This is a solo RP for the characters Misti, Kimi and Chandra. Please do not post unless invited to do so. Thanks. ----------------------------
Misti ran and ran, her heart pounding so hard that she felt her world was about to explode in a world of red darkness... blood. She dared to look behind her as her breath caught once more at the terrible sight.
She was being hunted!
It has all started when she had ventured deep into the forest to collect some apples -a though that no seemed so foolish- it was as her guard was down that she heard a cracking of a twig behind her. Startled she had turned to see a creature of wings, teeth and claws... a skinwalker!
Fear had rippled through her like an angry fire and she ran as hard and fast as her hooves would carry her.
The forest had been too thick to fly through... and so she continued to run. Her breath catching, her heart pounding...
...life she thought with a dull bleakness, was about to end for her. Poor Alpha would once again be alone.

She had been watching the stupid mare for what felt like hours before she had slipped up and revealed her location -too hungry to think she had made a mistake that had cost her her lunch. But this was not over yet, she would hunt down this delicate looking mare with huge wings, and when she was done all that would remain of her would be the delicate droplets of blood that would forever lay dry upon her pelt and skin. That was her legacy, her calling... meat, blood.... hunger.
Kimi had been denied her lunch too much lately to give up so easily, the blood hunger more than anyone could bare -and she knew that it made her reckless and near mad. She just didn't care.
This mare... WOULD BE HERS!! She flashed her teeth once more before flashing into her bird form, her bones cracked and shifted as the graceful eagle took over her spreading its wings wide with flight. In size she was huge, enough to scare away anyone horse or animal or even human... but that was not her intent now, her intent was simply to bag her prey and finally eat!
"You're mine," she hissed through claws and beak as she flew into the trees for her advantage.

That was why she was trying so hard to focus on something happier... she knew she would find Alastair again one day, and likely happy with twenty kids and a mother-in-law who drove him crazy.
That was when she heard a noise that snapped her out of her little happy land and back to reality. Turning her head she just about spotted the delicate frame of a mare that she was sure was beautiful... it wasn't until she continued to watch that it sunk in that it was Misti. Why was Misti running? Just then she saw another familar figure... Kimi, her fathers adopted sister, not that he had had much choice in the matter but still....
Not sure what to do Chandra decided to take a short cut through the forest in the slim hope that she could catch Misti up, she just hoped that her lighter wings would aid her... and hopefully Misti's heavier ones wouldn't slow her down into the claws of Kimi. Kimi wouldn't show mercy if that happened.

Misti's breath catched in her throat, she didn't know what she was doing or thinking just purely acting on instinct. And right now, instinct told her.... RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK!!!
Breath heavy.
Heart thundering in her chest.
Misti ran and ran as hard as she could.
Out of the corner of her eye she was sure she saw a black and white pelt, Maion maybe? No, she thought, pushing it aside. The black and white had been accompanied by blue.... that meant only one thing. Maion's daughter Chandra. Although she was worried about herself she couldn't bring herself to endanger another. Turning sharply she risked taking a ninty degree turn away from Chandra. It meant that Kimi would have an easier time catching up to her but she couldn't risk Chandra.... for one, Maion would kill her, if Kimi didn't get there first.
Panting now, her hooves hit the ground as hard and fast as she could managed. The only problem.... her energy was waning under the weight of her heavy wings, she was going to slow down and probably stop soon. Oh she hoped it was true.....
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
Went her heart.

Kimi watched eagerly as her prey made the mistake of turning too sharply, she was in her path now.... beating her wings faster she tried she cut the mare off.
That was of course until she saw Chandra, a near mirror image of her father.... oh how Kimi hated her brother Maion. Licking her beak she suddenly felt like taking Chandra would be a good prize for the day, that was of course until she realised that the other mare with heavy wings was the easier prey. And oh was Kimi hungry.
Hungry.
Rumble.
Hungry.
Choices.
Hungry.
MINE!!!!!!!
Kimi dived for Misti.

Chandra's heart skipped a beat when she saw Misti turning too suddenly. "NO!" She called out. Misti had just put herself into danger.
Without giving herself time to think about it Chandra stormed forward, fresh and full of energy it didn't take her long to make it to Misti's left side. Behind her she could hear the beating of wings like thunder and lightning that threatened to consume the world. Oh how she wanted to curl up in a ball next to her mother and ignore the sound. But at the moment... she needed to help Misti.
"Misti," she said, her voice slightly breathy from her excersion to catch her up. "You need to turn back, Kimi will catch you like this!" Fear pumped through her veins, what had the heavy winged mare been thinking??

Misti heard hooves catch her up and in that moment she knew she was going to die. Kimi must have switched back in an effort to catch her latest kill and enjoy it. Her stomach churned at the very idea of becoming someones dinner. Great......!
But then she caught the familar scent of flowers and moonlight. It was someone from the Miakoda heard, and when the voice came Misti felt her heart leap. Her sacrifice had been for nothing.... Chandra had joined her! FOOLISH MARE!!!
Misti wanted to shout at her but she knew that the young mare was merely trying to comfort her. "Get out of here Chandra. I was leading her away from you!" Her breath came much harder than Chandra's and she wasn't sure the mare was even able to understand her.

