This year's event is called 'Ghouls of the Goblin'. The primary information is listed below in size 9 font and bolded. Below that is other information such as;
~Open character roles (crew/potential crew only)
~Portal location.
~Holiday quests and such.
~Teacher absences.
~Meeting places for the three sides.
The event begins October 1st (today) as soon as the information is posted. The event ends on October 31st at 8:00pm. All students and faculty and other are allowed to participate. Around the 15th the war will change... bwhahahaha.... Students who participate in the event (in anyway) will automatically receive: 25+ credits, 50 guild gold, and other items.
It is a well known fact that beneath the earth’s surface is a thin layer of magic, this magic is the lock and magic is the key. When this lock is open, the land of the Goblin king, Alhowl, is freed and a portal is created. But as many things so are, the land is dangerous: this is exactly why it was locked in the first place. Today, October 1st 2010, at exactly 12:00, the portal was opened by this: Patricia Whitish.
May Alhowl have mercy on us all in these weeks to come....
The portal will only grow in size, and many a creature will come forth from it. Will you be the brave soul to help the teachers, few in number though grand in strength, fend away the coming wave? Or will you flee, run in terror? Join up with the beasts? The road is yours to take, and Patricia’s to make.

Alliances and Meeting locations:
~Ghouls and such; eastern forest located on the school grounds. (receive various weapons and pendants and creatures)
~School defenders; infirmary or headmistresses office. (receive various weapons, pendants, and creatures)
~Runners; Church/Temple/Whatever. (receive various spells, summonings and powers and weapons)
Portal location; eastern forest, spreading to grounds.
Common creatures to be seen/summoned:
~Goblins.
~Wraiths (night only)
~Shifters.
~Vampires (traditional, night only)
~Imps.
~Minor demons.
~Other races, less common.
Quests:
~Carve pumpkins for AJ and Hans. (receive a small pendant of choice)
~Kill zombies with Hans. (receive undead wolf pup)
~Defend Franz' tower. (receive vial of blood, partial horn)
~Hunt with Abigail. (receive runes and/or wyvern skin)
As always, quests can be taken up in the side-quests thread. More quests to come.
Minor events:
~Halloween dance at the night club from October 22-25. (10 credits)
~Seance with Wren at the Church zone from October 4th-10th (15 credits)
~Trick-Or-Treat in town from 26th-31st. (candy and 5 credits)
~Pumpkin picking and carving with Ninotchka from 5th-10th. (2 credits)

Accidentally opened portal to the Goblin lands, disappeared on the campus and hasn't been seen since. 
Ulf;
Age: Unknown.
Gender: male.
Puppet of Demonic nature.
Ulf is a puppet of demonic nature, he's said to be controlling the creatures wandering the campus and is thought to be at once--both puppet and lycan though that is only a rumor. He has no soul. 
Wren;
Age: 48.
Gender: female.
White Witch.
Wren is one of the most powerful witches in the area, but she's also one of the weakest due to her horrible health and phobias. She's migrated to the church area to care for the students running from the fray and intends to teach them and kill a few zombies while she's at it. 
Alhowl;
Age: unknown.
Gender: male.
Goblin King.
Alhowl is currently not involved directly.

Sweetness! This looks waaay better then the summer event! I can't wait to join up and kick some goblin butt! I would ask to play a character, but I don't feel like it this time. Please make more minievents. Please?

Patricia and Alhowl can wait.
Students and crew will receive (at least some) credits (if not more rewards) for playing event characters. This may include the student being able to keep and play as that character in the school at any time as a special circumstance second character--if that character survives the plot line. If not, items are rewarded. All optional.
Also, rewards for each 'team' are as follows at this time:
(goblins) Attack: flying lizard, spear of the damned, chain mail, blood sword, minor attack magics, dark/demonic pendants.
(school) Defend: light shield, light/protective pendants, minor attack magics, manipulative goo creature, holy dagger.
(people hiding at church) Runners: summoning magics, minor attack magic, minor healing magic, minor defensive magics.
