Society: The social structure of Justice was organized around a system with loose ties to Feudalism. The country is still ruled by the king, but with the aid of individual lords, or barons, who administer their own estates and, in some cases, laws. Usually the lords can field greater armies for the king. The king is the chief feudal lord, however, and all the lords and barons are, in essence, his knights and servants.

Merchants and farmers need stability for trade, so they supported the king and the establishment of a strong central government against the rule of individual nobles. The king, for his part, encourages the growth of towns and trade. Town charters have become a major source of royal revenue.

Furthermore, Justice places emphasis on set gender roles; the country falls to the control of male heirs only...females born into the royal family are only eligible for the throne if they marry, in which case most of the power would go to the king.

The duties which fall upon the Queens of Justice center mostly around the Church and its affairs.

Daily Life for Non-nobles:
Citzens are mostly comprised of merchants and farmers. Merchants are quite popular, and are regulated by guilds which are designed for an array of different trades. Festivals are a common affair in the towns and rural areas of the country.

Noted for: Achievements in Literature, Music, and Politics.

Terrain: Justice’s terrain mostly comprises low hills and plains, especially in the central and southern areas of the country. It is often rainy.

The capitol city is Luton.

Military: Justice’s army specializes in Siege Warfare. Their besieging armies use a wide variety of siege engines including: scaling ladders; battering rams; siege towers and various types of catapults such as the mangonel, onager, ballista, and trebuchet. Siege techniques also include mining in which tunnels are dug under a section of the wall and then rapidly collapsed to destabilize the wall's foundation.

H i s t o r y : Lilith was born to a somewhat normal couple, just average people in Justice (her mother's family was exiled from Wrath, though she doesn't know more than that). Well, except for the fact that her father was a warlock. And not a good one, at that. He turned himself into a donkey before young Lilith was 10. But at least she didn’t have to walk to the market anymore. He did try to impart some magical knowledge onto his daughter before that, but it didn’t take very well. She could turn a rose into a thimble, but what good does that do? (and she couldn’t change it back either) Thankfully, her paternal aunt gave her a ring that helped focus her magical powers (helped her powers but not her mind). Unfortunately, it also imbued her with horrendous and spectacularly bad luck. As such, even though she might be able to turn water into wine... more often than not, it would be deadly poisonous. On occasion, through the law of random chance, a spell has worked successfully.

One particularly off target spell was the main reason she disappeared from her home. Whilst trying to find a cure for the most obnoxious hiccups that ever did inhabit a person’s body, poor Lilith combined an incantation and a potion to rid herself of this plague. In effect, her hiccups caused her to muck up the spell so that she was transported to another realm, another time, another pain in the butt. Living in this foreign realm was difficult and arduous work. But even after eight grueling and lonely years, Lilith is still considered a freak to the people of this world. She just doesn’t blend in very well. But then, no loss, as it’s not like she was considered “normal” back home either. The young witch would do anything to return home, away from the cruel eyes and words of these strange people who demand extra cheese. She would even tell a teeny tiny insignificant (itsy bitsy) white lie. See occupation above.


P e r s o n a l i t y : Quick to anger. Even quicker to be amused. Easily distracted. For example, lint in the air can sometimes be quite fascinating. She isn’t the arrogant sort, but can be quite proud of her accomplishments (especially when they work out correctly). Is also somewhat gullible to believe people...and things... (this could be a result of being switched between two realms with contrasting points of view when it comes to magic and outlook of reality) Has a tendency to put foot in mouth, well, more like feet in mouth.(never aiming to insult, just ends up that way)

L i k e s : Being a hardcore defender of justice! (with a healthy pint of judgement). To ask questions. When her spells work. Her job. Pretty people with grumpy faces, it makes her laugh, but she likes most people in general.

D i s l i k e s : Being the full center of attention. Being alone or being snubbed. It makes her crazy to be called crazy.

The simpler the possibility, the less magic (and concentration) that is required to accomplish it, i.e. healing a small wound is easy because it is "possible" that it’s not that severe in the first place. Lilith's ring enhances her magical powers in that a correctly cast spell will be powerful.

xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r W e a k n e s s e s : The more unlikely the possibility, the more difficult the matter becomes, i.e. the presence of an ogre in New York City is not very plausible, therefore it is not likely to be a successful spell to create one there. Her mental focus is not affected by the ring, and is naturally not very strong to begin with. The bad luck that goes with the ring will not just twist a spell to fail on occasion, but it serves to provide distractions, which complicate the problem with her mental focus.

