunt objects or demons that spread like a computer virus. hope you didn't get that because i doubt norton takes care of those things. lol

@electric: my main reason is actually quite a lovely thing, but painful to talk about.
i hope that your situation resolves itself, though i do believe that your laptop turning on was the spirit acknowledging that it heard you! if you do call a paranormal investigator, i hope it helps. smile
