 A young, winged cub lifted up a paw lazily toward the midday sun. The crystals that dangled from the chain on her wrist looked strangely beautiful that day. Sure, they were beautiful everyday, but today they seemed peculiar. Beautiful, but strangely lacking. They seemed dull today for whatever reason, and as cheerful as she usually was she couldn't quite get her energy up simply because the dullness of her usually shiny and eye-catching crystals were much less so today. And it bugged her.
Zuri, who had been lying on her stomach for quite a while now, rolled over onto her back and stared longingly at the crystals that were still dangling limply from the chain on her wrist. They seemed so lifeless.. so boring. A frustrated sigh escaped her as she continued to stare, turning her wrist this way and that as though a different angle might bring some sort of life and excitement into them. "Why!?" she asked impatiently, poking at one of the crystals with a toe. "You were so BRIGHT before!"
She puffed her lower lip out in a pouting expression and had a staring contest with a thing. Before long it won out and she dropped her paw, closed her eyes and sighed again. She needed more friends. Or at least someone to talk to. That might be enough to get her mind of it. Maybe..

Luci gave a bored yawn as he had decided to stretch his legs a bit. he gave a dramatic flip of his glorious hair and walked with a air of arrogance. seeing as he looked down upon mortals, he wanted to run into a god or goddess that could handle his greatness. being the god of vanity, he felt he was above everyone and it didn't matter who they are. no one could ever change his way of thinking as he was too vain and arrogant to ever let that happen. ears perked as he heard someone or something talking to themselves. a arrogant smirk was on his face as he went over to investigate. oh he hoped it would be another god or goddess since he really needed more than family to be around.

It wasn't long before someone did happen to come along, and another god too. Zuri had opened her eyes and taken in the sight of a rather striking individual, though what it was about him she couldn't quite place. Or maybe it was just that her crystals seemed to pale in comparison.. nah. Well whatever it was it definitely caught her attention, and with a bit of her usual bouncy, energetic personality coming back the cub rolled back onto her stomach and stood up. Zuri sauntered over to the other, noting that she was a bit smaller, and smiled a wide, very toothy smile.
"Hi!" she greeted. "You're pretty! Prettier than my crystals, and those are REALLY pretty, you know?" Zuri held up her paw to show them off. Ah, they glimmered a bit brighter now for some reason, which made her smile widen even more. "Look! Look! Aren't they!?"

Lucilius tilted his head as he watched the goddess come up to him. he gave a smirk though as she complemented him on his looks as he could never not love getting complements. " Ofcourse i am and i know it well." giving a flip of his hair while still smirking, he put a paw out to bring one of the crystals on her closer to see. his a bit jealious for a moment that she could have such lovely crystals on her but he was still the better one. " yes they are quite lovely but nothing can compare to me." still admiring the crystal, he wouldn't that he actually was jealous of them. " i am Lucilius by the way. god of vanity."

Vanity, huh? From what he said Zuri didn't really have a hard time believing that was true. It was interesting though, funny even, and she was always happy to meet someone new. From the way he looked at her crystals she could tell that he was at least telling the truth when he said that her crystals were pretty, and since this was the god of vanity she was talking to that was probably a huge compliment, which made Zuri smile wider and puff up a bit with pride. "Thanks!" she said with a laugh.
The little goddess then started to unlink one of the crystals dangling on the chain around her leg, since he seemed rather taken by them. "D'you want one?" she asked, offering him the little crystal that now sat on her paw. "I've got lots so I don't mind sharing. You could make it into a necklace!"

Luci snapped out of his admiring the crystals when she suddenly asked if he would like one and was even handing one over to him. " if you really don't mind...." he took the crystal with a big smile, and made sure to keep it close. " your very nice to give up a crystal to me." it really was the closest he ever really got to giving out complements. he always was a self centered brat but at the moment he was touched she gave him a little gift without a second thought. "what is your name anyways?"

Zuri's gave an energetic nod as he took it and thanked her without really saying "thanks". "I'm glad you like it!" she said, her smile widening that much more. Really, she was smiling from ear to ear, especially after receiving something of a compliment from her new acquaintance. When he asked for her name her thoughts flew back to the beginning of their meeting and she realized that she never properly introduced herself. With a little look of surprise the little goddess caught herself mid-laugh and cleared her throat.
"Sorry, I didn't tell you yet huh?" she asked, ears flattened with a bit of embarassment. It was rude to not introduce yourself, after all. Her excitement level seemed to go down a significant amount at that point, and she went on with her little introduction. "I'm Zuri," she said with a nod. Some of her energy from just a moment ago returned as she continued, "Goddess of Crystals!"

it wasn't often someone could get Lucilius to be rather nice. he always was into himself so it was rare he was ever greatful for something. still playing a bit with the crystal with a grin on his face, he really liked the pretty crystal. " that would explain why you seem to have so many crystals." he was too into the crystal that was now his, he didn't pay attention that she was embarrassed by not introducing herself. to lucilius it was all about him so it didn't phase him that someone else wouldn't introduce themselves as long as they knew exactly who he was since everyone had to know he was Lucilius god of Vanity.

As it seemed that Lucilius didn't pay much attention to her lack of an introduction just moments earlier, Zuri was back to her normal, energetic self in no time. She sat and watched him watch the crystal for a while, then decided that she might have been away from home for just a bit too long now, so with hesitance she cleared her throat and started her little goodbye.
"I think my mom's gonna be looking for me if I'm away too long.." the godling said, looking back in the general direction of where she knew her mother was. "I'll get in trouble if I'm home after dark too, so um.." and she paused, pale blue eyes watching the God of Vanity still watching the crystal with quite the grin.
"If you want another one just ask," she said with a little giggle. "Next time though, 'cause I have to go home. When we meet again, okay?"

Lucilius was quickly reminded that he should be getting back home soon. he may be a juvi at the moment but he was still to young to run about too long on his own with no one with him. " Ok, i have to go to or i might get in major trouble with my dad." luci gave a wink to Zuri. "until we meet again." keeping the crystal firmly in his mouth, he then took off to home and couldn't wait to brag about his awesome crystal he was gifted.
