The brightly colored lion sat moping under a tree. It was a perfect moonlit night. The wind rushing softly through the grass, the stars shining brightly, all that jazz. A perfect night for romance, in other words. Come to think of it, what night wouldn't be perfect for romance? Jicho sighed heavily.
He was feeling rather sorry for himself. He wasn't hungry, which was something considering his utter lack of camouflage. He wasn't maimed, which was also something to marvel at considering his personality. While other lions might have been grateful for such small favors, Jicho wasn't. He was bored. Horribly, horribly bored. He had met many interesting new people recently, and irritated them all into a murderous frenzy. It was something to be proud of, but what did he have to show for it now, sitting all alone?
Oh, poor him! Jicho was longing for female company, but didn't know where to find it. It seemed like this whole blasted savannah was empty of the female species! Jicho heaved another melodramatic sigh.

Celile noticed a bright greenish blue figure in the distance and it snagged her attention. She decided to investigate and came upon a feline. But not just any feline... A lion. A grin crept across the leopard's face as she crawled closer to Jicho from behind. The smile only widened as she heard the series of melodramatic sighs coming from his lips.
"'ey.. Ya got a bird in yer throat 'er somethin'?" She cackled gently, fearlessly moving her slender form forward as she inspected the unique patterns along his coat. "I almost mistook yeh fer a giant lime at a distance." She paused, her grin fading for just a moment as she rethought her words. "Though I s'pose a lot of things can be mistaken for a giant lime... At a distance."

What was this? Someone sneaking up on him? Folk often snuck up on Jicho. He normally didn't bother trying to conceal himself, and he was quite used to people noticing him before he noticed them. He looked around, blinking.
The words were a bit rude! But the lady delivering them was simply luscious. What a conundrum! Jicho delighted in harassing rude lions, but as a rule he didn't harass females. No, much more interesting to try to seduce them. Stifling his wounded pride, Jicho smiled at her, admiring her own patterns. She was quite brightly colored, a very lovely shade of blue, which was almost as ravishing as green.
"I will take that for a compliment, madame!" Jicho said, drawing himself up a little bit more proudly. A giant lime, eh? Well, he had heard worse. "I can't think of a fruit such a lovely shade of blue as you, but you do look quite juicy!" He smiled brightly as he said this, taking a bit of the lewdness out of his words.

"As yeh should, I din' mean it any other way..."
Celile scoffed and rolled her eyes as she slowly slid to her haunches, settling her blue tail around her paws. Juicy? She knew this game all too well.. and even if he was a beautiful lion, he'd need to try a little harder. On the rare occasions Celile wasn't playing the 'seductive' role, she was the 'hard to get' damsel. It was fun either way, and it always ended in a pleasurable night.
"Juicy?" Celile gave a look of mock disgust, wrinkling her nose and shutting her eyes. "Tha's a poor excuse for a complimen'. I would have accepted 'sweet' or even 'mouth waterin''... But juicy? Gah." A smug expression almost crept up from behind the discontent one. This was just too amusing to keep up her unhappy charade in tact for much longer.

Well, well. Jicho took her apparent rejection in stride. She had a point about the silliness of his compliment. He had been caught a little off-guard by the lime comment! But he could tell that she was pleased, even if she was trying to hide it.
Of course, Jicho would have thought she was pleased even if she was attempting to rip his throat out.
He decided to tone it down a bit. "Beg your pardon. I sometimes get tongue-tied around great beauties." Jicho put on his most dazzling smile for the leopardess. "I am Jicho, and surely you must have a name as gorgeous as your coat."

If the lion had been a raging fire before, Celile's little comment was a raincloud that smothered him into barely a smolder. It pleased her. And she expressed it through a grin that revealed her glimmering fangs. She gave a subtle nod of approval at Jicho's improved compliments. "Well Jicho, I s'pose y'might be deservin' of meh name... It's Celile."
Brimming with confidence, the slim leopard swiftly got to her paws and plodded over to the larger feline. She met his eyes with a hard stare, in an attempt to drill into his mind and feast on his thoughts.
Pfff, if it only ever worked the way she'd liked. Instead she gave a gentle pur... wondering what the lion would do next, but somehow she had a feeling she already knew.

Aha! So the ice was melting. Jicho's smile widened in response to the Celile's grin. She was a feisty one! Jicho loved all kinds of ones, but feisty ones were high up on the list. He loved this kind of banter.
"Celile," Jicho said, bowing his head slightly. He could have lathered on another compliment, but instead he smirked at her. He sat still as she approached, meeting her stare. Such a sassy, direct female. And a leopardess! The leopardesses Jicho usually met were shy, preferring to remain in hiding rather than flirt with such a studly lion as himself.
The purr was sexy. Ooh. Jicho let out a soft rumble of a purr in response. Meeeeyowww, this leopardess was hot. "What are you doing tonight, Celile?" He asked in (what he thought was) his absolute sexiest voice.

