A large house sat back away from everything, the land and home had been left empty for over a year now with no sign of life, even the surrounding wildlife has begun to avoid the place. But the residents had up and left and in quite a hurry. The owner of the house, Spica Hatashi had found herself threatened by those who had taken the lives of her family in her youth and through the efforts of a man who was at first a stranger they were able to escape and taken to a safe haven where she and all of her children fit quite easily. It was rough at first for the group but they settled in and even made friends and continued with their schooling.
It had been a long time before the threat passed and the hunters brought to justice, Spica soon married Lunarati and convinced him into going back to her house she had been forced to leave behind. The paint peeled a little at the edges, the lawn unkept and over grown, and the house was covered in a fine layer of dust inside and out. Two large van pulled unto the drive and parked just outside the front door and behind them a large moving truck followed and stopped as well. The eldest Kisho a handsome young man with a gold wedding band around his finger looked up to the place, he wasn't staying though. He and his wife had acquired a house of their own not far, he was merely acting as driver and planned to help move everyone back in.
Out of each van stepped Spica, her hair short in the back and long in the front as it always had been the dark striped markings darker than before even against her deeply tanned skin, she wore a loose tunic and dark denim skinny jeans with slip ons. Lunarati himself was more finely dressed in silken kimono-like shirt and well pressed pants, his silver-white hair tied back by Spica that reached down to his waist, his tan skin only made his hair and fur seem even whiter as he was an Arctic Kitsune with slanted gold eyes. With that the van doors all opened pouring out with the kids, from the oldest to the youngest of the bunch.

Minagi was ahead of the entire group with the key to the front door clenched tightly in her hand and one of her bags weighing down on her shoulder. She wore a short skirt and a tank and a small bow in her hair to pull back her bangs a little. She kept planning to cut her hair since it had grown back out, but she would worry about this later. Her hands shook as she pressed the key into it's home and turned it until a faint click came from the lock. With that the door opened with a groan as though waking from a deep sleep and protesting the awakening. It was dark inside, void of the light that once filled the house and the warmth that once came from every inch of the place. But now it was cold and seemed eerie and foreign. A slight shiver ran up her spine as she made the first steps inside and reached for the light switch bringing some life back into the place they had all called home.

A young boy with pale blue hair and tanned skin huffed in behind Minagi and looked around, noting the layer of dust over everything. "Ugh...this is going to take forever to clean up." he growled low in his throat, not something he looked forward to but once everything was out of the truck and their things in their rooms it was be the first course of action that would be taken. "Feels weird to be back here, you know..."

Minagi nodded, she felt out of place...one of her last memories was sitting on the couch in the living room with Kyou, where they had almost kissed. She wondered if he had a girlfriend by now, or if he had forgotten her when she disappeared from school or went looking for her. Swallowing hard she clenched the strap of her bag tightly and gave a worried sigh. "I'm going up to my room and drop this and then I'll be back for the rest of my stuff and help everyone else." she said without a glace at her brother.

The neko's eyes narrowed, "I know what you're thinking about Minagi...I don't see why you continue to be so hung up on him. It's not worth it." he hissed carefully, knowing the subject was a touchy one with Minagi.

Blue eyes shot a death glare back at Tsuyoi. "You shut your mouth or you're gonna have my foot in it. It's none of your business!" she spat and took off up the stairs to her room only to slam the door behind her and throw herself onto the bed as the tears came pouring out as the dam finally broke yet again. Looking up she saw a faded set of pictures from school, ones she had been forced to leave behind in their hurry. Herself and Kyou making faces at the camera, it had taken a lot to get him to do it, but it had finally worked and beneath them the photos of the martial arts tournament she had taken photos at for the school paper. Wiping her eyes and smearing her make-up even more Minagi sat up and picked the memories off the wall and held them in her hands. She wondered to herself if Kyou would ever forgive her.

-- Two Days Later --

The demon girl sat back on the couch playing with her phone, something else that had been left behind, with a good charge and the family phones all activated again she flipped through the numbers and pictures that had been stored on it. Her thumb ran across the screen where Kyou's sulky face stared at her with his number beneath it. It had been taunting her for a while now as she chewed her lip. While lost in her own thoughts and self torment a loud banging issued from the other side of the house making her jump and without realizing it hit the call button on the phone as she them dropped the phone unaware that at that moment the signal was being sent out from her phone to his, reaching out for that contact.
