"Now, yes! Turn that way." Senri was nearing the end of his model shoot, turning to the left and tilting his head to the right. They were doing the new winter fashion for several stores. So far, Senri had had to model an array of jackets, gloves, and pants. "That's good." The photographer clicked one last time, waving his hand to indicate he was finished. An assistant handed Senri a smoothie to which he accepted, sipping it while the photographer looked over his shots. "We're good."

"Thanks for working with us." He stood up, shaking hands with Senri. "Not at all. It was a pleasure." Senri said, taking his hand and shaking it cordially with a smile. While his senshi side depended on his whims, work was a different nature. He was always dependable and timely when he took on an obligation.

"The rest of your schedule is free." His manager immediately informed him as soon as he had reached the exit. "I see." Senri answered, checking his cellphone. "By the way, I met that other model," Model? What other model? Senri met a great deal of models, and she continued with "that player one." Ah, that rung a bell. "He tried hitting on me."

"Haha." Senri chuckled to which she said testily, "This isn't a joke."

"Well, that guy really hasn't changed." Senri was recalling his memories, contrasting it with the person he knew today. He was an old rival of Senri's or so he considered himself to be. However, Senri had never paid attention to him.

----

Seth was sitting against a fence on a public balcony, his reading glasses situated upon his face while he was skimming a reading that he had to do for a college. The building was located in a block of popular stores, both for clothing and food. This particular building was a popular hang out spot for kids who had to study for exams and do their homework. The first floor consisted of a coffee shop and many tables and chairs with outlets for their laptops. The second floor was similar in it's design, minus the coffee shop. The third floor actually more of a strage area although there were still the tables and chairs.

However, the 3rd floor was always relatively empty due to the fact that not many people bothered with it or didn't know about it. That suited the loner quite well. Several cups of coffee sat beside him while Seth turned the page.

That was when the book hit him directly in the face. It's pages plastered to his glasses, the book had been presumably left behind and blown. or the wind had blown it to an elevated degree. Seth pulled off the book with a annoyed glance, his cheek twitching.

Seth probably would have thrown it away. He wasn't in the habit of reading other people's books, diaries, or whatever they had. But as he was about to stand up, his gray eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar yet unfamiliar word. It would be familiar to those who knew it, but they were a minority. Negaverse.

As he turned the pages of what appears to be a diary, his face was losing more and more color.

If one more person commented on her "rack" she was going to kill someone.

Not necessarily the person who commented, either. Kaatje was thinking about ripping the head off a nearby civilian and then throwing it at the offender. It wasn't that she thought that the man was unattractive, because that was simply untrue. He was pretty sexy, as in definitely hot, as in if he wasn't a model she was going absolutely insane. The fashion designer she had been cultivating in herself for years and years catalogued the long legs, the platinum hair, the cheekbones that could cut diamond, and was quietly envious of whatever designer or agency had snapped this one up.

Except for the fact that he kept talking about how nice her chest looked in that top, and how she was so pretty but she'd be prettier hanging off his arm. In desperation, she picked up her phone and flipped it open--"Ah, want my number, do you?"--to text the other model she knew would be here because she had seen him, that a**.

Senri Cross if you don't get out here and save me from your ETERNAL RIVAL I will personally set you on fire.

----

Paul knew he was in trouble when he noticed the private journal was gone. It was very rare for him to misplace things--especially that book, which was where he kept his own personal thoughts, the kind that weren't exactly fit for viewing by anyone but himself. Which meant whoever had it would have to be quickly and quietly disposed of. Luckily, he had tools almost tailor-made for the subtle disposal of people who had seen what they shouldn't. And he knew exactly where the book should be, unless someone had removed it. And why would they? It was just a book full of crazy ramblings to anyone else. He clutched at the henshin pen in his pocket and took the stairs two at a time.

His worst fears were confirmed when he saw someone bent over the book, the other man's face pale as he read. This person couldn't comprehend some of the terms--starseed, Negaverse--but they certainly could tell he was discussing the cold-blooded murder of human beings. He moved towards the area behind the person and, as quietly as he could, became Spinel; it was still full of bright lights, but the tone of the accompanying bells was muted. "Give that back to me," he said, calmly; he held out a hand for his book. "And maybe I'll let you live."

