Brass left his house determined to find peace, anything that took him far from home, he couldn't stay there while his father mumbled politics and business all over the house, as if it was the cruel end of the society as we know. He drove down the lane all the way to the commercial part of the city. It was filled with all the traditional stores of Destiny City, from bookstores to cafés.
He could’ve his a bar nearby, but it was too early to drink and that’s not what he was looking for today. He wanted a pleasant afternoon, especially a quiet one. One thing that could drive Brass insane was his father shouting with that Viking voice of his on and on.
He spotted a nice little café down the street. It seemed peaceful enough, with only a small amount of customers quietly sipping their beverages. He parked his bike close by, took his helmet off and shook his head to straighten the hair. It was a sunny day, a little warmer than usual, so it was a relief to take of the helmet and feel the breeze stroking his face. He then stood up, unzipped the jacket, taking it off, and threw it over his right shoulder. He was wearing a white dress shirt with some buttons left open, showing a silver necklace and locket around his neck. The well-polished silver occasionally reflected the bright daylight.
He juggled his keys before putting them away in his pocket, leaving the keychain hanging from it. It had the shape of a wolf made from the same silver of the locket. He pulled a chair, placed his jacket over the table and took the menu to decide what he was going to order. The mocaccino was the best option and so he asked the waitress if she could bring some.
