Personality: Arachne likes to project an air of mystery, either she can be found looking in what she perceives is a mystical manner into the crystal ball that's been passed down through the generations or messing around with divination sticks or cards.
Most of it is an act, which she's yet to give up as she's managed to flub her way through readings for her acquiantances. She kind of wants to be actually good at the whole divination stuff but that would mean she would have to admit she isn't as good as she pretends to be, which would require revealing a weakness to the world in general and she'll never (or rarely) do that.
Obviously that means she often comes across as arrogant (well she is a demon XD) but if she ever made a solid friend that she could trust not to betray her confidence they would see beyond the front.
She is loved by spiders, her room is covered in webs as they like to weave them for her to show their affection and she will go straight to hate for anyone that hurts, or threatens to hurt a spider in her presence. This means she does have a slight bird phobia as well.
Why did they enroll at the academy? Arachne was actually enrolled into the Academy by her Grandmother who had come to realise that their newest generation has been quite tricky and has neither been doing her studies nor practicing her gifts as she should be. Whilst a certain amount of trickery is appreciated (especially as their divining powers are tied into favour giving), Arachne's grandmother doesn't tolerate sloppy usage of their demonic abilities, and knows that her granddaughter could be very powerful if she only applied herself!
Fear: Future paralysis/fear of future events - Arachne shows her opponent a frightening vision of a future event (something completely made up that is geared towards an individual - eg: a vampire being unable to ingest blood or something XD )
A RNG/die would be used to determine if the vision was believable & caused any sort of fearful reaction
Natural Ability: Seer - ability to see visions of the future, usually when in trade for favours. Currently hers is very poor and when it does work she can see not much further forward than an hour or so
