 Society: The laws include the "laws of the court", the laws laying down the obligations and entitlements of the king and the officers of his court and the "laws of the country" dealing with every other topic. In some versions of the laws some of the material in the laws of the country are split off into the "justices' test book" dealing with homicide, theft and the values of wild and tame animals and other items. Within each of these sections there are tracts of varying length dealing with different subjects, for example the law of women and the law of contracts. Civil law differed from most other codes of law in the rule that on a landowner's death his land was to be shared equally between his sons, legitimate and illegitimate.
The second part of the laws begins with "the laws of women", for example the rules governing marriage and the division of property if a married couple should separate. The position of women under Patiente law differed significantly to that of their rivaling kingdoms. A marriage could be established in two basic ways. The normal way was that the woman would be given to a man by her kindred; the abnormal way was that the woman could elope with a man without the consent of her kindred. In this case her kindred could compel her to return if she was still a virgin, but if she was not she could not be compelled to return. If the relationship lasted for seven years she had the same entitlements as if she had been given by her kin.
Daily Life for Non-nobles: Daily life in Patience varies markedly by region. Social advantage and deprivation can exist side by side, particularly in parts of South Patience. The population also varies in terms of its cultural diversity, from the cosmopolitanism of Camri to the traditionally monolithic industrial communities.
Noted for: The center of cultural and political resistance, (especially against Justice (who in earlier times tried to cease the Patience borders, and against Wrath and Envy.
Terrain Much of Patience is mountainous, particularly in three main regions: Snowdi in the north west, the Mewra Mountains in mid Patience, and the Swaldin Beacons in the south. Patience is cloudier than Justice, because of the hilly nature of the terrain and the proximity to the ocean.
Military
Patiente armies were based around the individual princes' and chieftains' personal bodyguards (Teulu). The rest of the force would comprise of any local men over the age of 14; this service was seen as a privilege, as opposed to feudal militias who saw such service as an obligation. The only men over the age of 14 who were exempt from such service were those who were tenants on church lands. A prince could call out his host once a year, and they would only have to serve in campaigns outside of their principality for up to 6 weeks..
The Teulu (literally meaning "family") were strongly armed and mounted retainers. They were armed as a feudal knight, in chainmail and helmet, and carrying a shield and lance. Early in this period, the Teulu may have used javelins instead of lances, just like their adversaries.

H i s t o r y : Maelona never knew her real parents, she had been give up at birth. The only thing she leaned about her parents was that her mother was a banshee herself, beyond that she knows nothing, and has no desire to know anything else about them. She was adopted at a young age by the king and queen of Patience and was named a princess because her would be adopted siblings had been slaughtered, or so everyone had always believed.
Maelona grew up in a loving home despite the reasons she had been brought into the home. Everything was fairly normal for her, other than the fact that war broke out everywhere. She kept to herself, finding it was easier than being teased because her real parents didn't want her, and that she was only second best here. It saddened her to have people tell her this, though she wouldn't show it. Her mother and father would always remind her they they loved her regardless, and that she was part of their family, blood or not.
Maelona loved her mother and father, and hated that she had to watch them suffer. There were daily reminders that their other children had been taken from them. She would walk with her mother, the Queen, though the halls, looking at the different family paintings they had done when each child had been born or brought into the family. She would listen as her mother would tell her stories about them. From this, Maelona never felt like a replacement, only an addition to a loving family. Though through the years, she had seen her mother grow weaker and weaker from the loss of her family. She also saw that it was taking a toll on her father as well, though of course he tried to remain strong for his wife.
Years had passed, and the wars grew worse. Maelona watched as it claimed people left and right, leaving families destroyed. Fathers and sons no longer came home, and it pained the young princess. Though soon after Veritas opened his home for those heirs and their siblings of all kingdoms, roomers began to circulate though the kingdom. People spoke of two princes, two princes that were thought to have been lost. They had come back according to the people, and they were waiting at Veritas castle.
These roomers had put some hope back into the Queens eyes, something Maelona desperately wanted her mother to have once more. Soon Maelona was shipped off to the old Gods home in hopes to keep her safe, and in hopes to confirm the rumor. P e r s o n a l i t y : For the most part, Maelona is very sweet, or at least she tries to be. She is shy, but will usually have no problem being around anyone, so long as they do not seem to be a threat to her well being. She also tries to respect everyone, whether they be royalty or a servant. Cruelty was never something she specialized in. Her feeling can be hurt quite easily most of the time, though she tends to try and hide it. She does had a temper at time, though it is usually with someone who is cruel, or it will come out when she has gotten no rest. L i k e s : Maelona likes peaceful situations, something calm where everyone is getting along for the most part. She likes being outside where she can look at the flowers and wild life. She also likes being around people who are kind to her regardless of where they are from and where she is from. She also likes chocolate, listening to bards and musicians, and reading. D i s l i k e s : Maelona hates being judged for being from the kingdom of Patience, she also hates being judged for being a banshee. If she has done nothing wrong to someone, why should they hate her upon sight? She also dislikes people that take advantage of others, and people that tread others, even maids and such, like they are dirt. xxxxxx[ ȶ | ћ | e | A | ɗ | ɗ | ɨ | ȶ | ɨ | σ | n | s ]... P o w e r : 'The High Note' comes in five stages. With this power, she can hit and sustain a high frequency note. Stage one causes glass to shatter, stage two causes the ears of the people around her to bleed. Stage three causes the body to become paralyzed, stage four shuts down the brain and begins to work on other organs, and to put it simply, stage five is death. This high note power can be battled however, though only in the first three stages. If a person begins to make their own sustained noise, the change in frequency disrupts the frequency that Maelona puts out, making the power useless. Also, the further you are away from the sound, the less it will affect you, if it affects you at all.
When Maelona is also overly stressed or angry her voice can become harsh as well, causing some pain to the ears or someone’s head. Though it is nowhere near as dangerous as her high note. ]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r S t r e n g t h s : Maelona knows what her voice can do and because of this she had fought to control it rather than letting it control her. ]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r W e a k n e s s e s : Other noise frequencies can disrupt the potency of the high note. Distance is also something to consider. The further you are away the less the high note or her screaming will affect you. Anything that is placed in the ears to cancel out noise will also lessen the affect. ]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r M a s t e r y : 5 W e a p o n s : Small silver dagger.
