Heavy steps could be heard echoing through the trees as Kenet foraged onward. He was large, even for a helboar, and his size only seemed to grow with the wider variety of food in this world. Granted, he was not fat so to say, but the sustenance of this world apparently had more nutrition than the grasses and meats of the Hellfire Peninsula. He had no clue as to how he managed to get to this world - The last thing he could remember was fighting a paladin at the edge of the dark portal and them both falling in. What seemed like hours of pain had followed before he had blacked out, and when he woke he found himself in this very different world. At this moment all he knew was that this world he was in was not the main land, he was no longer in the Outlands, and the food here was abundant and delicious. It was as if he had died and gone to the boar's heaven. Stooping his large, broad head to the ground he shuffled in the fallen leaves, sniffing for the faint scent of berries. Food was his only concern now - he had and knew of nothing else. ((For reference, Outlands is an Island south and off the main lands and the Troll territory - the Dark portal is left over from a magic using soquili and is the customary way to travel to the main land/continent that connects to the soquili lands as there arent any boats. The portal glitched and sent Kenet much farther north to the Soquili lands. As the post is from his perspective he thinks he is in a different world. ))

Miki hummed softly to herself as she made her way through the forest. Today was not one of her normal monster hunting days. Nope not even close, she had run out of the herbs she normally used to make her sun dried fish and was out on the hunt to gather more.
Pausing for a moment to turn her head and make sure the last of her dried fish was still stuck between the trees on her back the mare smiled. Herb collecting wasn't nearly as exciting as hunting monsters or going to talk to her friends but it was relaxing.
Moving past the small collection of berry bushes, Miki did a small dance when she found just the herbs she was looking for growing in small groups.

Freezing in his steps and inhaling deeply Kenet savored the delicious scent that had just reached his sensitive nose. He had never come across this scent before. Without a moments hesitation he did what he had always done best - he followed his nose. Though what he found was quite the opposite of what he had been expecting. He had been expecting food, yet before him was another equine creature. Well, the creature could be food if Kenet got hungry enough, he knew that, but Kenet had always prefered to consume things that did not resemble himself in any way. Taking another deep breath Kenet drew closer to the other being. He took in four scents that could be counted as food. Two were warm scents and came from the being, and two were earthy scents that came from the berry bush the equine creature was by and the 'grass' that lay scattered around the area. To tell the truth the berries were starting to seem quite enticing, and they would be what he would eat, but his curiosity about the strange scent was still there. He was unsure if the other being would attack him or not - he was after all in his territory. Wait.... As Kenet focused on the scents belonging to the being he realized it would indeed be Her territory. With a loud grunt Kenet made his presence known, but he did not converse just yet. He lowered his head, tusks at the ready, just in case though. The first reaction would tell him whether or not he would find out what the scent was or not.

The loud grunt brought Miki out of her dancing. Spinning around she took step back closer to woods behind her as a means of protecting her back then immediantly faltered. She had no idea what the creature that had grunted at her was. He looked like another soquili but he also had large...spikes? growing out of him. And that was something she had not seen from another soquili yet. The other soquili...being...thingy didn't appear to be a kalona or skinwalker or one of the many other things in the forest that might eat her so the mare smiled lightly trying to be friendly. " Hello?... umm I'm Miki" She smiled softly at the thingy hoping it would see she wasn't anything to fear or worse try to fight. " Its nice to meet you! What are you?"
Miki closed her eyes for a moment hoping she wasn't sounding rude. She so much hated to sound rude or to be rude, but she was just so curious about the thingy. If she didn't feel as if she might have to fight or flee at the moment she would take her large book of mythos creatures from her back and look to see if the thingy was listed in the book.

He had shocked the female, obvious by her suddenly stopping what she was doing. But there wasn't any flashy moves, no challenge, no sign of imminent danger - in fact the female almost seemed to be captivated and frightened by him. At least he could understand the females language; it meant communication would be okay as their languages seemed to be the same. Kenet tilted his head slightly as he gave one last moments hesitation - one could never be too careful after all - before speaking. "I'm..." Kenet gruffly started before having to clear his throat. It had been so long since he had spoken that his voice refused to work properly. Once sure he would no longer be raspy Kenet continued. "A Helboar. What are you?" He assumed the question was an appropriate thing to ask as the female had asked it of him.

