Steptember 1983, 9:00pm Saturday
It was a calm night....or so the people who remember it say. But not for long as a dark figure came strolling down the street. He was tall, dark and handsome with a long black cloak and eyes that seemed deeper than the deepest black, common traits of a Demon. This demon’s name was Edgar Itzumi and he was on a mission from Satan himself. Recently there have been several killings, all of them demons, and Satan has finally found the culprit: A family of angels living on earth.

Now Edgar wasn’t one to fail his missions and he intended to kill off these angels and have revenge for his fallen comrades. As he approached the house he suppressed his powers so that the street lamps didn’t explode as he walked past. Edgar was a man of his word and he had promised Satan that he would make a show of these killings. Smiling pleasantly to himself Edgar released his powers causing the streetlamps to explode and the house to catch on fire and the street to cause an uproar as people came running from the house. Edgar smiled, now was his chance. He ran forwards with inhuman speed and slashed away at the eldest male causing a woman to scream
‘My husband!’

Edgar killed her next then moved on to the children. He killed the youngest first as they came out they went to slash at the last angel who came out, but his hand could move no further. He had seen her face and could not kill her now. She was standing there like as if she was standing in front of a beam of light, throwing her beautiful features into view. She had brown locks of hair that fell elgantly over her face and deep set blue eyes that seemed to peirce your soul. He could not kill her, he seemed frozen, as he stared at her. She stared back in disblief. Why hadn't he killed her yet? The answer he couldn't.

'Why kill them if you cannot kill me?' She asked her voice shaking
'I've never seen such a beautiful face before' he replied 'What is your name?'
'Anntoina Emartera' she said staring at him. Even scared, Edgar could not take his eyes off her and she could not pull her gaze away from him.

This was the first meeting of Edgar Itzumi and Anntoina Emartera

January 1984, 7:00pm Wednesday
Anntonia was sitting lazily in her room half asleep. After her family was killed but the demon (She never caught his name) she was forced to move back and live with her grandmother, who was strict, but also kind and gentle. But she could not forget those eyes that held her gaze until he was forced to flee. She had never longed to see anyone like this, the nameless demon was all she could think about. It was a sin really for an Angel to fall in love with a Demon but Anntonia didn't care, she knew she loved him and wished to be with him.

A sound at her window cause Anntonia to sit up and cry
'Who's there?' but no-one answered. Anntonia sighed, she was getting paranoid and needed to calm down. She could here the stairs creaking as her grandmother knocked on her door and said sharply
'Anntonia dear it's time for the Masquerade dance, get dress and we can leave'
Anntonia sighed and called back
'Give me a minute Gandmother'

Never could be she be less interesting in this ball but she got ready all the same and left her room. As she walked down stairs her grandmother exclaimed
'Dear for a moment there I thought you were your mother, you look so much like my dear daughter, Anntonia'
Annotina smiled then walked out the door following her grandmother.

As they pulled into the parking lot Anntonia caught a glance of three men in black coats walking in the door and one of them looked strikingly familliar. Anntonia got out first then held the door open for her grandmother who half stumbled out in her old age. As they walked in the door, Anntonia's eyes and ears were met with bright colours, loud music and dancing couples. She smiled as a man walked up to her and asked her to dance. She took his arm and was sweapt away only just pulling her mask down in time.

She was half being flung around by this strange man until she finally did go flying from his arms. Strong hands caught her before she could hit the ground. She looked up her savior and gasped. He seemed shocked too. It was the demon who killed her family. He put Anntonia back on her feet and held out his arm, as if asking for a dance. Rather than getting flung around again she took it and let him lead her into the middle of the dance floor. A slow song had just started as they twirled.

Anntonia hadn't though a demon could be such a good dancer but maybe she was underestimating them, because she couldn't stop smiling.
'My, My, you dance well' she said as he spun her around.
'Just because of what I am doesn't mean I can't dance' he replied pulling her close. He smiled looking at her.
'You never called after our last date' she teased lightly 'And I never heard your name either'
'Edgar, Edgar Itzumi' he said
Anntonia smiled then closed her eyes and kissed him wrapping her arms around his neck pulling him close. He wrapped his arms around her holding her close.

July 1984, 12:00pm Friday
Edgar snuck quietly through the gardens outside Anntonia's house. He was going to sneak out with her they were going to the beach down the road, to be alone. Away from his responsibility and her grandmother. He climbed over the wall and hid at the base of the tree below her window. She watched as the lights from the t.v flickered, the old geezer was still up. He quietly started climbing the tree reaching the branch that was the same hight as the second story as the window was flung open and Anntonia climbed out.

She smiled at him grabbed the branch above herself and gently made her way over to him. He grabbed her carring her in his arms as he leapt lightly from the tree landing behind some bushes. He put her down and took her hand. They walked out from the garden and down to the pier. Anntonia sighed as she watched the waves roll in and out. Edgar looked at her confused.
'Grandmother won't be happy if she catchs me wandering around with a demon, especially the one who killed my family'
'Hmm yeah, I thought you'd hate me for that' he said looking out to the ocean
'They aren't my real family anyway, I found out I was adopted but I look alot like my so called mother'

Edgar wrapped his arms around her.
'We don't have to worry about that' He said hugging her close.
'I know' she said hugging him back.

