i posted this in the garage, but i know this is where most of the people who know anything are located so ill repost here
So i just bought an 1987 toyota supra MKIII for 2600 bucks. she is naturally aspirated .. no turbo on she but i have found a 7mgte (Turbo) motor for sale on the web for 700 bucks or a 1JZTGE motor for 1500 . but also have found a manifold for a 7mgte for 300 and i know from research that the heads on the NA and Turbo car are exactly the same. soo what do you suggest ? upgrading my motor (220000 miles rebuilt 50000 miles ago) or just tearing it out and putting in a brand new 7mgte ot 1JZTGE motor from a jdm importer ? any suggestions are welcome, PS: im setting this car up for a daily driver that can compete in local gymkhana events, so i need the added horsepower, she comes with about 220 as is with a custom air filter and she is lowered 2''.

Are you good at drifting? surprised I would say go with the turbo if you need the Hp :/

Well this is my first RWD car ive owned, but my buddy got a 1988 skyline GT-T that we thrash around at the local events. hes got about 350 HP in his car, so just out of badness im going for 400, lol
but to answer your question, im alright nothing spectacular like tanner foust lol but i can kick it for 10 - 20 seconds

I would have to say the 7M bottom is different between the turbo and N/A.