He wouldn't, of course, but more flies with honey, right?

Senri and his manager took the elevator down to the lobby of the building, where his text ringtone immediately sounded as he stepped out of the elevator. He flipped his phone open, expecting a text from perhaps, work or another model. Imagine his surprise when it was Kaatje. The Kaatje, who went out of her way to avoid Senri. Circumstances had them meeting involuntarily, but Senri would never have thought that she would voluntarily text him. His blue eyes alit in interest. He scanned the text, before letting out a half laugh with a half amused, half exasperated expression. His gloved hand went contemplatingly to his chin, debating the issue.

Regarding her threat, Kaatje might actually have carried it out. Senri wouldn't put it past her. He was almost half-tempted to leave her to see how she would deal with it, but then again, the next time he met her, she wouldn't let him off so easily. And that would be more of a pain.

He sighed, parting ways with his manager, but with a smile. "I have to meet up with a friend." He waved to his manager, and then left abruptly through the door.

"He looks like he's having so much fun." His manager remarked, a bit bemused, but shrugged, used to such things. Senri had never made much sense in the first place.

He spotted Kaatje's orange locks almost immediately, when he surveyed the remaining block. He wasn't entirely sure about the eternal rival, but as he walked closer, he spotted the familiar model's face. "Hey there, Princess." Senri came up from behind, his arm slund around Kaatje's shoulder and wrapping around her neck. He leaned on Kaatje lazily. "As you requested, I came." He smiled at her, definitely enjoying these circumstances. No, he wasn't kind enough not to make fun of somebody else's unfortunate situation.

"Oh, I heard you were around." He spoke to his rival as if he had just noticed him. He held up a hand to wave to him, "Still hitting on girls? Don't tell me you have nothing better to do."

He looked to Kaatje, and this his opponent. "Sorry, but this one is unavailable."

--

Seth looked up with gray eyes, why weren't they surprised, to see an unfamiliar person coming towards him. No, he had sensed the power signature before Spinel had reached him.

Seth didn't put up a fight. "It was hard to read that." Seth tossed the book back to the unfamiliar senshi, probably the owner of the book. But a senshi? With a book hand-in-hand about starseeds, and murdering? This feeling was different from senshi or negaverse. Yet, he was clearly a senshi. Seth was tempted to sigh. What side was senshi affiliated with anyways? Somebody hadn't explained the negaverse clearly enough to Raite.

His face was pale, not from the cold-blooded killing mentioned by Spinel, but the sickening drivel that he had read. He had to cover his mouth, having felt all of his dignity slowly shrivel up and die. Why would anybody write such a .. pitiful diary. Upon reflecting, he really should have left it alone. But now that he had read it, he had become involved. "Have you thought of some professional help?" Seth asked with a straight face, and a very honest tone. In all honesty, you had to allow for the fact that he was trying to help.

But if this male was truly part of the negaverse, Seth seriously doubted his words. He would probably end up in the river as a dead body. Not that he was planning to of course. "Is lying acceptable in the negaverse? Anything goes, I suppose." Personally, Seth had no fondness for liars.

And he hoisted himself up, his hands buried inside of his jacket. "If you can kill me, I'd like to see you try." A bold smirk crossed Seth's face. He was always game for a fight.

Kaatje attempted to ignore her lovely hanger-on as she examined dresses. It was important to look one's best when attending events, which the Halloween ball promised to be; but she couldn't concentrate enough to see what was salvageable when someone was standing right behind her telling her of all the beauties he'd seen wear that exact same dress. Honestly, was he trying to insult her or to approve of her choices? She narrowed her true-blue eyes at the rack of dresses. If she actually liked empire waists, there was a flame-red one that would coordinate well with her hair and a white mask… but then, there was also a white-gold one that would go even better with her eyes. It was really just a choice she had to make.

If only the idiot behind her would shut up!