December 1989, 5:00pm Monday
Anntoina was pacing up and down her room, biting her bottom lip. Today was the promised day, he'd promised to come and take her away and let them rasie a family together, no laws just them together. But she was worried about leaving her grandmother who had fallen ill recently and could barely move. She didn't want to go to the hospital the stubborn old woman.

Anntoina heard a knock on her window and jumped half a foot in the air. She could hear him laughing silently as she turned and opened the window for him. 6 years they had been sercetly seeing each-other and yet she still could get enough of seeing him.
'Edgar, I don't think we can leave yet' she said getting the worst over with first and biting her lip, it was a habit.

'The old geezers fallen ill hasn't she?' he asked hitting the nail on the head.
'Yes only this time she's very ill, she might even pass away soon'
'So you want to stay untill she either dies or gets better eh?' Edgar asked smiling. She'd been put through enough torture by his hand and he didn't want to cause her anymore harm. She nodded and he climbed back down the tree.
'I promise you I'll come for you when she finally passes away' he declared before turning and walking away.

August 1990, 3:00pm Thursday
Edgar was standing in the procession waiting to pay his resects to Anntonia's grandmother, who passed away a few days ago. As he reached the front Anntonia looked up at him and walked over to him. He put his arm around her and placed a rose on the coffin. He sighed then moved off to the side with his arm still around Anntonia. She was crying and shaking at the same time and Edgar was at a loss for what to do. He simply hugged her close and said quietly
'May she rest in peace'

Anntonia nodded then pushed herself out of his arms and started directing the guests to the reception room. It was a sad buisness really, but not really knowing her Edgar felt like an outcast. He was only here for Anntoina's sake, because he knew she cared for a grandmother a lot. He started following the rest of the guests into the reception room wondering what to say to the old granny talking away to him, asking his name and how he knew Anntonia's grandmother.

February 1991, 4:00pm Tuesday
Anntonia was packing all her things out of her grandmothers house. Today she was Edgar was taking her away for it to be just the two of them. She had no idea how he was getting here, or where his house was. Not in all the years had she known him did he mention where his house was.
'Oh well' she thought throwing in all sorts of odd and ends 'I get to find out today'

She pulled her case downstairs to find him sitting in her living room.
'Edgar, your here already?' she looked at the clock and realised she was late, he was right on time as usual. He smiled and got up. He walked over and grabbed her case lifting it easily when Anntonia had been struggling.
'Come on' he said smiling as he walked out the front door and down to the car parked at the end of the driveway.

Anntonia took one last look at the hallways and smiled. She then turned and walked from the house for the last time.

April 1994, 6:00am Sunday
Edgar was trying to pay attention to the road as he drove but the noise in the backseat was ear splitting.
'God does it ever shut up?' he asked as he turned into their driveway.
'She's just hungry' Anntonia said getting out and pulling a baby Kira from the back seat 'She's only a few days old remember'
'Yeah, yeah' Edgar said leaning against the car door sighing.

Edgar led the way inside the house as Kira finally silenced down.
'Oh maybe she just doesn't like the car' Annotina said placing Kira down on the couch while she sunk into the nearest chair. Edgar sighed but smiled
'Now the we've started a family, 6 years ago i though you were just going to be a phase but look at us now'
'Happy and alive' she said smiling back.

October 1997, 6:00pm Tuesday
Kira was sitting alone in her room, playing with her stuffed animals frowning slightly. She had a bad headache and these images kept flashing across her mind. being a three-year-old she didn't understand them much but she was a clever three-year-old. There was an image of her uncle standing in her door, one of a crashed-car, and one of her parents on the floor dead. She was slowly pieceing things together.

Kira looked up as the door creaked open and her uncle stood there looking at her with sad eyes. She put her head on the side wondering what was wrong.
'Unkle' she said pointing at him.
'Kira I have something to tell you' he said gravly walking in and sitting down in front of her.
'Is it about mummy and daddy?' she asked 'Their not coming back are they?'

Her uncle looked shocked but nodded.
'Satan killed them, for their unlawful marriage and the fact that your father didn't kill her when he first met her or all the while he knew her'
Kira started crying. Sobbing, she didn't want to think about it. Her uncle pulled her close and hugged her and shushed her silently. Kira sniffed and continued sobbing crying out
"Mummy! Daddy! Don't leave!'

March 2002,
Kira was standing at the front gate of the primary school watching the other students run past looking happy. Not only did she have to start a new school after being kicked out of her last one for fighting she had to start half way through the first term. Her uncle was standing next to her looking for the office. He stopped on of the running kids and asked
'Could you tell me were to find the office please?'

The boy looked slightly shocked but pointed over at one of the old looking buildings. Kira wasn't surprised they must look like something from a gravyard. Kira had thick black hair that hung over her face and her Uncle didn't look anybetter with his black hair sitting in a disarry.
'Ok come on Kira' he said taking her hand and dragging her over to the office

Kira didn't speak the whole time she was interrogated by the princable. Her uncle did all the talking.
'Does she even speak, or is she a mute?' the lady asked rudly and Kira finally snapped
'I'm not a mute you stubbon old mule!' she said loudly before storming out.
'Kira' he uncle said sighing 'I'm sorry, she hasn't spoken much every since her parents died'
'Then your not her father?'
'Good heavens no, I'm her uncle. She gets it from her father who was my brother'

Kia was sitting outside the door listing to them talk about her reay to break into tears. Why could no-one leave her alone!
