First of all, I need to apologize to you all for my actions lately. I know I haven't been myself and I'm really trying not to let my emotions get the best of me but it's not been working.
I am talking to someone but I just don't want to be put on some anti-depressent that is going to make me feel better emotionally but effect other things in my life.
I know I'm not getting any younger and that is part of what's going on but what is it going to be like a few years from now if I can't handle what's happening to me now?
I do want to thank butterfly, fawN, jelly and Barbie for talking with me last night. It did help but I feel I shouldn't have to burden you all with my problems. I just don't know what else to do.

Roo, I've been living with depression since I was 14 (I'm 26 today). I've also been on and off meds, am currently on. Not all of them mess with your real life, and not everyone needs them forever. I'm glad that you do recognize where you are mentally and are seeking some kind of help for it--not enough people do that, and it actually takes a strong person to do so. Please, PM or email or reply here if you ever want to discuss or talk or just chat about anything. *huggles*

Thanks everyone. You really don't know how much you all mean to me.
I'm pretty sure this is something to do with my being a female and my age but I'm not 100% sure. All I do know is if I feel like this now at 36, what am I going to be like when I'm in my 50's and am going through menopause. (Sorry to the men here, I know you don't want to be reading this stuff)

Or (in my case) 44 and in your second year of whatever changes your body goes through when EVERYTHING is surgically removed. Did not help realizing that the hysterectomy I had way back when has not only cause the onset of menopause, but also possibly a big part of why my immune system was ablt to get to depleted last year... not to mention my weight which went way way way up since the hysterectomy. Honestly, if I was not trying to educate Bubba, I wonder if I would get out of bed somedays eek

Rue, I hope you get to feeling better soon! *HUGGS* Now if you're worried about how you feel then maybe seeing a doctor about it would be a good thing. I hate medications too but sometimes they are better than not having any at all. I have to live through that with my hubby and my parents. They're all on medications... my mom is on antidepressants. They seem to be doing wonders for her because before she got on them she was very touchy about certain things and cried alot. Now she laughs alot and isn't as irritable as she used to be. Now for the menopause thing... that's not uncommon. My sister just turned 40 and has been dealing with her menopause for a few years now. I remember when mom went through it, it took her several years to complete it. And trust me, it is terrible! I know it tore mom apart when she went through it and it was very rough on her. I think my sister is having a hard time with it too but we don't talk... I just know what mom has told me. I hope in your case that you can get through this quickly. It won't be easy by any means but remember you have your Purkle family here to help you through it. Don't be ashamed of this, just come and talk about it.
We love you Rue *HUGGS*

I'll work through it though.

i'm so glad you're still here with us Roo, i was worried about you today so i'm very glad that you've decided to stay, we are here to help and support each other as best we can, don't ever forget that, i like to think i could talk about anything i needed to with you guys and that means a lot to me. I know we sometimes have little disagreements, but they're just small personality conflicts i think, like i said to Roo, i think we rub along pretty well for a bunch of strangers, i look forward to getting home and coming here to catch up on everyone else's lives, it makes me feel good 3nodding

None of us are doctor's, nor do we ever claim to be. (not even on tv) But between all of us we usually manage to work things out. So in the guild discussions forums, I created a thread you all may like. heart