For a minute, she was pleased to see Senri; to see the flabbergasted and irritated look on the face of her lovely stalker was even better. Her smile grew into a bit of a self-satisfied smirk. This faded into a bit of a confused look; perhaps it hadn't been such a good idea to ask Senri for help, if he was going to pull this. Models weren't exactly as good as she was at making decisions (which was really, really bad; even she knew she sucked at planning things out). Still, she was definitely pleased to see the blond man set off his stride and trying to recover. "Hey, not cool, man. Taking all the pretty girls?"

Kaatje laughed, bringing up a hand to cover her mouth. "Too bad," she said cheerfully, sing-song; "Sooooo sad."

--

Spinel's face was placid as he caught his book; he tucked it into the green band around his waist, without comment, without retribution. He simply looked very calm, calm and empty and unresponsive as if waiting for the man to say something of relevance to him. Hard to read it, was it? As it should have been. It was his book, his book, and the brown eyes went entirely narrow. "I fail to see that issue's relevance to you," he said, "since you'll soon be dead."

Some people got brave when faced with death. He'd seen it before, in mothers struggling to defend their children, and in men for parents, brothers, wives. It was a trait he admired, one that deserved honor and maybe mercy. In this case, however, he didn't particularly care for honor or mercy or any of those high-minded thoughts. In this case, he wanted this arrogant brat's blood to coat the floor of the levels below.

And that was exactly what he intended to do; with the skill of more than a decade of martial arts, he grabbed Seth's collar and dumped him over the ledge, towards a crowded shopping area. He followed shortly after to a cacophony of screams.

"Not cool?" Seth sighed as if he had explained this to the man before him a dozen times already. If he didn't realize that he was being made fun of, there really was nothing more then looks and an overinflated ego to him. "You can't take what's already taken." Of course, you couldn't miss Kaatje's input from the background, Senri couldn't restrain his laugh. "Besides, I'm sure that you won't miss this one too much. She's too much for you to handle." If she went all-out on the fellow model, Senri was sure that he would have been burned to a crisp. Literally? Or figuratively? Either one, or possibly both.

"Now if you'll excuse me.. we actually have a date." There was that smile once more that, that overall sparkling, deceiving smile that meant Senri was lying. To people that knew him well, of course. Of course, a date could have been anything. It could have been platonic, an appointment merely between friends. Or it could entertain a romantic interest, which could never happen between Senri and Kaatje. But Senri let him make his own assumptions, clearly not going to make an effort to correct him any time soon.

Senri picked up both dresses from the rack, the flame-red and white-gold that Kaatje had been eyeing, leading her to the dressing room. "Choose somebody else. You'll be happier. Trust me." Senri advised over his shoulder as he was leaving. He rarely dispensed advice, but in this case, it would be wise to take it.

--

Seth was caught by momentary surprise, knowing that a gruesome fate laid in wait for him if he hit that pavement. A very painful death. Not that Seth liked unnecessary injuries. In a split second, he had no choice other than switch into his negaverse persona, his civilian clothing quickly replaced by the black militaristic clothes of the negaverse.

He caught himself just in time, landing on the ground with all the expertise of a cat. The skid of his boots could clearly be heard, some people gasped in relief at the fact that somebody hadn't died before their eyes - others in shock at the sight of the two .. terrorists?

"I'm not planning to die any time soon." Seth responded, his mouth curving into a grin. "Now, let's fight." His wooden tonfas appeared in his hands, heading straight for Spinel, not caring about the other civilians around them. But they got out of the way quickly enough, Seth's tonfas slashing the air in furious, unrelenting strikes in order to hit his opponent.

The blonde man was left pouting as Kaatje and Senri walked away. She didn't even spare the dark-haired man's rival a backwards glance, instead choosing to pretend she wasn't vaguely irritated at Senri for no real reason. As they walked, she picked up a blue dress--same shade as her eyes--still in that troubled, dark silence.

"If I wanted to make someone happy, I could," she said finally, after a few quiet moments, holding out her hands for the dresses. Maybe she could rope him into shopping with her; he did have a good eye for clothes. His wardrobe proved it. Maybe he was gay? That would make sense. Still, it felt like she was actually bonding with the older senshi.

