๑ Charmingly polite, humble, and elegant, yet quite quirky with her remarks at times. She is prone to lose her polite and regal demeanor when confronted with particular things she is fond of; mostly pastries and morbid things, to which she becomes infatuated and dreamy.
๑ Past:
Twenty years ago, a Hylian scientist and his researcher wife made merry in the twilight before night, celebrating their anniversary. On their way back home to their manor on the outskirts of Lake Hylia, the wife's merriment subsided and she broke into tears. It had been five years, and they could not conceive a child. Though her husband tried to comfort her, it was in vain.
Fate pitied them that night. Only minutes passed before the coos of a baby, not the cries, broke through the growing dark of the evening. The couple found the Oni baby, inches from the corpse of her horned, Oni mother, her infant hands petting her mother's cheeks as if trying to rouse her gently from sleep.
The couple rescued the baby, and decided to keep her as their own, doting upon her as their daughter. However, when she turned three, two small nubs of Oni Horns began to grow upon her head. Frightened that she was cursed, they sought to gain normality by filing them down, and giving the child bows and fancy hair ribbons to cover what might show of the nubs.
Souffle grew up loved but lonely, and wondering what she or her mother did to become 'cursed' with such an ailment.
