12:00a EST October 1 --- 11:59p PST, October 31So, we're all a bit busy IRL this year! The quiet thread and quiet staff seems to prove this more than anything else. But since people seem to love S*C grams, we're allowing you to color your own!
There are some rules we need to see followed though! o1. No Cosplays. o2. You may only make ONE pet for yourself. ONE please. You may RECEIVE others though! o3. You may gift FIVE pets total. This does NOT include the one you can keep. So that means you can color 6 in all! o4. Edits ARE allowed; but no cosplays. o5. The event ends at 11:59p PST, October 31. o6. NO EXTENSIONS will be given. However, if the in-thread event is extended, this thread will remain unlocked. o7. Personal OCs do not count as part of the 'no cosplay' rule. You can certainly make characters you have created. o8. YOU SHOULD CERT. I will link the necessary fonts and write/screen shot a tutorial on it. o9. If you cannot cert, I (Kiareii) will do so, but I will charge you the standard gram fee of 1000g per pet and I'll ask for at least 48 hours to do so. If I cert for you, I host it on the shop's gram account for the time being and will PM the gram to the recipient as part of the fee. 1o. FINISHED GRAMS MUST BE POSTED HERE or they will not be included in the chance for it to be made into a living gladiers (these are ghosts o 3o more details to come). It should be posted by the recipient to count in the raffle!Because we (ok, I, anyway) think it will be fun; once we lock the thread, colorists who want to participate will pick/raffle grams that they will put on 'living' gladier lines. I haven't talked to them about it yet xD but just know I plan on it happening SOMEHOW, even if I'm the only one coloring ^.~
Staff who join in my little game above are allowed to exchange grams freely among S*C staff. You can gift grams to all S*C staff members and then 5 additionally outside the shop staff if you like to make that many, but you have to make at least one CYO into a 'living' gladier at the conclusion of the event!
And you can't bring a gram you colored to life unless it comes up in a random raffle, if you CC, it has to be a gram someone else colored!

Don't have Photoshop? ::
Google is an amazing thing.
CYO Files :: These are hosted on megaupload. If it is giving people trouble, drop Kiareii a PM.
ohohohoh~ you can post those done, but no new downloads!
Font Links :: 1. To install fonts (on a PC). Go to My Computer > C: > WINDOWS > Fonts. Leave that open. 2. You'll need WinZip or WinRar (or another program that will extract ZIP files) 3. Save the ZIP file to your desktop, extract it there and then drag and drop the .TTF file into your fonts folder. It will install automatically ^^

Certing Tutorial ::
Certing is not as hard as people make it out to be, just tedious! This tutorial is for use in Photoshop, I have never certed in GIMP: it is generally very disagreeable about fonts/text layers
o1. Download and open the revised cert file o2. Once your pet is done, make the white background layer invisible and select the canvas (ctrl+A) and use Copy Merged; this command is under the Edit menu. o3. Switch over to the cert file and make sure the top, pet layer is active and paste your pet (ctrl+V) o4. Go to the Edit menu and select Free Transform. There is a chain symbol in the middle of the toolbar, click that to lock your size ratio and change one of the boxes on either side of that chain symbol to 50%. Then move the pet until the edges match up with the white outline below. o5. Make the white guide layer invisible, edit the text layers, and save the image! Using the Save For Web feature will compress your image automatically and saving as a JPG, you can adjust how large a file size you create. I've been saving them around 50kb in size.

So you don't have a way to cert... ::
...or even if you just don't feel like certing. That's fine, as I stated in the rules, I (Kiareii) will cert for you. It costs 1ooog per gram. I will cert the gram, host it on the shop's Photobucket account reserved for grams, and PM the recipient for you.
Here's how this works--- o1. PM Kiareii, title it so she knows it is S*C grams xD ---include the form below for EACH gram o2. Send Kiareii a trade, again titled so she knows it is for S*C grams ---1ooog per gram, so up to 6ooog if I'm certing all of them for you o3. Be patient, I ask for at least 48 hours to cert and send before you contact me again. o4. I prefer transparent PNGs, but I can remove white backgrounds easily enough. But DEFINITELY use a PNG; better quality images, ftw.
The form---
the pet: url of the PNG of the full-sized pet the pet's name: IF you know it, otherwise, the recipient can PM me back with a name the recipient: who it is for (please include the full username in parenthesis if you want a nickname used on the cert) the colorist: who colored it