Celile couldn't help but giggle at Jicho's sexy voice attempt. But she played at off as a flirtatious response instead. "I was hopin' to feast on gazelle... or wildebeas' calf..." She licked her maw at the thought of the tender meat on an infant gnu. "I haven't eaten in a while, y'see... And I don' think I can hunt. I'm too weak and tired. Do yeh happen to know where I can find a good meal?"
She slid to her haunches yet again, her blue tail sweeping the dirt and grass behind her. "I know lions are good hunters..." She gave a playful smirk. "After I get some food in meh gut I can take a good and long sleep."

That flirtatious giggle was music to Jicho's ears. Oh, this leopardess was definitely falling under his spell. Her next words were a tad worrisome. Hmm. If she was hungry, Jicho definitely wanted to take care of that ... but he had better things in mind than hunting! He would far rather be chasing after this fascinating blue beauty than some big lunk of an animal.
Oh, well. Nothing for it, he supposed! This lovely lady would hardly be impressed by a male that whined about getting her something to eat. Jicho smiled broadly, decided on his course of action.
"I'll hunt for you if you wish, madame," he said grandly, dipping his head in a slight bow. "If you promise to stay awake afterwards." His smile turned downright devilish.

A dangerous twinkle blazed in Celile's eyes at the male's response. Her smile stretched across the corners of her face, but they'd reached a limit by now. The leopardess gave the colorful male a gentle nod of approval. "Yeh have a deal... Butcha migh' have to give meh incentive to stay awake after a big meal. Yeh can understand how sleepy big meals can make a feline, aye?" Celile quickly spied a lurking heard of some unidentifiable beast in the distance. She gave Jicho an expectant glance before settling herself in the grass.
"I'll be here... waitin'. But don' count on me to stay if yeh take too long." She watched her new 'puppet' with a sly grin. It felt good to have a lion under your paw every now and then. And easily-manipulated ones were so rare these days..

Jicho knew he was being manipulated, but he didn't much mind it. If it would get him into this leopardess's pants ... er, fur, he was all for it. And if not tonight, well, there was always tomorrow. Jicho was quite persistent.
"I'll hold you to that deal," Jicho said cheerfully, giving the leopardess a cheeky wink and bounding off. Some creatures over there, no doubt sleepy and easily surprised ... well, they would definitely be surprised when they saw Jicho.
...
After a few minutes of perplexing noises and general ruckus, the brightly colored lion was returning to the leopardess, carrying a small antelope by the scruff of its neck. It had been a very quick hunt, for somewhat embarrassing reasons, but the result was what mattered, right? The leopardess didn't have to know that the animals had panicked upon seeing him and fled into the night. She didn't have to know that the antelope had stared over its shoulder at his mind-boggling colors and run headlong into a tree, snapping its neck. All she would know was that he was a mighty hunter!

Celile's ears perked and she craned her neck curiously as if to get a better look at the 'scuffle' in the distance. When Jicho and his prize came into view, she was clearly impressed. And she didn't attempt to hide it. He is so getting something special from her tonight.
"Tha's impressive, I can't lie." She called out as he came into earshot. As he arrived, she let herself gorge on the dead animal without hesitation. Chomping flesh and slurping juicy organs, blood splattering from her maw like tomato sauce off of spaghetti. The meal would last her a few days at least. Finally, she was satisfied, and wandered to rest in a particularly soft patch of grass. Remembering her promise, she glanced at Jicho, her entire face stained red with blood.

Jicho could tell that the leopardess was impressed. He positively beamed at her compliment. His pride was tinged with a bit of relief as well. Results were all that mattered with hunting, of course ... but it still might be a blow to his image if she knew the antelope had killed its own silly self running from the bizarrely colored lion.
"I'm glad you like it," Jicho purred smugly, settling down to watch her eat. He himself wasn't all that hungry. He was perfectly content to watch the leopardess gorge herself. It was kind of sexy, in fact. If she went after him with the same kind of gusto she was going after that antelope ... even though his own face was clean of blood, Jicho licked his lips.
When the leopardess wandered off to rest, Jicho followed. Now THIS was the kind of hunt he was interested in! He smiled at her, noting her bloodstained maw. "Need some help with that?" Jicho purred, looking at the blood on her face ... and letting his eyes roam over the rest of her incredibly beautiful blueness.
