Officially, Patrick Carpentier (2nd in the ROTY points to Danica Patrick) signed a deal with A1GP's Team Canada to replace Sean McIntosh in the primary seat for both the Mexico race in the end of February, and the Laguna Seca USA race in March. Carpentier has won at the Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway many times in Champ Car, and if A1GP sparks his interest, Carpentier will hunt for a Champ Car ride again.

I think he misses Road America, and now that Champ Car got it back, he wants in again!
