Character Name: Spade
Race: Beastial
Class: Healer
Subtype: Armadillo
Element: Earth
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Family:
Bask- Father, 51. Bask is one of the tribes head workers. He is one of seven in charge of the mines. He spends most of his days digging high and low under the surface for things that could be useful, and or sold for profit. His personality is very laid back, but when he settles on something, he can become very hard to sway to other's opinions.
Farrah: Mother, 49. Farrah, like many women in the tribe, is a housewife. She spends most of her time tending to the house and the garden. Though quick of wit, she isn't easy or a pushover as her children found out. She makes sure to keep them and her husband in line when they need to be.
Trowel: Brother, 13. Trowel wants to learn magic, and become a wizard. But being bestial, besides innate magic, spell casting isn't common among their tribe. He is trying to be converted to liking the opportunity of digging life, like his father. But also like his father, his emotions don't sway to easy. And it's hard to make him listen once he made up his mind.
Pick: Brother, 3. Pick is the baby of the family. Very much needs to be cared for, and a close eye on him. Pick likes to travel and tends to get loose on occasion, leaving Spade, Trowel and Farrah frantic till they end up finding him.
Brum: Head healer, Master 154. Brum is the tribe's head healer. He took Spade in when she was about 19 years old, as his apprentice learning herbalism.
History:
Born just north of the Kiurek Desert, and on the border of the bestial forest, there is a small tribe of Dirtmen. They are called Dirtmen because a lot of the tribe is located underground and work in the ground as a living. Mostly made of up Rodent Beastial, like Mice, moles, porcupines, voles and rabbits. There are others present as well, such as Armadillos, anteaters, badgers, and occasional ferret. Most occupations of the tribe are diggers, sculptors, gem cutters, builders and herbalists. The larger, more aggressive bestial, like the badgers tend to be the more protective classes and guard and hunt for the rest of the tribe. The females are treated no less then the males of the tribe, but tend on average to prefer taking more docile roles in the tribe. But it is not uncommon to see heads of families being the female. Spade was born into this world. Spending most of her youth with her mother, learning to tend the gardens and take care of the house, she turned to learning herbalism from her mother. When Trowel was born, she took turns with her mother to take care of him, making sure that he stayed out of trouble. Their father was there often, to play with them both, making sure to spend as much time with his family while also keeping the mines up to speed. Once Trowel was old enough that he could be left to his own devices, and help out around the house, Spade became an apprentice to the head healer in the tribe. Often she made runs to the surface and gathered supplies for him. Between helping her mom and Trowel keep the house and garden nice, and her lessons and errands for Brum, she kept herself busy.
Present:
Brum has asked her to do him a favor and to attend a festival. He says that many people would be bringing strange plants from other locations, and he would like her to gather as much information and samples as she can on them. Excited to be allowed to travel so far, and with the encouragement from her father, she goes.
Personality:
Spade is a homely girl. Fond of plants and animals. She doesn't like seeing people get hurt and is always willing to help. She is a bit naive with other cultures, since she spent all her life in her tribe, but she is open minded. Though stubborn like her father, once her mind is made up on something, it is hard to sway her opinion. She has a bit of sarcasm she picked up from her mother, and a fascination with magic like her younger brother. Though she lived underground all the time, she is a clean freak. Preferring not to be messy or dirty. This stems from many days of her youth after a long time working in the garden, her mother pressed her to clean her paws and nose. Her mother was also a stickler for neatness in her room, so this heavily influenced her since she was young. Likes organization as well. She can't stand when things are messy and disorganized. She is compelled to fix it.
Appearance:
Clothed in simple dark red fabric around her self, she covers for decency. She is about 4'11 in height and weighs about 180 pounds roughly due to her natural body armor. She looks very sturdily built, with thicker limbs and covered in the armor that her bestial is known for. She has very little hair, most being short and on her stomach. Her overall coloring is a light brown. Her eyes are more of a deep chocolate color. Being similar to the nine-banded armadillo, she is covered in the armored carapace on all parts of her skin, though her back has the strongest armor. Her hands had four long clawed fingers, and her feet have 5-clawed toes. Although she looks very ridged and stiff, she is actually quite graceful due to the different bands on her back allowing quick movement although she looks incapable of it. She also has an armored tail that is rather long, and big ears on top of her head. Also on her neck, she bares a tattoo of her tribe.