P o w e r : The ability of being attuned to people’s emotions. This is an ability that she doesn’t know she has, nor how to really “read” it. When picking up on sadness, for example, she might just think that it’s going to rain regardless of the true weather (6th sense). Certain other senses fluctuate based on what she’s concentrating on. Food may taste bad if she’s upset someone, or smells appear without source.

H i s t o r y : Kirios was born to a family of sorcerers in the middle of the city of Luton. His parents were part of a temple of magic healers that served as something of a hospital for the locals. From an early age it was quite apparent that Kirios was not like the rest of his clan of mages, often finding himself getting into fights with the local youth at a young age. Whereas his family wanted nothing more than to use their powers to serve as healers to the community, Kirios wanted to learn the ways of battle and offensive sorcery. For years he protested the demands of his family to become another healer, until he was eventually expelled from his order.

For a short while, Kirios lived on the streets as something of a begger and a wanderer in his late teenage years, occasionally doing odd jobs for locals in exchange for bed, bath, and food. It was during one of those odd jobs that he found himself working for a local merchant simply calling himself M. He only worked for the man one day, but that day would end up changing his life forever. M told Kirios he was aware of his lineage as a sorcerer, and explained to him that he had great potential to be a great sorcerer given the proper guidance. He gave Kirios a book, a journal, and allowed him to sleep in his home for the night.

Kirios never found out just who M was, for the next morning the old man, and all his belongings, were completely gone. All the was left was a single piece of parchment, the deed to the house, which he soon turned into an odd jobs business. Immediately he went back to the journal, opened it, and began a new journey. Among other minor things, the journal detailed a kind of magic known as soul projection. He learned that those born with sorcerous potential all had the ability materialize their soul into a weapon that represents them the most, each one different from the others. In his case, he was able to materialize his soul in the form of a chain, which he learned to use in various ways.

For years he trained to hone his skill, learning to use this skill in battle in many ways. Once satisfied with his level of skill he began to hire himself out as a task mage, most often finding himself in mercenary work. He gained some level of infamy for his skill and ability to achieve results, as well as competence in strategy and battle tactics, eventually gaining the attention of the kingdom’s royal family. He was asked join their military ranks as a strategist, and for years fought alongside the army of Justice, eventually rising up in the ranks to becoming a General.

Recently, in retaliation to recent attacks from the Hubrisian people, he was given orders to join the representatives of Justice in the realm of Veritas to bolster the ranks.


P e r s o n a l i t y : Though he can seem intimidating at times, Kirios really is a kind-hearted and good-spirited man, and is notorious among his men for being something of a charmer among those of the opposite sex. Aside from that, he lives for battle, and in every skirmish he literally fights with all his spirit.

P o w e r : Through training in certain kinds of sorcery, he’s learned to channel his soul and materialize it in the form of a nigh unbreakable chain he can control at will.

]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r S t r e n g t h s : He can use this chain both offensively and defensively. He can affect the chain’s length and width, and can even split the chain apart and effect the individual links like small projectiles. He can use multiple of these chains at once.

]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r W e a k n e s s e s : The longer/wider his chain is the more of a strain his powers are on his mind and soul. Using individual links as projectiles takes copious amounts of concentration, as any mistakes can literally make him lose pieces of his own soul, making him considerably weaker. The more chains he uses at once, the more of a strain his powers are on his mind and soul, as such the individual chains become much weaker than they would normally be if he was using a single one.

H i s t o r y : Livia was born to a tribe of Amazons, the daughter of an amazon shaman and a male elf she never met. From her birth, Livia was gifted with a connection to the life force that bound all things together - it was not until she turned 9 that her tribe realized the implications of this power. The tribe settled in the far reached of justice, and while her gift could have lead her down the path of destruction and death, Livia was trained how to use her ability for the protection of the tribe and the innocent. While the tribe did encourage her to siphon life from plants and small animals to elongate her life, this was justified by thinking of the lives she could save if she remained young and fit forever. As the members of her tribe began to age, they settled in the far reaches of Justice, Livia watching as her tribe slowly became assimilated into the people of Justice. At first, she welcomed the change, often using her powers to channel the spirits of the death through her own being to speak their last peace to their grieving relatives. She did not even recognize the potential destruction her powers could bring until the raid of her village, and the official end of her Amazonian lifestyle.

