(will find Ane's foal cert later when i get my computer back) Aneurin galloped through the meadow gleefully. Today was the day they were going to meet momma's family! He was going to meet his grandparents, a notion which excited him dreadfully. He had heard from his mother that his grandpa was a knight, a real live knight! Aneurin had always wanted to meet a real knight, though he knew his dad knew how to fight and was training him a bit, his dad was always so vague about fighting. His father wasn't a knight, that much he knew but he also knew Alexiel was a very good fighter. So somewhere in there Ane knew he wasn't getting the full story behind his dad but he wasn't old enough to care just yet.
For now life was about fun, learning to spar with his dad, and going on knightly adventures and doing knightly things (or what he thought were knightly things). Usually it involved slaying fearsome kalona and rescuing damsels in distress, which was most often played by his sister. At the moment however he was zooming along through the field ahead of his family, flapping his wings occasionally though he didnt quite know how to use them that well yet he was trying.
"Aneurin zooms left, he zooms right, he dodges! He is so fast! Unbelievable! He leaps tall mountains in a single beat of his mighty wings!!" He hollered to himself as he jumped a small log, and then circled and raced back to his family. They were so slow!
"Hey! Hey!! Did you see me jump that log? Wasn't it AWESOME!"
Unlike his son, Alexiel was content to walk at a leisurely pace beside his mate, observing Ane with a bemused expression. Honestly...he had no idea where his son had gotten all that energy from, he knew as a foal he himself had liked to play, but he certainly had not had been this rambunctious. Good thing Aneurin was enjoying training, it at least diverted his energy into something Alexiel knew well and could wear his son out a bit and make him more manageable. He was hoping that Fearthainn's father would be able to show Aneurin a thing or two as well it would be good for him to learn things from a knight. Well, both of his children actually, though he knew his daughter would probably not want to train. It worried him at times, she was so gentle and he hoped she would never be taken advantage of. Perhaps it was a thing about fathers and daughters but he felt a lot more protective of her, at least she was still young and she wasn't thinking about boys yet.
He turned to nuzzle Ainn briefly. "I hope your father approves of me. I feel terrible that I haven't met him yet but I was so worried about us travelling while you were carrying the foals."
He sighed. He was quite nervous about meeting Ainn's father to be honest, he knew that the way things had happened was certainly less than conventional, though that didnt make it any less true. Still it might reflect badly on him that he hadn't gone to Callan to ask to court his daughter, though at the time Alex hadn't really thought about it. Well, better late than never he supposed.

{I figure Cal can wait until the next post.} Lumriel watched as her brother took off like a famished fox after a much desired rabbit. The view from beside her mother was uninhibited and comfortable, it wasn’t very often that she felt confident leaving the side of her family to explore. She spent most days glued to her brother’s flank, living life vicariously through him and his friends. She new at times she worried her mother and father due to her passive nature and delicate form. Her mother was strong in both mind and body as was her father and brother; she on the other hand was strong in the mind but didn’t inherit the physical ruggedness that her brother had. She watched as he hurtled a log and raced head long back toward her and her parents, a triumphant smile plastered on his face. It was times like this Lumriel wished she too had the confidence and pride her brother possessed. It wasn’t that she didn’t like herself or anything it was just something within her felt harnessed or incomplete. Shrugging off the thought she smiled at her brother lovingly and trotted a short distance from her mother to meet him.
“I bet you will learn to fly soon Ane! That was a good jump.” She commented jovially. Her own wings spread at the thought of flight and even the slight breeze blowing through her delicate feathers made her wish she could soar into the air. Someday she would be able to fly away, seeing things she had never dreamed of but for now she would enjoy the company of her loved ones and play with her brother. Even her prickling nerves would become dull once she turned her attention to other things. The thought of meeting her grandfather was one she had never spent much time mulling over. Her mother had told her stories of how her grandfather was strict yet loving, strong yet warm and many other things. She also knew that he had only recently found out about her and her brother and was a little anxious to see how he would react to them. Would he love them? Would he even like them? What did he even look like? So many thoughts reverberated off of the inside of her skull she was beginning to get a headache. Turning her attention to her brother she smiled gently. “You are getting good!” Fearthainn could tell by the stiff posture and constricted muscles that her mate was showing signs of nerves and discomfort. For whatever reason she began wondering if turning around and telling her father that she was not yet ready to present Alex to him was a better idea than this. She was sure he would hold no grudge or malcontent towards the children but she was still unsure of what he would say about Alex. Taking stock of her own physical signs she noted her heart beating more rapidly and her own muscles contracting. It was irrational for her to be nervous; she had already told her father the brunt of the news. Her eyes turned to her mate and she felt a foreign feeling building within her stomach and chest area. This feeling had occurred many times since she had first become acquainted with her mate. Mate, this word had circulated within her mind many a times. A mate was one you entrusted your happiness, safety, and future to. One who you are bound to for the rest of your life by a bond she hadn’t yet puzzled out. Taking her eyes from him for a moment she looked at her son, her chest swelling with pride. He was part of her flesh as was her little girl walking beside her. She now knew what her mother meant when she had said that children were the better of two beings. Looking at her daughter who was seemingly uptight she winked and gave her a small smile, assuring her that things would be fine.
The sensation of her mate’s touch sent shivers up her spine and butterflies fluttering in her stomach. Smiling at him warmly she leaned into him, careful not to throw them off whilst walking. It was strange how she didn’t care what her father thought, no matter what she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. “I am sure he will be very proud of you Alex, there are no qualities about you that would be undesirable in his eyes. He takes pride in inner strength as well as physical strength and mental stability. He may be upset about the pregnancy but the probability that he will overlook such an infraction is favorable.” She responded confidently.Nuzzling his neck tenderly as she had seen her mother do so many times to her father she laughed softly. “If he sees what I see I am certain he will not be able to turn away.”
