Arianna walked with the small winged and purple toddler within her arms. They had decided, on a whim, to go check out this small carnival that was occurring at Isle de Gambino. The sun was shining but there was still a bit of autumnal chill in the air that caused Arianna to make sure that her charge was dressed in a light jacket and some other comfortable clothing so that she wouldn't get too cold. Besides jackets can be taken off at any time if Kiri got overheated.
The young woman herself also wore less resplendent clothing than she would normally wear. Arianna wore a simple pair of khaki colored capris and a tank top with her hair worn down to where it spilled down to the middle of her back. Rarely did the woman dress so informally but it seemed odd to wear a dress just to go out with her daughter especially to a carnival where she'd probably end up chasing the child around. Even her brother assured her that this was the most logical way to dress.
As they entered the small carnival with the lights, rides, and other festivities going the young woman looked down at her daughter, "What do you want to do first, Kiri?"
The small girl pursed her lips as she gazed about before finally her eyes landed on a nearby carousel, "That!"
Arianna laughed and nodded, "Of course," and started to head toward the gaily colored and lighted contraption.

A younger man walked slowly through the flashing lights and laughing participates, amazed at the scene the carnival created. On his shoulders sat a very interesting boy, one with red, fuzzy fur and golden hair that curled around his face. He was still a toddler, and his small hands proved it as he held tight to his father's head. A long, pale colored tail with bright brown fur wrapped around the man's upper arm and the kid's bright moss eyes looked around with surprise.
And, for once, the usually sleepy boy was awake and ready to cause some childish chaos.
"Look...LOOK!" Aleric continued to cry out, smiling with awe at the flashing lights and giggling and waving at the passerby. To the toddler, he was on top of the world and ready to experience it all. To Loyd, the child was a bit heavy but somewhat cute, and it was pretty nice to see the kid so happy.
"I know Aleric, hey, do you want to go on a ride?" The human asked, eying the carousel with a smirk and knowing the toddler would love it.

Resting her daughter on her hip with an arm coiled about the child's waist above the tail and just under her delicate looking wings Arianna first headed toward the ticket booth when the small voice caught her attention and saw the young man with a child equal to her daughter's age and an idea struck her. Claudine and Onuris always go on and on about how their child met another child one way or another during an outing perhaps she should do the same with her daughter.
She paused a few feet away from the ticket booth which caused Kiri to blink with brief curiosity before her mother turned and started to head toward the man with the child that looked about her age. Brown eyes gazed at the other toddler with a bit of a tilt to her head. He certainly was all sorts of pretty colors!
"Excuse me, sir?" Arianna tried to get the man's attention as politely as she could.
Kiri however was much more informal and more directing a greeting to the other toddler, "Oh hai!"

Loyd was walking closer, his hand coming up to pat Aleric's knee when a voice caught his attention. As he turned his whole body, since his head couldn't turn with his son, he heard the little girl cry out as well.
"Uh...hi!" Aleric responded first, turning his head and looking at the girl with wide eyes. She wasn't human, just like him, she was very different and very interesting to the toddler's overstimulated eyes. He leaned over Loyd's head, his body squirming and shifting around the large object in attempt to get closer to the girl and possibly grab her pretty wings.
Loyd, seeing the issue, let out a grunt as he grabbed the boy and moved him down to the ground, setting a hand on his head and smirking when the boy appeared to pout.
"Can I help you?" He asked with a lazy, half-grin.

Arianna mimicked the man setting her daughter down so she could interact with the other child. That was the right thing to do she supposed though she wasn't certain. Hopefully the toddlers wouldn't wander off while she was trying to discuss something with the young man before her. Now that she got his attention a light blush dusted across her cheeks and she found the hardest part, for her, was to keep going with her offer. She hadn't had much interaction with men other than her brother so this was a little strange for her, "U..Um..Yes," she cleared her throat as she threaded her fingertips into Kiri's hair to remind herself why she was doing this. "I..I noticed you were going to the same ride and have a similarly aged child to my daughter and...if I offered to split the difference would you mind if they shared a ride together in one of the carriage-like items on the carousel...It is my Kiri's first time and I fear she might fall if sat on one of the horses or other animals but I do not wish to stifle her by holding her up on something..."
Kiri wasn't paying much attention to the adults though she was mindful that her parent's hand was combing through her hair a bit. She shifted and stared at the boy, "I'mma Kiri~. What's you?"