This blissful moment was interrupted when she heard screaming.

As she dropped the expensive clothing, she was glad for her tendency to shop at smaller boutiques and ateliers. There were no video cameras in their dressing rooms, simply because there was no need; people were rare enough that the counter girls knew who had been wearing what and who went where. So she could just yank Senri into one of the stalls and hiss at him, henshin up, quick!

Super Sailor Gunn stood there one flamestorm later, feeling absolutely ridiculous with the cleavage she now sported. Before, it'd been pretty alright, her uniform; sure, everyone thought she had no chest, but this one the size of her bust was almost too obvious. Was there not a happy medium?!

No time to debate it. "C'mon," she ordered, and she kicked the door down.

----

Spinel landed just as gracefully, if not more so. Years upon years of tai chi had taught him exquisite control of his body, and he didn't waste it here; a forearm came up, swept the attacks aside almost like they were nothing. One or two hits slipped past his guard, but these two were almost perfectly balanced in force and experience. Or so Spinel would guess, if he was pressed.

When he saw the senshi emerging from a dressing room, his eyes went narrow. "Stop," he said, lifting a hand to point. "Why don't we just have a competition? The redhead's more powerful, but a senshi's a senshi. Whoever gets their starseeds is..." He considered it. "...well, the victor."

----

"Are you kidding me," said Gunn.

"Here you go, mada-" Senri said with a mock smile, intending to hand over the clothes to Kaatje before they were interrupted by familiar screams. That could only be one of two options. Kaatje and Senri knowing one of the two options very well. He was yanked into the stall, nearly hitting his head on the overhead of the stall. "Be careful. I'm not any use dead or unconscious." Although if these had been any other circumstances, one could depend on Senri to remark on the fact that they were close enough to share a stall.

Kaatje didn't have to repeat her hissed order. Senri understood. More then he wanted to understand, anyways. "Yeah, yeah, I understand." Senri looked to a corner, running his hands through his hair. He nearly sighed. Why was it, despite his wishes, that every other outing seemed to involve the negaverse? Surely, they had something better to do? Senri knew that he did, until all of his plans had come to an abrupt halt.

The wind from his transformation blew out sparks from Gunn's transformation beneath the stall of the dressing room. He followed Gunn's footsteps (in light of the broken door), wondering who was going to pay for that?

It wasn't until they stepped out that Senri had the chance to see Gunn's new outfit. He was straightening his glove when the glove dropped from his fingers at the sight. "..Huh?" There was the oddest expression on his face, a mixture of bemusement, bafflement, and a 'what the hell just happened.'

Well then, questions first. "When, exactly, were you planning to tell me?" And then his gaze trailed to Gunn's chest. "Or I suppose I should ask, when did you get a pair of breasts?" Why exactly was he conversing with Gunn at a pivotal moment in battle? It really was one of those hero moments when they ignored their enemies in light of a more important argument. Mainly his and Gunn's sad lack of communication. And her great developments. In more ways then one.

---

A flicker or irritation crossed Raite's normally empty gray eyes. The other negaverser's skill was admirable. But in this case, it was merely annoying. Why was it, he felt the feeling that Spinel wasn't taking him seriously? That was one guaranteed way to irritate the other male.

"Stop."It was just in time that his hand stopped at Spinel's proclamation, his tonfa mere centimetes away from the side of Spinel's face. He didn't need to follow Spinel's gaze, already having felt their power signatures. He examined the senshi emerging from the dressing room with a narrowed gaze. He didn't care for senshi. Unlike others, he didn't hold any personal grudges nor any joy and satisfaction in killing them. They were merely a obstacle in their queen's way, and by extension, his.

He stepped forward, matching Spinel side by side. "We're not done yet." He uttered to the negaverser, not willing to let their fight end on such a weak note. However, there were more important things at hand.

Without a word or any pleasantries, he had already jumped off the heel of his foot, wooden tonfas in hand to aim for Gunn.

