Well I've seen you once or twice And I think you're rather nice Tell me what is your name And will you come again
How far can you spit Is your voice like grit Might seem out of tune But you'll love one day soon
Here we go here we go again Here we go here we go again Here we go here we go again Here we go I just cannot pretend Here we go we're off again Here we go here we go again Here we go I just cannot pretend Here we go we're off again
Stop waisting my time Get off of my line What do you wanna ask The sun shines out of me
Well I was never wrong I wrote all the songs The same old motor runs I ain't no rolling stone . Viene could feel the a cool breeze and a strange smell, not the same as the pine, oak, and other leaves of the forest. The sun seemed to shine brightly through the trees and they began to spread out more. The ground beneath her paws was soft, less rocky, and a lighter color. Where had she traveled to? Was it the edge of the world? She ran faster as the trees spread out her paws sinking in the strange new earth. The air around her filled her with life. Then the forest stopped, the trees, the leaves on the ground were gone. In front of her she saw a great body of water. A lake? she wondered. The ground was a dull yellow and her paws sunk down. Oooo very soft, I could get used to running on this. She thought. She ran down to the water eager to jump in and take a drink. She ran faster the wind wiping through her ears, and dancing through her fur. She jumped into the cool water. It felt so nice, the forest had been extremely hot and muggy lately. She was glad for a little refreshment. She swam around and lapped the water. Slurp, bluck, cough cough, ugh what is this it tastes like salt, uuugh gross, this isn't a lake, ah where am I? She started swimming back to the shore, she must have come to the edge of the earth. She shook the water off her fur, and looked out across the vast ocean wondering what was out there.

Freed didn't take his time crossing the river, and he sure as hell didn't take his sweet time looking for the tree bridge situated more north than he was. No, he headed his a** south until he hit water, and then moved in the only direction he possibly could - Westward.
He was halfway across his pack's sister pack when he slowed himself. Am I running away? he asked himself, silently. He decided he was not running, simply stretching his legs, but it still felt as though he were running away.
It wasn't as though he had a terribly difficult job in his pack. He was the only gamma. The beta had been killed and he had done his duty, helping his alpha drag the body and dump it over the cliffs into the ocean. His duty was now to keep quiet about it. Everyone knew what had happened, but the alpha's mate, the female, she had no idea how it had gone down, and since the dead wolf had been her brother, there was simply no point in divulging that information and upsetting her.
So his duty wasn't extremely hard. He wasn't much of a talker anyway, especially not with the alphas if he wasn't first asked to talk. But it was lonely, being the only middle-class in the whole pack. The alphas were on top, and the only other adult was an omega. He wasn't really allowed to interact with her anyway. Her duty was to watch the pups, who were now teens, so her duty was just as simple as his, these days.
He spoke aloud, suddenly, realizing he was completely free of both packlands. "Am I sure I'm not running?"

Viene looked around here, this place was strange, she could make out a small river to her left and a large mountain. It broke through the eastern sky cutting it in half horizontally. She had never seen such a mountain. She was used to the closeness of the trees and the rocks, and the darkness of the forest. Here it was wide open, the sun beat down on her black fur. It felt good as it dried her wet fur, but soon enough that cool breeze went through her nostrils sending an excitement down her spine. She might as well jump back into the water again since she was here. she ran closer to the river but took a sharp turn and bounded back into the water, swimming around. It's so strange swimming here, the water is pushing me up and down, like the current of a stream, but not quite like it. She was a bit crazy in that she liked to dunk her whole head under the water, she enjoyed hearing the nothingness that surrounded her. She decided to swim alongside the shore, making her way toward the river where she could stop to get a drink.

Freed had slowed down, realizing that maybe he was running away. If he could just stop and think for a minute, he would be ok. He could turn around and go back to his pack, his home.
There was no reason to run, he was just freaking out. As he thought about his predicament, he heard splashing in the distance. "Huh?" he wondered aloud to the air, walking towards the noise he heard. His hackles rose as he approached, seeing a dark female splashing in the waters.
"Hey, you!" he yelled out over the water, standing firm on the shore. "Come here." he ordered finally.

Viene broke the surface and lifted her head to the water, she could see a wolf on the shore, she smiled and thought he was saying something to her. She swam a bit closer and caught his words. Come here? , she thought, she had never been ordered around before, but she thought it sounded urgent.
She came onto the shore and shook her fur, the sun already felt good on her coat, it was nice to be so refreshed. She stood across from the other wolf. He stood rather proudly and Viene had never seen such a handsome male. Actually she had never seen any males that she could think of, she had met two females in her recent journeys. She smiled and bowed her head,
"hello how are you on this gorgeous day, are you from around here, what is this big lake?"
She didn't expect to ask so many questions but being around another wolf always made Viene the more curious.