Loyd slowly raised an eyebrow at the blush that the woman had dotting her cheeks, before glancing down toward the child to break eye contact. The girl was cute, and her wings were very delicate looking. Glancing to his own kid, still in the pjs that the boy seemed to love, Loyd wondering if he should get the child some more clothes outside of the comfortable stuff he got from his parents.
"Hey hey," He finally interrupted, looking up as he listened to her ramble, "Calm down doll, I'm sure Aleric would enjoy to share a ride with a new friend, and it saves me from needing to sit with the kid and looking somewhat foolish..." He let out a short laugh, before turning to the foo-dogmix, "Isn't that right, Al?"
Aleric nodded before turning to the little girl and letting out a shy smile, "Aleric! I'm Aleric"".

She stopped talking and pressed her lips together for a moment feeling quite silly because she had been indeed rambling. Why did it always have to feel so...Difficult? After a moment Arianna wore a smile and nodded a bit, "Yes of course, I apologize," she said softly. The woman shifted her weight from side to side before she offered, "I'm Arianna," and if he was paying attention at all he knew her daughter's name so she didn't bother to toss that at him. "Lets...get the darlings set up on the ride."
Kiri beamed at Aleric that was a nice name! She liked Alerics she decided, "I likes! Sit on ride with me, yes?" Despite whatever foolery the adults were planning she wanted to ask the boy if he wanted to by herself instead!

Loyd let out a nod, placing his hands in his pocket and turning toward his newly adopted son. He started to grin as Aleric appeared to be more aware, and quite fascinated with the little girl that wanted to play. Hearing the words that Kiri asked Al, Loyd chuckled and moved to pat his son on the head.
"Yes!"" He responded with his same large grin, ""Lets ride together!"
Loyd turned back to Arianna, "By the way, m'name is Loyd and this here is Aleric...my little trooper..." He held out his hands in an attempt to solidify the friendship, because who knew, maybe he would see Arianna again after tonight to set up some play dates with the two toddlers.

Kiri grinned widely at the boy and nodded her head as she reached out and held out a purple hand toward her new found friend as if to help solidify that they were going on the ride together. Mommy always told her to hold hands with her or someone she was going places with so this was totally logical! "Whaaaaaaaaaat is Ale'ic's favorites color hmn?" the small toddler asked eager to keep the conversation going like adults often did.
Arianna nodded and offered a small smile, "He is a little darling," she complimented sincerely as she moved and after a small hesitation slipped her hand into Loyd's to shake hands. She'd never done a handshake before much less with man, she flushed a bit before she withdrew her hand and turned to the children, "Alright ducklings, let's get you a ticket," she said toward the children. The young woman seemed to have an easier time dealing with the kids for the most part.
Arianna turned and started to move to the ticket booth to buy the tickets for the ride, she felt it was an alright gesture.

Aleric looked at the offered hand that the girl presented. Sure, he always held his father's hand, so he easily was able to take the hand that was offered. As he held her hand, he practiced a little swing back and forth, and continued to grin.
"I like blue, like Bear,"" was his response, and he looked expectant as to hear her favorite color in return.
Up ahead, Loyd followed Arianna to the ticket booth, stepping up with her, "I can cover it if you would like?" He said with a stupid grin, facing her while the corner of his eye kept a constant look on his son.

Kiri didn't mind that their hands were swinging in fact it was almost comforting in a strange way, it was like holding hands with her cousin Nell or one of her older sisters, she liked it. She seemed thoughtful when he mentioned his favorite color before she chirruped, "I like p'eenk an', an' puh'pil." Then again those are colors she saw often because they were a part of her or worn by someone in her family that she adored. It was hard to not like the color when it was attached to someone she loved.
There was a pause, "Bears 'er blue?"
She'd honestly never seen bears.
Arianna paused and glanced over at Lloyd and smiled a bit, "How about I pay for the first round and then if they want on again you can pay the other or maybe pay for whatever ride they want to go on next..." She said thoughtfully and then she blushed as she shifted her shoulders, "or is it customary that the other parent pays first?"
