The Cracked Cliffs
A set of cliffs that stands on the edge of the land and the swirling seas far below. The connected plains are said to be constantly storming, and chronicled decades after decades of dark clouds support that. Small, stunted trees and shrubs mar the otherwise clean landscape; their size being a product of the lightning's habit of felling the taller of the crop.
An old tale is quietly told among the eldest of the old that one spot used to bare a fantastic, ancient tree. However, the tree is long since gone, leaving only a gigantic jagged crack running down the cliff from top to bottom. Regardless, lightning continues to strike directly down the chasm, disobeying the natural order. Many electric pokemon revere the site as a holy place and many come to bathe in the lightning strikes in the hope of evolving.
Of course, the plains aren't the only part of the area. The steep cliffs are covered in thin paths that sit at no longer than a mere two feet. Caves dot the complicated paths as they rise and fall along the cliff face, allowing access to the interior. Budding branches have worked their way out of the cliff face over time, allowing a host of Chatot to live there. They often enjoy mimicking the sound of thunder to scare whatever hapless creature comes by.
The caves themselves can be small and simplistic or vast and complicated. A host of rock types live inside, content within their earthy home.
Be careful, though. It's a long way down if you slip!
