"Don't wanna," Tarot cried, almost panicking. Sev had had to pick the little girl up and carry her, since she had refused to keep moving forward.
"Come on, Tarot," he encouraged, aware of all the curious looks he was getting from passersby and hoping no one thought he was kidnapping her or something.
"Noooo!" was the only wailing response he recieved. Sev sighed. It had seemed like such a good idea at the start, bringing Tarot to a skate park. They had an indoor floor for skaters or bladers, and outdoor they had a whole setup of rails, ramps and bowls among other obsticles for boarders, bikers, or the more daring.
They finally arrived and, after another furious tantrum, were both equipped with roller skates from the rental booth. "Come on now, it's easy," Sev said, taking Tarot's hand and leading her onto the treacherous wooden floor. "I won't let you fall."
Tarot whimpered and clung to Sev's hand so hard it was starting to turn white. She was a creature of books and brains, not muscles. She firmly preferred her feet remain on solid ground, with nothing but shoes separating skin from terra firma.

Yorozu had gotten go-ahead from Adam to go be free and do whatever he wanted instead of sitting around and stocking shelves with more and more manga and comic books. The skatepark seemed interesting and fun and he even rented a pair of skates to putter around on and he was currently managing pretty well in the little rink with the other people as he hummed a small song to himself uttering the occasional, "Hamaguri bommbaah~," uttered out from his lips despite whatever song was actually playing on the stereo that the park had going.
However after skating past a father and daughter pair a few times he came to a stop and placed his hands on his hips and stared quietly before he rolled a bit closer, "Hey, uh...Can I help ya with somethin'?"
If this dude was a pervert trying to take advantage of a little girl the pre-teen would introduce them to his fist, simple as that.

Sev looked up to see who had come over to chat. The raised eyebrow was instant. A kid who didn't even appear to be in his teens yet, with a shaved head, tattoos, and piercings. What were parents thinking nowadays, letting their children go about like that?!
He opened his mouth to tell the stranger they were fine, when Tarot interrupted. "Sev, I don' wanna skate! Not fun!" They hadn't even made it halfway around the ring before Tarot had decided she had enough, and now a window of opportunity had opened.
While Sev was distracted by the big kid she pulled her hand free and tried to shuffle away. Her plan was to make it off the slippery floor so she could take off the death machines strapped to her feet, and then find a good place to hide until Sev decided they could go home.
Which was great, in theory. But gravity decided it wasn't too hot on the plan, and gave Tarot a nudge after she made it only two feet away.

If only the man knew that the tattoos were markings and that hair would never come to grace his bald scalp then perhaps he wouldn't be so judgmental about the young boy's appearance but alas it didn't matter to Yorozu he just saw a small child having issues and who he hoped to be a parent that could use some help, so really everyone was judging everyone this evening. The halo of small orange orbs spun about the preteens head as he kept himself in place with some effort and he grinned happily before his eyes settled on the small girl.
"Aww, but it can be fun if you let it," he told her trying to be encouraging, "right now you're just learnin' how so it's not that fun cause you're slidin' about like crazy."
It was true it was never fun when you always fell over. Yorozu watched her and as dutifully as a 'big brother' he drifted after her to make sure she wouldn't get hurt for the moment ignoring the older gentleman. There was a small girl with wheels on her feet, she held top priority. "Hey, go around two times with me and if you don't like it, I'll get ya some ice cream or somethin'," Yorozu offered as a peace offering.

"Gonna fall," Tarot protested, though as tightly as she was clinging to the boy's pant leg it wouldn't have been surprising if the cloth imprint on her hands became permanent. It was just something she'd simply caught ahold of as she cartwheeled in her attempt to find something, anything solid.
Severus was watching the two with minor suspcion. Thus far all Tarot's friends were girls, and there was that one boy her age they'd met in the aquarium. This was different, this was a teenager. If he tried anything fishy then Sev would show that he was no lightweight!

"I'll catch ya~," he offered happily, "can't be scared of fallin' gotta get yourself back up and fight!" Yorozu said encouragingly trying to give the girl a little of the fighting spirit that was needed to show Gravity that it would not be able to control her forever. Gotta be a master of your own destiny after all!
He didn't really seem to mind being watched as he moved to offer the small girl his hand, "C'mon just two times then we can say you tried it for reals then we'll tell yer dad that you deserve an awesome treat," Yorozu pointed out with a grin. If she wasn't going to take the ice cream bait maybe turning it around on the ever vigilant father would do the trick!