--

Zephyr had always known that Gunn had her .. assets. Well, at least a semblance of it. "And no, I don't believe they're kidding." He drawled to Gunn's hypothetical question. "We're talking. Later." He jumped out of Raite's pathway, intending to take on the other opponent, and landed behind Spinel. His clothes were .. odd, they reminded him of the style of a senshi's yet senshi were noted to be more white then black. "Are you a senshi or a negaverse? I don't suppose it matters either way." Sailor Zephyr had no qualms about attacking either his enemy or even other senshi.

"BREAK WIND!"

PostPosted: Thu Dec 02, 2010 7:48 am

She was glad, for a moment, that Senri was not being a huge d**k about everything. He tended to be a d**k, asking her to spend time showing him how to use his phone, insulting her chest--

Wait, no, he totally was insulting her chest. Right now, in fact. "Now is not the time," she said, her tone rising, "I wasn't exactly thinking about my new outfit today!"

The tall, dark-haired corrupted senshi--Spinel, she'd fought him before, she knew him--could almost be Zephyr's twin. They both had dark hair, dark eyes; darkish fuku, though Spinel's was black and Zephyr wore white. "He's corrupted," she yelled over to Zephyr as she ducked under the third dark-haired man's weapons, one fist coming up towards Raite's stomach. "Be careful!"

---

Spinel eyed the other senshi for a moment. Did it matter, he wondered, if he was senshi or negaverse? He was clearly disrupting the peace, he didn't look like a regular senshi, there was a gaping hole in his chest...

A less mature senshi might have laughed at the title of Zephyr's attack. Spinel, though, was caught by surprise with the force of the other senshi's offensive. He stumbled back a few steps, tripping and almost falling; he caught himself on a knee, stood up.

God damn he hated being caught off guard. "Is that all," he asked, and then he moved forward, one fist on a crash course for Zephyr's chin.

Talking while fighting? She wasn't taking Raite seriously. His body drew back instinctively, Gunn's fist grazing his clothes but the negaverse lieutenant managed avoid any real damage from the senshi's punch.

That didn't deter him, dropping below the senshi's reach and aiming for a hit to her chin from the lower vantage point.

--

Corrupted senshi, huh? From the sound of it, then Zephyr would have to watch out for the senshi's magical powers as well. Ah, what a pain. Wasn't there something unbalanced here?

Sailor Zephyr took the unexpected hit, crashing back into a window display. Thankfully, the glass was similar to safety glass like car windows meaning that Zephyr wasn't seriously injured. He ignored the surprised shrieks from the saleslady at the cashier, quickly sitting up, revealing that he was still participating in this double battle. "Owch.." Zephyr's gloved hand fingered the sore area, reflecting that he was going to have to put a cool compress on it afterward. His manager was not going to be happy.

His mind quickly calculated that his attack wouldn't be effective against the corrupted senshi. His enemy's skill in combat was not to be underestimated. It was time to stop depending on these pathetic senshi attacks and deal with something more concrete. His hands picked up a short metal pole that had held up a waist high mannequin but dislodged due to Zephyr's crash. "Brute force isn't my style." Zephyr didn't utilize his body as much as he did weapons. Fists were a bit too crude, wouldn't you say?

"Not yet." A smirk crossed his features, finally replying to Spinel's question, taking a slash at him with his metal pole.

As Spinel danced out of the way of Zephyr's attack, the uppercut made contact with Gunn's chin. Her teeth clacked together, she tasted blood in her mouth, and then there was a sharp spike of fury. This flash of emotion was foreign to her, despite popular belief. Caught in its throes, she reached for a display of lighters. She threw them into piles of clothes on clearance tables; the clothes caught, slowly, inexorably. "Zephyr," she yelled, "Get down! Gunn Wildfire Voracious Propagation!"

It was the only warning anyone got.

Then fires exploded around them. It was all captured on closed-circuit camera as the red-headed senshi's attack took effect.

Spinel, seeing this, panicked. He crossed to Raite, grabbed the Lieutenant's hands and they disappeared as sirens began to wail. Gunn heaved a few deep breaths before a feeling of deep, abiding panic overtook her--she grabbed Zephyr's hand and yanked him away, her superior strength and speed pulling him along as she bolted.
