Raven was bored, it had been storming most of the morning a downpour of rain, crashing thunder and wild winds, exciting at first...but dull once he realized he wouldn't be allowed out to play in the chaotic weather. His mother was entirely too protective sometimes, Ravin often wished she just let them do what they wanted - like father. Father didn't care what they did.
Alas father wasn't here at the moment - he rarely was - and mother was convinced the tossing wind held some sort of danger - and had left a babysitter guarding the den door while she took a nap. Luckily for him the 'babysitter' was Raz..a dead bird. Raven's boredom was only tolerated because he knew it would soon be coming to an end.
Oh! her brother was planning something - she knew he was! Why else would he have sent her to watch mother until she feel asleep? Give her orders to run back and tell him once she was sure - absolutely sure - that she was off in dreamland somewhere? He was planning something and he was probably going to drag her along with him. They were going to get into trouble and like always it would probably be her fault. She'd mess up or make to much noise or slow Raven down to much...sometimes she really wondered why her brother even bothered with her at all. He'd be better off with Whirlpool or Conq.
Her ears twitched slightly as her mother's paws fluttered slightly, was she still awake? She hadn't moved in a while now and the pup studied her for several long moments - just to be sure - before giving herself a slight nod. Dreaming. Mother was dreaming...which meant it was time to go and tell Raven. Lurching to her paws she crept slowly past her assorted siblings to reach her twin who stood staring out into the rain.
