I would like to add more contests to the guild, but since the Contests/Games subforum has been so inactive, I'm not sure whether I should do so or not.
My best guess is that our current/previous contests had so few participants because few members knew about the contests, as there's not all that much reason to check the Contests/Games subforum very often.
Please take the following survey. Simply post it in this topic.

I would be interested in a writing contest: yes/no

I would be interested in other contests: Maybe a TekTek Contest?
If possible, please explain why you think we have so few participants in our contests or games: Hmm. Probably just because since people are so busy, they just have time for the roleplays and don't really think about going to the 'contest' subforum?

If possible, please explain why you think we have so few participants in our contests or games: Well, I'm going to guess that it's because since so many of us are in high school, it's becoming more demanding than before.

I would be interested in other contests: An art contest would be cool it just depends on what and when. And a tektek contest is a cool idea too.
If possible, please explain why you think we have so few participants in our contests or games: Because people forget to go to the forum?
Other thoughts: In terms of a writing contest there was this one guild that did a RP opening contest which ended up having not only good entries but a lot of entries. Of course you'd need fair and unpretentious judges which hopefully everyone here would be capable of XD

I would be interested in a photography contest: Eh, it sort of depends on the photo contest...but most likely not my kind of thing
I would be interested in a poetry contest: My poetry sucks, so I wouldn't enter, but I'd love to read the entries if one's done!

I would be interested in other contests: Yes, probably tektek or art contests...
If possible, please explain why you think we have so few participants in our contests or games: Uh, well, personally, I either just don't really have the time to enter any, or forget we even have a contest forum. I'd assume others have the same excuses, judging by the comments so far.

I would be interested in a poetry contest: I enjoy writing and reading poetry, so yes.
I would be interested in a writing contest: Why not?
I would be interested in other contests: Tektek or art, it doesn't really matter to me.
If possible, please explain why you think we have so few participants in our contests or games: Who knows. Everybody has a life outside of the e-world. It gets busy sometimes.

I would be interested in a writing contest: The opening post contest sounds great, since it kinda defines how people view your rping as well as sets the setting and mood of your character.
I would be interested in other contests: None come to mind in particular at the moment, but they're lurking around the depths of my mind somewhere...
If possible, please explain why you think we have so few participants in our contests or games: Truthfully speaking, I think its because no one has a real incentive to do anything but Rp.
Other thoughts: Perhaps forgetting to go to the contest forum is vaild as a reason, but in my opinion I think it should be a given that you check out all there is to check out in a guild to get the feel of it. I'll admit that the forum is lacking somewhat, but it shouldn't hurt to take more of a look around the guild sometimes. I understand people are busy, myself included, but it only takes a few seconds to click on it and glance at the topics before logging out. I'm a culprit at neglecting looking as well, but I'm changing that.

If possible, please explain why you think we have so few participants in our contests or games: It would be a good way for some of us to get outside of our rooms and enjoy the natural world

I would be interested in other contests: Not contests, just certain times where we all go online and have little discussion while writing about a specified idea or prompt thingie. I find that when you write when others are also writing, you're more motivated. Then after x minutes, we share what masterpiece/crap we have XP
If possible, please explain why you think we have so few participants in our contests or games:It's 3:13 Am and I just finished my homework... Might affect if I'm willing to go online.
