The sound of tinkering and pieces of metal could be heard from the basement of the Asylum. The dingy musty smell mixed with the damp cold of the slate flooring enhancing the effect. It was dark on top of that and not many people would even bother to venture into the basement. It went silent. Not a good silent, but an eerie silent. Creeping up the steps was a male figure covered in green scales. His tail lashed idly behind him and his fangs glistened in the light from the flickering bulb above him. He didn’t look too threatening other then his fangs or his gleaming crimson eyes. He probably would scare the weak away.

Once he reached the top of the stairs, he looked down the darkening hallway not sure which way he should go. Left or right? A simple enough choice right? Not for him. He needed a reason to go in any direction. Making a swift effort to choose, he went to the right. He rarely came up from the basement, but he knew his way around above just from traveling through it once. He wasn’t stupid after all. He hadn’t met a single person on this hell hole since he got there. He assumed it was because of his scary looking features, but when he thought more in depth, he knew it was because of his anger. He had a terrible temper. Say something out of line and he would end up biting your arm off. Most say that is why he was in here. He things differently though. When he was a human, he was in a gang. Robbery and assault was more the name of the game then, but now…it got a little bloodier. His gang wasn’t there, but with this alligator appearance, he didn’t need them. He was strong enough on his own, but he didn’t like himself. Not only did he feel scary, but he also didn’t think highly of his looks. He had scales for christ’s sake!! How could he feel comfortable with that?

As he walked, thoughts brimmed his skull and what little happiness he had that day died along with them. He reached a door and silently went in. Where it led to, he didn’t know but the smell of something rotting filled his nostrils making him lips his fangs as he made his way down the hallway.

User ImageThis place never did stop with its secrets and unknowns. It was like this place was built to harbor everything within from the views of the world. Once a person entered the walls of The Asylum it was like an unspoken truth that they would never leave. The massive building was far from being fill to maximum occupancy. In fact currently one could almost wander the halls without the fear of running into another living person.

However a person did have to eat. Halfway down a long darkened corridor was the cafeteria and what could very vaguely pass as a kitchen. There was no way that this was up to code. Though if you had spent more than a day within these cozy walls you learned not to wonder what that funky smell or those moving this along the floors and cabinets were. The cafeteria was not opened twenty four hours a day. So when food was not being served it was a almost always 100% deserted. The luncheon lines had been cleaned up of their food but the pungent smell of it still remained.

From the hallway if someone were to look in threw the dirty grimy door windows there was a strange red glow emanating from one fo the dark corners of the large room. It seemed to pulsate slowly as if the light itself was breathing. IIf once squinted they could see a ghostly figure sitting at a dust covered table. The figure was hunched over a table with long ghostly black tendrils spilling over the table.

If one dared to enter the cafeteria and drew closer the figure would become more clear, a woman with dark crimson and blood colored skin sat alone. Her long hair hide her face and most of her upper body from view. But etched in her dark skin were glowing marks that looked almost like freshly craved wounds or healing scars. Her naked mid drift and back was covered with two crossing black ribbons that attached to a short mini skirt that barely covered any part of her full round hips. The pale glowing pink markings continued over her smooth hips and disappeared into midnight black boots with red tribal patters on them.
