Andreas: *runs past, trying to catch a bat to paint* P=
Tsukasa was happy once again, wandering through the festival as she tossed and juggling her batons, catching them with ease. Considering her powerful talent with wind magic, it took her little trying to keep them from running into anyone else, or hitting anyone. That is, it was easy until she almost ran into another teenager who streaked across her path. Gasping, she reached out to snatch one of her batons from the air, only to catch the bat, baton ending up in the hands of a long gone strange. The confused girl blinked her bright blue eyes, gently petting the unhappy creature in her hands. What on earth...?
"GOTCHA!" Andy cried triumphantly in mid air as his hands closed over a solid object. Unfortunately, his glee was short-lived as in his distraction he had failed to make a proper landing and he fell. A ball of brown fur, lanky legs and hooves, he tumbled a short way through the crowd of festival goers and came to a stop behind the "Test Your Strength" booth. Dazed, the teenager shook his head and looked down at the object in his hands; it certainly wasn't a bat. "What the..." Turning the bat over in his hands, he looked around in confusion.
Tsukasa squeaked girlishly when the boy actually tripped and rolled through the festivities, cutting a firm line through the mass of 'taur, who all turned their heads after him while he was moving. Taking fast advantage of the momentary parting, Tsuki plodded through the crowd, finding the boy's landing place and tossing her four remaining batons in a quiver on her back. The bat in her hand had grown quite content since she'd caught it, and rested quietly in her hand. Chuckling softly, she smiled at the splotchy teen. "Right nasty fall you had there, wasn't it? Need a hand?" she asked, holding out her hand to help the boy up, even if he decided to be independent instead.
Andy chuckled, "Nothin' I can't handle." After shaking clear his still spinning head, Andreas looked up at the other teen with a grin and took her hand, "How could I refuse a pretty girl like you." Standing on shaking legs, he brushed the dirt and grass from his fur. Looking the cattaur teen over he noted her baton quiver. He grinned again, this time a little sheepishly, "Thanks... That uh, didn't quite go as planned. I believe this is yours?" He held out the baton.
Tsukasa laughed, confident as she ever was despite the faintest of blushes creeping onto her cheeks at the unexpected compliment. "I dun'no quite how, but I'm pretty sure I'd be able t'think of a way or two if y'gave me enough time," she replied with a smile and a wink, helping to raise to centaur to his feet. After all, there were certainly a few reasons to deny someone something, even if they were pretty. She smiled at the amusing comment from the teen and nodded, taking the baton and slipping it into the quiver with the rest of them. "Thank ya' very much. I believe this little fella belongs to you, then?" she questioned, holding the small, white bat out to him gently, making sure to keep its wings pinned firmly to its body. "Ohright- M'name's Tsukasa, by-the-by. And your's?"
Andreas matched her smile with a charming one of his own, "I'm sure you could, although you'd be hard pressed to." Observing as she slipped the baton into the quiver with the others, he wondered absently if she was a performer of some kind. As she gently offered him the bat, he took it with much more care than he'd employed in chasing it through the festival. "You're not hurt are ya little guy?" Andy was pleased to see that the little creature was unharmed and gently stroked a finger along it's head. It had become restless when it had changed hands, but the boy's efforts to calm it wor working, if not as well as Tsukasa's. Smiling again, he said, "It's a pleasure Tsukasa. I'm Andy."
Tsuki chuckled warmly at the boy, smiling softly at his amusing remarks. Surprisingly, she'd never found herself spending much time with those her age. One way or another, she was always spending time with adult 'taur, 'taur with too much to do and no time for fun... Why had she been subjecting herself to that?! Especially if, contrary to popular belief, there were other 'taur her age, she just had to come into the city to find them! "Nice t'meet you, too, Andy," the girl replied with a nod of the head before remembering a moment late, chuckling softly. "Ah! Right; Tsukasa's a bit of a mouthful, I recall, so if y'want, you can just call me Tsuki for short." After all, Andy and Tsukasa didn't sound like two people who could exist in the same time period, let alone communicate.
"Whew, I'm glad you shortened that down for me! Dunno what I would've done if I'd had to keep saying "Tsukasa." Andy said jokingly with a wink, before adding more soberly, "My full name's Andreas... Where do our parent's come up with these names?" He grinned. Andy very much enjoyed the company of other taurs, but it was a rare treat as he lived on the road with his mother and sister. Meeting another teen was an even better as, apart from his sister, he didn't know any others. Of course, this meant he didn't really know how to socialize with others his age, but it wasn't for lack of trying, "So... enjoying the festival?"
A laugh fell from the teenage cattaur's throat once more at the joke from the other, a grin coming to her lips even after the humor had passed. Geez, if she'd had known that spending time with her own age group would be so much fun, she would have done it years ago!! She rolled her eyes when she heard that his name wasn't so simple as well, groaning melodramatically. "The oldest texts they can find, I'd guess," she replied, chuckling softly.
