Name
_____Goes by "Delve".

Name Origins
_____Nick-named as such for his descent into shadow, and the places in the world where few will go.

Gender
_____Male

Age
_____25

Height
_____6'2"

Career
_____Makes and sells masks.

Path
_____Sage of Shadow

Likes
_____Playing his flute. Gathering materials and decorations for his masks, cave exploration, illusions and the unraveling of them. Fascinated by potions and the ones who make them. Has a thing for Gerudo women. Loves bonfires and celebrations, and will often cycle across the land attending bonfires in one of his masks, peddling his creations.

Dislikes
_____Anyone who tries to remove his mask. Those who take advantage of lies and illusions to harm or trick good souls.

Favourite Food
_____Mountain spring water, which he is hardly able to get. That's a long hike for some water.

Vices
_____He loves bonfire celebrations to a fault, and he will often come out of hiding in favour of a party, ruining his cover. Stuck up, and more than a little narcissistic; Delve has trouble seeing the merits of others, though he can admire work.

Virtues
_____Kind-hearted and patient, Delve would make a good teacher if he wasn't so secretive. Excellent partner in combat.

Talents
_____Mask-making, his flute. He's also good at escaping pretty much any situation, along with disguising himself. His long hair makes it a little too eerily easy for him to masquerade as a woman, though he will pretty much avoid that at all costs, since it makes him deeply uncomfortable. Formidable illusionist and natural Lens of Truth.

Five Main Traits━━━━━━

Stripped Sight;

In imitation of an artifact of the Shiekah, Delve is gifted with the ability to see through all but the most impressive illusions. As far as magic is concerned, he will always know something is up, even if it's just "There's something not right about this". When he is seeing an illusion, his vision is tinged with almost a gold hue at the edges, and he can see the illusion out of his periphery. Whatever he looks at head-on, however, he will recognize for its true nature. As far as humans are concerned, if the illusion is a lie or an affectation, Delve has been training for most of his life to recognize the illusory nature of human lies. If, in light of that, anyone tries to lie to him, whether by magic or other more organic deceptions, Delve will show no mercy.

Future Hope;
Delve isn't always optimistic. If he was drawing straws, for example, he'd probably mutter about how he was going to pick the short one, and he knew it. However, as soon as the topic of conversation shifts to any kind of future for himself, Hyrule, the sages...he changes his tune right fast. He believes that things will truly work out, and he will do his part to set that in motion.

Fluid Motion;
Everything Delve says or does has a kind of gentle fluidity to it, a rhythm and smoothness. The way he speaks is often pleasing to the ear and his fluidity is most visible when he is in motion, either walking, dancing or fighting. It's most remarkable when fighting; because of the fluid nature of his movements, and his eerie smile, Delve often looks like he is enjoying the fight to no end, and he may as well be dancing at a ball.

Twisted Perception Of Pain;
One reason Delve looks so content when he fights is that even if he gets hit, it's not a big deal, because he loves the feeling. Delve seems to be most alive when fighting someone, and he relishes his own pain. Not anyone else's, mind; if a friend or ally is hurt, he will be deeply distressed over it. He has a bad habit of waiting just a little too long to bind his wounds. Not so long that he's in danger, just long enough that he has had to wash blood out of many outfits. He doesn't always manage to wash it out, so he's gone for a camouflage idea, where the clothing he's wearing is so highly patterned it can mask blood stains.

Honey-Sweet;
Delve just likes being nice. He smiles a lot, and often has a compliment for anyone he meets. He usually buries this trait under silence, though; it's not always appropriate to show himself fully. As such, it's difficult to catch Delve at it. He's very carefully guarded about his happy disposition.

Strengths━━━━━━

Fighting Stamina;
Delve has wonderful stamina, probably because of his extensive training. Delve has won fights without landing a single blow; he just keeps dodging with his fluid movements until his opponent has tired him or herself out.

Optimism;
Though not constantly optimistic, Delve really has a good sense of the fact that everything will work out if they keep fighting and moving forward and seeking out the positive aspects of life. It is, perhaps, a little strange for the sage of shadow, but it's more that it stems from his wisdom about the reality of events. Historically, there would be periods of darkness, and a hero would always rise. Delve believes that if history hasn't let them down so far, he's not about to let the future turn out poorly.

Weaknesses ━━━━━━

Escapist;
Loving harmony as much as Delve does, if he finds someone particularly unenjoyable company-wise, or particularly chaotic, he'll do everything he can to just hide from them. It's a little childish, but he's good at it; extremely good at it. He is a Shiekah, after all.

Too Much!;
Delve tends to shower people with affection, compliments, kind gestures; the affection he shows them can be somewhat suffocating. Delve has a very poor ability to tell when he is overwhelming them, despite his typical ease with reading people.

The "Balance Lists";
Delve keeps lists of almost everything, but there are two lists in particular that balance each other out in nature, slightly. One list is composed of names and any information he has on the individual, almost like a bounty hunter's guide, and everyone on that list is someone who owes him blood. Unless a name is on that list, Delve is seldom motivated to fight seriously.

-----His second list is a weakness in that he is extremely picky about relationships, to the point where he will probably never settle down. He doesn't mind casual relationships, but unless they match the characteristics on his list, he won't consider settling down with them. The use of his list kind of blinds him to the true merits of anyone he's with. The top quality on the list, which must be obeyed with no exceptions, is that Delve wishes to find a fighting partner who can fight in harmony with him. Sometimes, it seems as though if he could find that, he might just adjust all the other points to match that partner. However, it has yet to happen, so he remains stubborn and ignorant as to the gifts of individuality.

Skills ━━━━━━

Escape Artist;
Delve loves deku nuts and carries them around wherever he goes. He can vanish out of the strangest places. Sometimes, especially if he's uncomfortable in the present company, Delve will disappear as soon as people look away. He's done that in some weird situations, and will employ many skill sets in order to make his escape: prolonged underwater hiding, swift running, high jumping coupled with climbing... you name it, chances are he'll do it if it means he can escape.

Silence;
Delve can move soundlessly through most environments. He seems to have gotten himself in trouble trying to sneak out in a couple houses with creaky floors, though; his one weakness: floorboards. He hates them because for some reason he never holds himself quite right, and clearly he can't predict which floorboard will creak, so when it comes down to that he usually leaps up into the rafters and walks along the beams instead.

-----Oneiros' power enhances Delve's ability as a truth-seer, in that Oneiros focuses on the fears and dreams in someone's mind and heart. He can extract them and turn them into minor illusions, which, of course, never affect Delve. When Delve summoned Oneiros, Delve started calling him Erebos, much to his irritation. Oneiros corrects him constantly, but Delve never listens; he still calls him Bos all the time.
-----He is pretty much an older brother trapped in a little, fluffy body. Delve seldom takes him seriously, but they work as a team, and Delve does trust him. Delve was able to form a pact on the basis that Oneiros wanted to travel and manifest on that plane, while needing a partner to avoid falling into the control of someone truly dark. Oneiros, in a way, chose Delve; Delve stands just inside shadow, but has not lost sight of the light. Perfect for the Ballad of Twilight.