When her village was attached by Wrathian forces, Livia was nearly overwhelmed by the feeling of so many life forces ending and transporting to the realm of death in such a short span. In her desperation, Livia summoned forth ghastly creatures from death's plain, trading them small pieces of her own life force in exchange for their protection and ferocity. The Wrathian forces were defeated, but at a huge price. Her tribe had been decimated, whatever amazon's remained fully immersing themselves into the Justeen way of life. Livia, while instrumental in the defeat of the enemy forces, over-exerted herself and gave too much life force to the beings from death. Her spiritual body, unable to find the energy to make the journey back to her physical body was trapped in death's plain for hundreds of years. Narut, the Shaman of her tribe, discovered her physical body in the aftermath of the battle and carefully hid it, using her powers to protect it until her eventual death.

When Livia awoke, enclosed in a tomb overgrown with brush since her protector had passed on to the realm of the dead. Absorbing the life force of the vines that enclosed her chamber, the amazon felt youth restored to her, though the world had drastically changed from what she could remember. The kingdoms were larger, conflicts broader, Justice itself socially changed and customs updated with the times. Using her newfound allies in the realm of death to protect herself and the innocent merchants of Justice, the necromancer Livia became a well-known defender of Justice and reliable ally to the realm.

P e r s o n a l i t y : Livia's personality can be a bit off-putting if one does not know what to expect. Her powers give her a very distorted view of life and death - rather than fear death, she encourages people to accept it. As such, she never cries at funerals but will instead laugh, causing some to think she is just outright crazy. She is not depressed or quiet, nor is she happy and bubbly. Livia instead lives in the moment and is very blunt when it comes to her emotions. If she wants something, she will often just take it, and if someone asks her opinion, she will give it without a filter. She accepts the circle of life, as it were, and honors all things, both living and dead. For this reason, she never feels guilty about taking the life from a plant or animal to sustain her own life force at a steady level - everything has it's place in this world and the next. When others are upset by this, she does not let it bother her. She lives by her own code, which is to use her powers and connection between the living and the dead to protect the innocent and her own way of life.

P o w e r : Livia is gifted with the ability to connect the life force that binds living things to the realm of life with the realm of death. With smaller beings (namely plants and small to medium-sized animals), she can drain this life force into her own body, thereby keeping her young. With larger, more powerful beings (humans, large prey), she is only able to stifle the force, or use her connection to take small trips from the world of the living to the land of the dead. When traveling from the world of life to death, her body becomes nothing but a shell, and needs to be protected. If her spiritual body is killed in the realm of the dead, her physical body dies as well; and any injuries her spiritual body incurs are transferred to the physical body. Conversely, if her physical body is injured, those injuries are felt in the spiritual world (though they do not physically manifest), and if the body is destroyed, she will be trapped in death's plain forever. This force also allows her to see without physical sight, and she feels her connection to this life force is stronger when her vision is cut off, causing her to almost always wrap her eyes in cloth.

xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r S t r e n g t h s : Her abilities allow her to utilize the life force of smaller animals to keep her own age constant, therefore not having to worry about the slowed aging process she does have because of her elvish heritage. Furthermore, it allows her to track certain beings if she can focus on their life force and follow it to their physical location. This force also allows her to see without physical sight, and she feels her connection to this life force is stronger when her vision is cut off, causing her to almost always wrap her eyes in cloth.

]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r W e a k n e s s e s : If her spiritual body is killed in the realm of the dead, her physical body dies as well; and any injuries her spiritual body incurs are transferred to the physical body. Conversely, if her physical body is injured, those injuries are felt in the spiritual world (though they do not physically manifest), and if the body is destroyed, she will be trapped in death's plain forever. She is only able to take one, possibly 2 people with her in trips between planes, and doing so is a huge strain on her. For this reason, she tends to travel alone, only taking another soul when it is absolutely necessary.