" A helboar? I've never heard of that before. I'm a ...." How exactly did she answer this? She wasn't like most other soquili who fell into a classification such as being a wind or a kirin or even a Kalona. She was what most called a mutant though she was rather sure she did not like that term, it sounded.....so rude. " I'm a mutant soquili....though I don't like that word... Mutant... Just cause I'm different doesn't mean I'm a freak. I'm just geneticly different. A genetic mutation not any other kind." Blushing slightly Miki shut her mouth. She was trying hard recently not to run her mouth to much.

So the female had never herd of a Helboar? He must have been ported to a different world if the creatures of this world did not know of a helboar. He wiggled his lower jaw a bit as he listened to the female as she spoke of mutants. "So... A Mutant is something that is different; a freak?" Kenet asked, not meaning to be rude. He thought on this for a moment. "I guess that means I'm a mutant as well then... But wouldn't the term unique be more fitting for that term? Different in one's own special way?" He paused yet again, grinding his teeth. He didn't quite know if unique would fit. "But then again, everyone is unique, just not in looks. If everyone wasn't it'd be a very boring world. Just makes those like us even more special, I guess; Unique in both looks and personality, like a double edged knife."

Miki nodded softly, as she thought over the stallion? Helboar's? words. "yes I think Unique would probably be a better word than mutant. But then again it it not quite the exact right word as you said. While I am unique to every one else. To myself I am just normal. Its very hard to know how to explain myself I guess.." Smiling softly, Miki shrugged. What in the world was she to say. The whole situation was rather new to her and she was trying her best. " I guess Mutant or Unique. I'm just me. Just Miki ...if that makes sense"

"You are you; nothing more, nothing less - I understand completely." Kenet said with a slight smile. "And I guess, since I haven't seen any others of my kind here, I am just Kenet." The sudden realization that he was alone in this world came to him like a sledge-hammer to the gut. He dropped his gaze to the ground, trying to take his mind off of the thought. Helboars were normally solitary creatures, preferring to carve out their own territory and not allow any others into it - but though this was customary and he did have his own territory in the Outlands, there had always been his family near by who were allowed to cross and who he would converse with. Oh well; it hadn't bothered him before so there was no need for it to bother him now. Raising his head once more he nodded past Miki to the berry bush. "Are.." Kenet said, his hunger once again consuming his thoughts. "Are you going to eat those?"

" Eat? huh?" Glancing towards where the stallion had nodded, Miki giggled softly. "Oh the berries? No I don't eat a whole lot of fruit, I makes my stomache hurt if I eat to much. Go ahead" The mare smiled softly glancing around once again. Why was she out here away... Oh yes the herbs she needed. Leaning her head down she sniffed at the small patch of growing herbs trying to decide which where the ones she should pick. Her aunt had explained to her in great detail how to tell if different kinds of herbs were ready to be used... but she truly couldn't remember half of what her aunt has said. " No I didn't come out here for the berries I came to pick herbs so I can make my food."

Excitedly Kenet trotted over to the berries the second Miki said she was not going to be eating them. He grunted softly as he sniffed through the bush and gobbled up as many berries as he could fit into his mouth. He listened though as he ate, taking note of what the "grass" he had noted earlier was called. "So, you actually have to make your food? You dont just eat it as you find it?"

Miki shook her head lightly." No I eat fish, I don't like it raw. Its slimy and smelly. I rub the scales off then I wrap it in herbs and let the sun back it. Its soo good. " Turning her head slightly she removed a small piece of already sun dried fish from her back. " I eat it like this"
EDIT:
I'm sorry to do this, but I'm going to have to end this rp for now. Miki is trying for breeding slots with Jarl. And yeah Idk this doesn't seem to be flowing well at the moment.