Tarot stared at the offered hand. Slowly she unclenched the fingers of her right hand, left hand tightening on her support. The boy's hand was too big for her to grab entirely, so she ended up holding onto his index, middle, and ring finger.
As soon as Tarot had a firm grip her other hand darted up to the new stability point. The only reason she was agreeing to this was cause she knew, with two people rallying for her to try, she would be able to get away without giving it a shot.
"I don't know how to start," she protested, looking down at her legs and wondering how one was actually supposed to go anywhere this these things on.

The preteen let her grab a hold of her hand however she saw fit. Yorozu didn't seem bothered by the small girl's negativity about the whole event as he continued to more forward a bit, "The trick is not to make your legs move too wide, just lift them up a bit and push yourself along," he nodded down to his feet as he showed how they moved sometimes pushing along sometimes staying still, it was a fine balance. "Don't wanna move your legs too much or you go too fast or somethin' before you're ready."
Next he decided to address her posture and the way she was so tense, "Gotta relax too. If you're all tense and stuff then you'll fall for real and we don't want that. Just go easy, I tol' ya I'll catch ya so don't worry about fallin'. Yorozu keeps his promises!"

Up until that point Tarot had been letting the boy pull her along. It was true, she could have beat a board in a stiffness competition. Relaxing would be easier said than done.
By the time they had made one full lap around the rink Tarot had managed to relax her legs just a bit. Sev had been following along behind them at a distance, so he wasn't crowding them but he wasn't letting his girl out of his sight.
Tarot tried lifting a leg and pushing herself along so that the boy didn't have to keep pulling her. She promptly overbalanced and stayed upright only because she was holding onto the boy's hand.
She stiffened again. To distract herself she asked, "What's a Yorozu?"

He kept going along with her and didn't feel the need to encourage her because she had slowly begun to relax up until she messed up her balance and would have fell if it wasn't for him holding onto her (or the other way around). "Oop, careful! Don't put too much weight in it," he offered small advice and aimed to keep her going with a bit of encouragement.
At her question he laughed a bit, "A Yorozu is me!" he replied happily ending the mystery for her.

Tarot had just begun to relax her legs again. She was trying very hard to relax her shoulders, which seemed to be a key part in keeping balance, but found it was impossible when both hands were clutching at Yorozu.
Slowly, and reluctantly, she freed one of her hands. She wobbled a bit, and the free hand flew out to the side to correct her balance.
As absorbed as she was in trying to stay upright, Tarot didn't notice they'd already completed the second lap.

Yorozu grinned triumphantly as she let go of him on her own and started to go on her own (or trying to), in his mind she looked like a little bird trying to fly out of a nest or something like it. He stayed nearby in case she needed someone to catch her - as promised earlier. He continued to watch her and uttered a small encouragement, "You're gettin' it!" to help her gain confidence and start taking braver steps into the world of skating.
Of course he didn't bother to point out that they were currently on their third lap, that might make her quit abruptly and any progress made would have been lost all together due to that. So instead when she didn't declare that they were done now he let her keep going, "Lookit you go, girlie~."

"'M not a girlie, 'm a Tarot," she responded. The victory of being able to stay upright didn't last for long. To be more precise, it ended as soon as they came up to their first turn. Yorozu turned, she went straight. Being under her own power as she was, and having relinquished most of her hold on Yorozu's hand, her momentum freed her and sent her straight towards one of the padded walls. If she remained on her feet until she got there, that was.

He was going to say something about her being a sassy Tarot when she was scooting along a little ahead of him which made him pull a bit of a face but he didn't seem to let that deter him from going to her rescue as he moved grab for one of her hands to gently tilt her into the turn so she could get the idea with little interference, "Careful now, you gotta turn too," he tried to encourage. "The wheels don't know that you need to turn, they just take you forward if ya let 'em!"

Tarot made a face, allowing Yorozu to help her steer. "Skatin's hard," she complained. She didn't really get why someone would want to try it in the first place. Then again she wasn't really good at physical stuff so it might have just been her. Sev always said she gave up too quickly on fun stuff to get the to fun parts.
What baffled her was people were having trouble on just a flat floor. Yet outside the building there was a little fenced area of concrete, with giant holes in it! People where just wheeling on into them like they weren't even there. She just didn't see the draw in it though.
"Why'd people like it so much," she asked, curious to see if Yorozu had an answer for her.