When her enjoyment of the Festival was brought into question, she drooped just slightly, but cut away from that as soon as she noticed it, shrugging. "Eh. Can't say I'm enjoyin' it too terribly, though it's not bad by any means. Would'a been better with a chance to perform," she replied with a firm nod of her head, taking out a baton and tossing it in the air, catching it on her pinky and using the wind to make it jump onto each and every finger before falling back into the palm of her hand. Yet, with a sigh, she shrugged and returned it to its quiver. "Ah, well. Always next year, and I can't change a person's tastes. So what 'bout yourself? Enjoyin' it?"
Andy looked thoughtful, tilting his head to the side and causing his ears to flop slightly. "Somehow, I can't see my mother sitting around and reading dusty old books..." The thought made him chuckle slightly. Not that she wasn't an intelligent 'taur, but Aliena was a woman of action. Books just weren't her style.
"Perform?" He caught the movement of the baton out of the corner of his eye and his jaw dropped in awe as he watched Tsuki manipulate it and make it dance across her fingers. As she returned it to the quiver, the awe turned to delighted excitement, "Wow! How'd you do that? That's amazing!" His ears were pricked in interest and a bright grin was plastered across his face.
Tsukasa laughed at the comment as well, tail flipping behind her just a bit. "Y'know, I don't think it's quite m'own Mum's department to be readin' old books, either," she observed thoughtfully. Well, maybe she would, but she was more commonly obsessing over new and modern stories, particularly the silly romantic ones with buff males on the covers. They only ever made Tsuki laugh. Even when she tried to actually read them.
Tsukasa giggled at the awe from the other teen and bowed in a gracious manner, smiling brightly. Her ears tipped back, a happy and humble blush on her face. "Ah, just figured it out after pickin' up a few things here 'n' there. Well, that and the chance'a bein' blessed with wind magic and a lot'ta free time," she added, laughing in amusement before grinning at the other male, tail flipping back and forth with interest. "What 'bout yourself? Any talents I should know about, 'stead'a just braggin' 'bout my own?"
"Magic? That's awesome!" Andy exclaimed with a laugh. "I don't mind you braggin' at all. You know, if you've got it, flaunt it." He was most certainly blown away, so to speak. He casually crossed his arms and his tail whisked back and forth as he chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, no magic or hidden talents here. I know a couple basic card tricks, but they're nothin' special." His life on the road with his family didn't really allow for fostering any talents he might have had. However, when he was younger he'd met a nice wolftaur lady who'd shown him a couple simple tricks to amuse his little sister. He'd really taken to them and mastered them quickly, but had never had the time to develop and expand on those skills.
Tsukasa grinned, quite happy with all of the compliments that she was receiving from the splotchy young male, ears perked up on her sky blue hair. The addition of telling her that flaunting her magical prowess wasn't something that she should hold back on was the sort of thing that would make the girl's parent cringe, and was also exactly the type of advice she would take to heart. "Y'really think so? Alright, then I won't be hesitant in the future~ Though I've got'ta humbly say now: It is just natural for a cattaur t'have some kinda magic."
She listened to the other boy with interest, tail swishing lackadaisically from side-to-side behind her as she did so. At the comment of him having no real talent 'except', she grinned, wagging a finger in his direction. "Ah-ah-ah! If you're tellin' me to flaunt what I got, you should be doin' the very same. Simple card tricks or wind magic, a talent's a talent!"
"Of course." Andy nodded in agreement to her humble assertion that it's natural for a cattaur to have magic. He grinned, "Boasting too much is never good, but I see no reason to reason not to be proud of yourself and your talents." His ears flopped awkwardly sideways and he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly before continuing, "That said, my card tricks aren't really a talent; just something I picked up to amuse my sister. I don't even know that many... but I could show ya one if you'd like." He grinned eagerly, his ears pricking in excitement.

"Pssh, don't go sayin' stuff like that," Tsukasa said teasingly, winking at the other teenager and grinning in that way of her's. "After all, y'make people like me who can't do card tricks to save their lives feel bad about themselves." At the idea of being able to see one of these card tricks that he had brought up, she grinned happily, tail flicking a bit as her ears perked back up. "Oh, really?! Yeah, 'course, I'd love t'see one, Andy!!"

Being careful of the little creature's wings, Andy gently tucked the white bat into a wicker basket that had somehow managed to survive his spectacular flying demonstration. He then pulled a worn old second-hand deck of cards from his satchel and quickly shuffled them. The colors on the cards had faded and the edges were all slightly dog-eared, but while they were well-used, they'd also been well taken care of. With a sly grin, he fanned them out, face down, and held them out to her. "Pick a card, any card."