Kimi could hear words, but her bloodlust was too strong for her to understand any of them. All her mind could comprehend was.... rip... tear... destroy!
She carried on the chase.
Two prey.... even more fun!

Chandra couldn't believe what she was hearing, Misti had been trying to save her? But she was the daughter of the herds protector and one day likely to become the alpha herself if anything ever happened to Io or if Io never had children.
She was suppose to be able to protect those she loved, but then... she had never allowed her father or Sonnet to teach her more than the odd defensive moves that she could summon in an emergency. For Chandra, taking a life wasn't an option. She prefered being the bringer of life, working as a midwife had been far more rewarding that the destructive life she had watched overs take. She had seen her brother Mal fight, and although she loved her brother dearly part of her didn't like the darkness that lingered behind his eyes.
No, for Chandra she longed to have a happy and light filled life. So... why hadn't she picked Alistair? He was a free spirit, not a fighter but a lover.... and he had loved Chandra. In many ways she had loved him back, but her love for Sonnet was... different. Maybe she was in love with both of them after all? Sonnet was the opposite to Alistair, he had trained to fight and spoiled Chandra at every opportunity... but unlike Alistair he was more nervous and shy. She liked the challenge of him.
Yet, Chandra couldn't bring herself to forgive her actions.... Alistair had cried, his eyes so full of hurt that it stuck her that he had been certain she would pick him over Sonnet. As she looked at him she had wanted to change her mind... but that would have left her in the same situation. She couldn't have them both no matter how much she longed for it to be true.
Returning her thoughts back to reality Chandra looked at Misti and spoke softly, "too late, she is coming after us both now. Head for the river." Heading for the river was risky. The flow of water would slow them down and make their fur heavy and clingy... but Kimi was afraid of water, or so Chandra thought. Plus if they followed the river they would eventually come to the lake. Kimi wouldn't follow them there... would she?

Misti was growing tired, she knew she wouldn't last much longer but didn't want to let the young mare down. So using the last of her strength she made her way to the river.
It didn't take too long to get there, and the thunderous roll of the water was almost too loud for her to bear. Everything was sensative and she just wanted to lie down.
"What - now?" She said in a thickly breathy voice laced with her exhaustion. To her suprise Chandra didn't stop but instead lunged herself into the water before battling herself upright and traveling with the river.
Crazy mare.
She knew that Chandra wanted her to join her in the water, but Misti felt too weak and was sure she couldn't keep her head above the water.

Kimi reached the mare with the large wings that she had been wearing out for a while, she was alone now... the other, Maions daughter, most likely in the river and carried away. Good, they were alone. Kimi liked to be alone with her prey, liked to play with it and taste its fear before she ripped out their throat and drunk her fill of their blood.
Licking her hawk forms beak she shifted back slowly, the pelt of her animal now drapped over her horse body, heavy and comfortable. A constant reminder of what she was. "You're mine... my pretty!" She clucked, her voice still having an air of hawk like quality to it. Yes, she was one with her inner beast and Kimi liked it!
Clucking her jaw she hissed and lunged forward.
1- Claws sink into Mistis shoulder allowing Kimi access to bite her.
2- Misti evades her at the last minute forcing Kimi to crash into the ground and hit her head on a rock.
3- Kimis teeth sink into the mares leg but she wiggles free.
4- Kimi manages to pin the mare.
5- Misti kicks Kimi in the stomach mid lunge throwing her backwards and winding her.
6- Kimi's attack misses and she ends up in the river.

Chandra stuggled in the water, she needed to get out and back to Misti before something happened. It took all her remaining strength but after struggling for what felt like forever she finally manged to get to the shore. Her body tired and exhausted as is collapsed against her will on the ground.
It took all her will power to pull herself up, "Do it for Misti" she mumbled to herself, yes, she had to remember WHY she had to do this, it was nothing to do with herself but her herdmate, someone she would never risk losing.
Stumbling and exhuastion clearly written on her face and body Chandra stumbled forward in an effort to reach Misti, she prayed she would not be too late.

Misti had eyed the water until she felt sick to her stomach, she couldn't survive that way.... she just knew it.
That was all she thought of as she heard a sound that nearly stopped her heart. A screach and a wail.... the skinwalker had caught them up. Panic overrode common sences as she simple stared at the beast in fear.
Too late she considered moving when she saw a blurr followed swiftly by a sharp pain in her shoulder, pain and the heavy lingering scent of blood lingering in the air.
Acting on pure instinct she shook her whole body with as much forced as she could muster before finally flinging the beast off her. Again fear and instinct took over as she started to run next to the river, if she had to she would jump in...... please don't make her have to! She really didn't think she could fight the water, yet even that was better than her being lunch!

Kimi hissed and screamed as she flung to the ground like a rag doll. She was really starting to hate being treated like trash.... she deserved to live! She deserved to survive... and she would take her due payment from the flesh of this arrogant mare!!
Hissing and growling she pulled herself up off the ground and started to run after the mare.
Today was her day! She would deliver a blow to the Miakoda herd so strong that no one would ever dare deny her power again!

Chandra raced towards the spot she had last seen Misti.... please let her get there in time!
Heart racing, panic threatening to consume her. She would let it so later, right now she had a task.
