Gender: Female
Appearance: Long white hair that falls to her feet, with a few braided strands and some of it pulled back into a loose knot. Her hair is adorned by a single black rose, tucked behind her right ear. She has milky blue eyes which seem almost white. Her pointed ears can barely be seen with her hair. Her skin is also very pale, giving her a ghostly appearance. Pale blue markings cover her skin, curling and swirling around her body, never seeming to have a beginning nor an end. Her markings glow dimly, make her seem more ethereal. Her horns are obsidian, a sharp contrast to her overall appearance.
Clothing wise, Lilyane always has a white hooded cape on, no matter where she is. Whether the hood is up or not is another matter. The cape is fastend by an obsidian pin. Under the cape she wears a white dress which brushes the ground. The skirt flares slightly at the waist and more at the hem. The upper part is similar to a corset, with the strings tied behind. Her shoulders are bare, but her arms are covered by gauzy bell sleeves that are fairly transparent, starting from the middle of her upper arm and ending around her wrist area. They are bound with white ribbons.
Aside from the black rose in her hair and the obsidian fastener on her cape, Lilyane wears no jewellery, save for a black crystal pendant.

♦ Solitary ♦
Above all else, Lilyane is a very solitary person. Even as a child, she preferred to be alone, often talking long walks in the woods where no one could bother her. As an adult, she is a recluse, an oddity in society. Aside for those who come to see her for treatment, she has very little interaction with others of her kind. She is very uncomfortable with others around her, often retreating into the deep woods for solitude. While she may tend to those who need it, she does not tolerate them for long unless they are at death's door.
♦ Cold ♦
Though not cruel like most of her counterparts, Lilyane is still very distant and rarely shares anything about herself. She is cold and prefers silence over the noise and pointless small talk. Some wonder if she actually feels any emotion, as her heart seems to be frozen and dead. They also wonder if she actually has a heart to feel emotion with. Should you wish to have a decent conversation with Lilyane, be sure to know your plants or have a passion for them.
♦ Sharp ♦
Silent, solitary and sharp. Lilyane notices almost everything that goes on save for that she chooses to ignore. She will know if you have something new in your wardrobe, or perhaps even what you ate. Behind the silent exterior, she has a very intelligent mind which she uses to her best capacity, occupying herself with various experiments of herbs. She is grasps situations very quickly and has her own opinions, even if she doesn't voice them out.
♦ Secretive ♦
Due to her rare appearances and history, Lilyane is a very mysterious figure in the village. Her mostly white appearance lends to her seeming ghostliness, shrouding her in more mystery. As a child, she mysteriously disappeared for a few months, and returned bloody and ragged, her face gaunt her her eyes full of unspeakable horrors. Many wonder what had happened to her because she became even more reclusive and flinched whenever someone touched her. She had changed from the somewhat content and happy child into a terrified one, her eyes large and frightened.
♦ Cynical ♦
Jaded, pessimistic, cynical, world-weary, call her what you will, but Lilyane is a skeptic about things. Tell her something, she will question you or ask you to explain further. She doesn't trust nor believe anyone or anything, having lost her confidence in people a long time ago. She prefers not to expect anything, so she can avoid the hurt and disappointment that comes from having something or someone fall short of her expectations.

History || Backstory:
Lilyane was a very placid, comfortable child. Unfortunately, one day she disappeared. No one knows where or why she disappeared. For months, she was missing, worrying her parents and the village elders. One day, she stumbled out of the woods, half-dead from exhaustion, her body bloody and bruised. She was unconscious for several days afterward, teteering at the brink of death. When she recovered, she didn't answer when asked what happened, and she rarely spoke since then. She spent increasing amount of time alone, shying away from interaction and people, save for the old oni hermit she met in the woods one day. He taught her how to use herbs, whether to heal or to harm. She learned quickly and began experimenting on her own, soon earning a reputation amongst her people as a herbalist. Since then, she has become the village healer and often sought for other herbs and potions.
A few years ago, she fell in love with one of the village boys. But that winter when he left, he never returned. Rumors went around, saying that he had left to serve the as a soldier. She was heartbroken for a while, hurt that he had not said goodbye nor told her about his decision. Lilyane then began to withdraw into herself even more, earning herself a reputation as a recluse. To this day, she still remains a part of the society, and yet detached from it.
[[Side note: Well, basically the day she got captured, she was taken away and was supposed to be sacrificed, but she escaped. I'm working on it. x3]]

Just two things I noticed right away between homework!
I don't see her being shrouded in mysterious as a trait so much as a product of her other qualities. Maybe something like secretive would be better fitting as a personality trait? smile It's still similar, but it stems more from her than from how the others see her.
I'd like to know a little bit more about the backstory, especially about what happened to her when she vanished. Just because no one knows ICly, doesn't mean we can't know OOCly, and it might help to explain why she changed so much.

just a little teensy drive-by crit;
all of her traits are very secretive and "negative" (being cold is considered negative, though many are)
maybe add some positive things, or things she likes?
its hard to rp with the cold silent characters if you theres nothing you can do to crack them open, you know ? o v o
just as an example, one of my characters named hyorin is really cold and loner-ish, but she had a love of small fuzzy animals c:
