Kliken felt more then a little confused when he entered the classroom only to find it dark, he looked down at his dragon who was standing alongside him, "Ummm... a-are we early? Or... m-maybe we are l-late..." His stutter was showing, something that came along with him worry or stressing over something, in this case it was the idea that he might have missed the class that he'd signed up for. He would feel awful if that happened.

"Huh? W-Where are you going?" He asked of his dragon.

Tural looked up at him for a moment before he gave a huffing sound and shuffled forward into the darkness. The dragon's sight wasn't the best in the world and he had a pretty good sense of smell to make up for it, he could smell someone else in this room other then Kliken and he was seeking that person out.

"Do you... see anything?" He asked of his dragon as he took a step into the dark room, one hand reaching to feel around for a light switch.

Kliken gave a little jump when the voice came out of the dark and he lifted a hand to lay it against his thudding heart before he started forward toward where his teacher was, balls of light flaring to life above them. He gave them a glance before his attention went back to his teacher, "M-Much..." He murmured before he nodded, moving to do as he was told, settling down in his seat in front of the man, "I-I was w-worried for a moment t-that I might have b-been late."

He took in a couple deep breaths, trying to get himself under control as his heart was thudding hard in his chest, breathing a little quicker, and he was a little uncertain of himself. He hated that feeling, that worry he always go in his chest when there was a possibility of failing and along with failing the fear that he would thrown aside, "I will d-do anything you n-need of me." He told his teacher, eager to please. As though pleasing his teachers would make up for how he hadn't pleased his first three families, three groups that brought him back to D-Corp because he was a bad son.

"W-Where are we g-going to start?" He asked.

Kliken seemed to think on it for a moment before he looked down at his hands, "I... think so, yes. It... it c-chose me for a r-reason and I don't want to d-deny it." To ignore the power that had chosen him would be wrong in his mind. After all he didn't like the thought of throwing something aside that was distinctly his.

He rest a hand against his chest for a moment then nodded his head as he looked at his teacher, "I want to try my best with the power that is my own." He said, trying to sound as determined and confident as possible even if he rarely felt that way. He gave a little smile, cheeks flushing a little.

"From there... the way I wish to use it... I am not sure. I am afraid of using it to hurt people but... but there are bad people out there!" He'd seen them, could recall that fight in the rain in detail, something that made him shiver just thinking about it, seeing people fighting with each other, seeing a dragon attacking a someone... he didn't like it at all. Knowing that there were dangerous people out there made him want to be able to defend himself and those he cared about.

He shook his head rapidly, "No, no... I don't want to hurt them. Its not my place to punish people or anything... but at the same time I don't want them to hurt Tural or my sister... I don't want them to hurt my friends, they are so few and as such I want to keep them safe if I can." He explained, looking down at his hands and clasped them together, hoping that he was making sense.

"I don't just want to attack for no reason... just seeing that was scary enough and I know that I am scary enough just because of how I look and what I eat... I don't want to add in dangerous magic that wants to hurt people." He whispered.

Stuns... he gave a nod of his head, "Those I understand." He'd learned some similar things in another class, ways to defend himself in a physical manner and this would be that but with magical means. He would admit that he liked the idea, "Ahh.. temporary blindness?" He asked, then chewed lightly on his lower lip with his many sharp teeth then slowly nodded, "So long as its temporary... and only for use on dangerous people." He had a blind friend after all and he would never forgive himself if he left someone like that permanently.

He watched the familiar darkness as it appeared on Mr Zyane's fingertips, "Should I summon up the element as well? Or leave it for you to do now..." He asked of his teacher, he could almost feel it wanting to come out, to echo the fact that Zyane had summoned it up but he was able to keep it at bay for the moment. It showed that if nothing else he had control of the element instead of the element having control over him.

"Blind." He murmured the name of the spell, listening very closely to what it was exactly that he would be doing. Stealing light... and not someones sight completely, that was good. He didn't want to be cruel after all.

Kliken looked down at his hands, moving to cup them together and set to concentrating on the element that he was to call up. He'd done it before and he found himself able to do so again as it slowly coalesced in his hands. He watched for a moment the way that it seemed to move around in his hands much like a living thing before looking up at is teacher.

"You want me to... blind myself?" He asked, then slowly nodded. Better to use it on himself then anyone else... and he would also better understand for even a moment what it was that Drez felt every day, wouldn't he? He took in a deep, steadying breath before he returned his attention to looking at the pool of shifting blackness in his hands. It was shifting around before his hands but it wasn't trying to wrap around him like it had before. He hoped this meant that it was going to behave itself... though knew it was more likely that it was waiting for an opportunity to grab hold of him.

"I think its alright now, so long as I am careful and keep a firm grasp on it the magic won't try to do the same to me." He told his teacher, having felt he sensation of it grabbing him once and trying to drag him into its depths... a frightening and somehow exhilarating feeling for certain.

He nodded his head as he looked down at his hands and tried to will his magic to be lighter, to be more like the wispy darkness that the teacher was using as opposed to the thicker, almost pudding like substance in his hands. It took a bit of doing but after a time it finally obeyed him, becoming more like what his teacher was holding.

"Ah! I did it!" He sounded a little in awe, that he could do that step was great, now for the next part. Eyes. Deny. Absorb, that was all... he had to be careful with his emotions, with his thoughts, couldn't risk those around him because his emotions could be iffy at times. He took in a deep breath and lifted his hands, letting his magic move so it was on both hands as he lifted them to cover his eyes for a moment, thinking on what the teacher had told him.

Eyes. Deny. Absorb.

It was a slow going thing, his magic seemed at first to ignore the commands, seeming almost to lay in wait like some sort of predator that wanted to pounce... then it finally moved to follow what it was being willed to do... and as the spell started to do as it was supposed to do Kliken did all that he could do to keep from reacting as everything around him went dark...
