After a less-than satisfying meal of field mice and spiders, Celile rested herself in the shade of a healthy tree. She swept her pink tongue across her teal fur, ridding herself of the dirt it had accumulated during her hunt. She couldn't remember the last real bath she had since she started traveling across the rogue lands. All the water sources she's ever come across have been claimed by prides teaming with felines that she'd rather not associate with.
With a sigh the leopard returned her attention to the horizon. Vivid colors of pinks and purples scattered across the sky as the seemed sun to melt into the earth. The only thing Celile had ever admired about the sky were moments like these.

Humming down the dirt path Daktari enjoyed the cool breeze thread through his mane when he lifted his head upward. It was an enjoyable day and now night was upon the land. Night sounds slowly began to fill the night as soon as the moon rose in the sky. " Beautiful." Daktari looked upon the stars. It never seize to amaze him how such lovely things shone so high above.
Mismatched eyes looked around for a good place to settle down for the night. He needed to find some place soon, so in the morning he could get an early start on finding other felines or a place to settle down for good.

Celile's ears twitched towards the sound of an approaching creature. It was much too stealthy to be a canine... So it has to be a feline. If it was a cheetah... The leopard shifted, lifting herself into a defensive posture as the sounds got closer. Her eyes narrowed, piercing the descending darkness as Daktari came into view.
To her relief, it was a lion. A feminine-looking one, but it was a comforting sight nonetheless. Celile's face quickly softened, and she released a breath of alleviation. "Oh... hello." She said, a smile returning as she put on her most attractive voice. "You startled me a 'lil'..." She relaxed, sitting on her haunches as her tail flicked in an inviting manner as she awaited the male's reply.

Startled he first looked left then right but nothing was there. He knew he had heard a feminine voice and finally he looked up to spot said female laying on a tree branch. Beautiful blues adnore her fur, the color of the sky on a nice summer day. " Oh, hello to you as well. Sorry that I startled you." He sat down a little heavily and continued to look up at her. " My name is Daktari, nice to meet you!" He beamed up at her and blinked sleepily.
" What's your name? Are you from the roguelands or our your visiting? Are you alone? Or do you have family here?" Daktori continued to blabble on as he tend to do when meeting someone new.

Celile lacked any grace when she slid down the face of the tree. Bark crumbled away as her claws sliced through the wooden surface. Her landing incorporated a clumsy fall, as she lost her footing on her paws and nearly face-planted into the dirt. Regaining a suitable posture, the blush in her cheeks was vibrant. How embarrassing... I knew I shouldn't have tried to climb that tree.
"Well met Daktari. I like tha' name." She grinned, noticing his sleepy behavior. "Meh name's Celile. I'm from... well ... I never stay in one place fer very long. I like teh keep movin'." She chuckled at his wall of questions, deciding it wouldn't hurt to answer then all. "I'm alone, I prefer it tha' way. Though some company now and then is nice..." She moved closer, purring. "Wha' about yerself, Daktari? Have family, er somesuch mm?"

Daktari rushed up when Celile fell, hoping she was okay, he got closer inorder to help but found that she got up on her own. ' How adorable,' A charming smile came upon his face, ' Glad she is okay though, is she blushing? Ah she is poor thing.' He too got the attack of clumsyness every once in a while. Clearing his throat he spoke to her as she made her way closer to him.
" Celile? What a lovely name, has a nice roll of the tongue when you say it." He bowed slightly before continuing. " I see, you like being alone? Hm, I do and I don't. It is always nice to have a companion with you, especially when you are on adventures." He answered her purring with some of his own, though his was deeper almost like a rumble. " Sadly no I have no family that I know of, I was abandoned by them I suppose either that or they were killed." He frowned not liking that thought at all, well then again neither option was nice to think about. " I have no children either, though someday I hope I do. Its always nice to have little ones about."

Celile only blushed further as the lion rushed to her rescue. Others would only laugh and tease, that was awfully sweet of him. She sat leaning against his fluff of a mane, enjoying the powerful rumbling purr he made.
"Thank yeh, Daktari. I like it too, s'why I chose it." She smirked playfully, even though he probably couldn't see with her face in his mane like that. "Ah, tha's unfortunate..." A frown dug into her cheeks as he spoke of his family. "I s'pose most of us have a sort of sadness in our history... I had a son..." Her voice got quiet and distant as she remembered him. "I never got teh see him grow up though..." She sighed sadly, nuzzling into his mane as if to wipe the tears from her eyes.

Daktari thought the blushed that graced her face was quite comingly and as she lay next to him, leaning further in, he closed his eyes in contentment. He really enjoyed days like these, no worries of fighting for your life or fear of being attacked. Life in the rogue lands could be harsh, especially with his coloring. Pink was really a bit of a girly color, he had been mistaken for a female once. He had been lying down at the time, so his... attacker didn't see his mane. Boy was he surprised when Daktari had attacked back.
He was brought out of his internal thoughts by the mention of a son. ' How awful,' Daktari thought with sadness. ' To never see your child grow and be a part of their world. Did he pass away? Or did the child go with the father?' He wanted to ask but thought it was to personal so he allowed her to take comfort in his soft mane and purred twice as loud to let her know that he was there for her. Reaching a big paw over he rested on her head and brushed her head in comfort. " Yes, history makes us what we are today. For good or bad."

Celile gave a gentle nod, swiftly pulling away from the lion to give him a proper grin... though a little tear-stained.
"Thank yeh fer yer kind words, Daktari. Yeh really cheered up this gal's gloomy day." The leopardess chuckled to prove how much it's improved, and started to limp back towards the tree. She didn't tried to hide her crippled hind leg like she usually would. This lion seemed like the type to sympathize with her disability rather than shun her for it... it might even be a handy tool to get the fella to do her bidding. Hah!
With a plop, Celile fell to the earth below the tree and curled her tail in a "come hither" motion towards the pink lion... inviting him to join her under the tree.

Head tilted to the side Daktari looked at her come hither motion as though hypnotized. Realizing he had been starting for a few minutes without moving or responding, he shook himself quickly and wandered near. It was hot after all, and that little shade looked nice, also helped to have a pretty little thing in said shade too.
Daktari gave a relaxed sigh as he laid down next to Celile, a low rumble pouring off his body, and everyone once in a while flicked his tail lazily. After dozying for awhile Daktari felt content, it was nice and he was happy.
