Ok I decided to put this here because I kind of want some serious opinions on it but pretty much what Ima asking is whats your opinion on the human limit.

by that Im asking is how far do you think the human body can go?
what do you think we can and cant do?
why?

I had a really long arguement earlier about Humans and limits and apes and stuff earlier . I went into a bit of detail explaining that man and ape are quite similar and that some people have been able to match apes physically...

Idk about physically but mentally its said to be limitless.

physically speaking, "man" can improve his body and push as far as it'll let him, naturally you could take something to ease the pain n' keep going even if its past your limit. That goes without sayin' a "man" could also push himself to the point he'll pass out without such methods. You'll know your limits once you get to them, room for improvement is almost always there, i believe

Ex.

Last night I was playing a word game on Starcraft 2, in the loading times I'll do at least ten push-ups before its loaded, everytime no matter how tired i got, naturally it got harder as i wore out, too the point where i couldn't push even once sweatdrop that may not count as I was also mentally wore out too eek plus i needed to sleep as well (lol, still sore)

Physically the human body has set limits. That's proven. There is only so far you can push your muscles before you damage them.

Mentally the human spirit is indomitable and unstoppable

I'm more aware of my physical limits than the average person, doesn't really bother me though. So what if I can't run the Boston Marathon? As long as my legs work, I'm happy.

the physical side is what confuses me soo much,

Many people say we all have a limit and so on..
but then after looking into it in more depth, lots of people have ways to extend or go beyond their limits or the limit that the average human being expectedly would not be able to go past.

I also had to listen to long lecture about humans+apes
differences and similarities (I actually have this on CD)

Because Kammy humans so have limits. You can't lift a house, you can't jump over a house, muscles tear if you push them too much. It's life. Yes, people have exceeded "limits" but certain limits aren't going to be exceeded by people who you know, haven't got mechanical arms and legs

It's not that people have gone beyond their limits, it's simply that we don't properly understand where the limits lie.

The human body is an immensely complex mechanical creature.

Well it depends what perspective you're coming from. Do you mean human limits as in how long can we go without sleep and proper rest, or how long we can go on with stress before we explode?

I believe we all have our limits - which is an obvious idea xD Everything has its own limits. Work something too hard, they eventually go out and stop.

We can do anything we put our minds to. I'm an optimistic person, and I never say never to anything. Think about it, did people think electricity was possible? Did people think one day we'd have TV or internet? People have gone to the moon, that's exceeding limits.

Limits are limits, it's up to you whether you want to go past it. There may be consequences or there may be benefits.

And about the human and ape thing - there's a study that actually proves that apes/monkeys are not our ancestors.

Naturally not, as they'd have evolved also. It would have been an ancestor that was the precursor to our monkeys.

Anyway, link?

Human beings can indeed exceed their natural limits. They can either, improve their physical capabilities through training, chemicals or some use of mental power.

With regards to that, through technique, humans can surpass animals in any physical aspect. However, it is not how they are born. The potential of humans is what marks them as superior. Much of it is related to the mind and conditioning. The "Ice Man" for example does not require a thick coat of fur. He, as a human can defy the cold by using his mind and techniques. Thusly, evolution is void in that regard. His body is the same as any others after all.
