I have been thinking about making this thread for a long time. I don't know how many avid readers we have but I know I read a lot and I think Zeph does too.

So, just post what book(s) you are currently reading. And if you want, maybe what you think about them.

I'm currently reading:
Female Serial Killers: How and Why Women Become Monsters by Peter Vronsky - This is for school and kind of disturbing but also interesting.

Brisingr by Christopher Paolini - I'm really just reading this because I never have and it seems dumb not to finish the series. It's pretty good.

I've been reading the first post. :3

Edit: xD To be serious, I've actually been reading the Communist Manifesto. :3

How Did You get This Number by Sloane Crosely
I ******** love this author, she's such a brilliant storyteller. I picked up her other book, I Was Told There'd Be Cake last year and I was ecstatic when I heard she had a new one. xd

For AP English I'm reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

And on the side The Watchers by Dean Koontz.

I need to finish Brisingr as well. I read like 100 pages into it, and then my brother went back to college.

Reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. : )

Not too long ago I finished Tuesdays with Morrie for my sociology class. It was quite comfortable reading, sweet and sentimental.

Cookie, those titles sound hilarious, and I am now looking for them at my local library. biggrin

They're so good, best essays you'll ever read. Here's a good one. xd
My favorite essay, though, is "Bring Your Machete to Work Day." xd

I approve of this thread! biggrin

I'm reading The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco and Foundation by Isaac Asimov.
Rose is technically overdue, so I should probably get off and get back to reading it. ninja
Foundation is pretty interesting so far, but I think it would piss off most of my friends if I recommended it to them. Most of it's been dialogue, and it has a knack for setting up possible action and then finding a way to completely avoid big fight scenes. xd

I'm also sort of reading Monster by Naoki Urasawa. Except that it's less 'reading' and more 'waiting for the two volumes I'm missing to ship so I can finish it'.

EDIT: Pick one genre? You are an evil person, Dessy.

lol, wow. That's better insight to this book than any online summaries told me. And my library does have a copy, so I've put it on hold. Thanks, Cookie!

Right, ZK? I voted fantasy but will add now young adult's, adventure, and humor/romance. biggrin

Arrogant Armies: Great Military Disasters and the Generals Behind Them- James Perry

It's historical violence porn, essentially. Just BRUTAL death tolls, and really illuminates just how human a structured military can be.

I'm not reading a single thing, and I haven't for months. Last thing I read was The Tommyknockers by Stephen King. Err, wait, no, Insomnia. Also by Stephen King. I AM trying to read the Dark Tower, but I haven't gotten around to it. My The Stand book riped in half, and other s**t, so it's no unreadable. I think before my Stephen King kick was this book called Spiral which is like, a prequel to The Ring, or at least the Japanese version. Might have been Harry Potter, or Twilight. I dunno. I don't READ the things I- not that I should but the books that people would expect me to read. I dunno. <********, I wish someone would book format some L4D stories and stuff. I would be all over that, hell, I would write some of it.
