An Aluminium refinery had a private dam for it to dump the waste products of the refining process. This is nothing new. But the dam broke yesterday (and according to Greenpeace, the sat images showed huge cracks, but I haven't seen anything with the images, and it's Greenpeace, so...), and now seven villages are swamped with the toxic sludge. 4 people are dead, 120 are injured, and 6 are missing. This s**t burns, is radioactive, AND was a sudden flood that carried all before it, sweeping cars along with it, as the 6 foot wall of sludge covered the area.
Edit: ABC24 (the state-owned 24hour news channel in Australia) has given a little more info on it: When the s**t dries up, the dust and dirt from the muck will give people lung cancer. Yeah.
Edit2:
This s**t has reached some tributaries of the Danube, so now they are flooding the river with clays and s**t to offset the ******** ph of the contaminated water and generally dilute ******** href="https://www.gaiaonline.com/gaia/redirect.php?r=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.reuters.com%2Farticle%2FidUSTRE69415O20101007" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Link 4