P o w e r : She is also able to summon forth beings from the realm of the dead as protectors, and can reabsorb their given life force into herself to replenish the energy it takes to summon them and keep them in this realm. She can only summon one being at a time - any more than that and the small amount of her life force she must exchange to give them life becomes too much, and she can be trapped in death permanently.

xxxxxxxxxxBeings From the Realm of Death:
xxxxxxxxxx- Golznak the Assassin: Golznak was an assassin in his previous life, doomed to wander the plain of death without rest for eternity. During her time in Death, recovering for her return to the world of the living, he became convinced through their conversations that he could atone for the deeds of his past by protecting her and the living when called. His specialty is speed attacks, and is known to be quite ferocious in the battle field.

xxxxxxxxxx- Narut the Shamaness: Narut was the shaman of Livia's tribe, and the one who guarded her body after the demise of their law of life. She houses powerful magic, connected to the earth around her. It was Narut that put Livia on the path of good as opposed to the destructive path of death, and she found Livia once she had crossed over into the realm of death to offer her continued strength and protection. In times of existential crisis, Livia seeks her out in their corner of death's plain for guidance and understanding.

xxxxxxxxxx- Styx: Styx is the undead spirit of a powerful knight. In her travels through death's plain, Livia befriended him, using him as transportation. He is very quick and agile, often summoned into battle to both intimidate and outrun enemies.

]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r S t r e n g t h s : In desperate times, these beings can save her life, or the lives of those around her. These beings often compensate for her lack of any physical attributes that set her apart in the battle field.

]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r W e a k n e s s e s : In order to summon one of these creatures, she must sacrifice a small portion of her own life force in order to grant life to the being from death. H i s t o r y : Alexander Steel was born of a family with a long line of labourers, on both parents sides. Blacksmiths, carpenters, lumberjacks, thatchers, builders, even a few guardsmen were recorded into the genealogy. Thus imagine the shock of his parents, and indeed extended family, when he announced, with his chest puffed proudly and his head held high, that he was to become a bard! Vocalist, musician, lyricist, story teller, and dramatist alike! In all honesty, however, his family had seen this coming, and dreaded every moment of it's approach, for from the moment he learnt to speak, he had been a romantic.

Always, the Alexander Steel had dreamt of far away lands, of mighty heroes and monstrous villains and creatures, of distressed damsels and princes of charm. But not once had he dreamt that he would be the hero. Nay, he had always envisioned himself as the trusty bard, not some glorified minstrel, but a friend and musician, following heroes of might and magic, taking note of their quests for justice and honour so that he may one day speak of their tales and hardship so that they may live on forever in the hearts of many. So that he would live on in the hearts of many! He would be known as the greatest bard ever to walk the Earth!

His family had dared to hope that perhaps he wasn't cut out for the life of a bard. Hoping his voice would falter, his ears be tone deaf, his penmanship undecipherable. Alas, their hope was misplaced it seemed, for the guild not only accepted him, but helped him to refine his dreams. It became apparent that he was no lyricist, but he had a voice that demanded attention, and a way with words that left many in awe, and though he was far from the best musician they'd seen, he had a way with his lute that would draw out the emotions of a crowd, as if their hearts were his strings. It was later established that he also had a natural talent with the sword, returning hope to his family that perhaps he would follow and admirable pursuit after all. But again, they were met with disappointment, for he had no interest, learning only what he needed to defend himself and not even bothering to show up for the rest of his lessons.

To the dismay of the guild, on the day of Alexander's eighteenth birthday, he resigned his position saying he could learn no more, and that the road was calling. Not that he had any desire to leave his country. No, his heart and his honour were with the kingdom of Justice, to the edicts of his people. That was until he realised there were few tales to be had, and most were either as common as the sun, or not worth telling. ]xxxxxxxxxx P o w e r W e a k n e s s e s : Sasha has no control over where the emotion is directed, or even how it is implemented, lending itself to the possibility of just making matters worse. For example, should he try to quell a conflict between to men fighting over the love of a maiden by drawing out compassion, he may only serve to escalate the matter by strengthening their compassion for yon maiden, thereby fuel their hatred for one another.
