 A wide-open rocky outcropping surrounds a shallow waterfall in this arena, providing elemental access for both Doton and Suiton users. The waterfall pours into a large, shallow pool, where the water ripples and smoothes like glass. A person's only two options are to stand upon the rocks, or stand knee-deep in the water.

Once she is drawn into a fight, she has a habit of taunting her opponent, goading them into making foolish mistakes. She dislikes being teased, and will turn cold and snappish if provoked.

Sayuri's true name has only been known by three people her entire life, not counting herself. She was born into the same family as her twin sister, Shayera, under the name Enix Nara. Upon Shayera's release from the hospital five years ago, and their fathers' death, the twins left their mother to live her own life, and went their separate ways. Sayuri has not seen Shayera since that night. Sayuri disappeared for several years after she last saw her sister, finally resurfacing outside of Kirigakure. She adopted the name Sayuri Hageshii, and completely changed herself to prevent anyone from her old life from finding her, including her twin. Since then, Sayuri has been fighting to find her sister and ease any tension between the two of them, having always been favored by their father. She has no idea that her sister vanished into the desert and has not been seen since.

Not much to tell. She grew up without very many friends. She studied a lot, to take her mind off of her friendless state. Because she was friendless, all the other kids thought she was stuck up, so they picked on her, causing her to withdraw into herself some more. When she was younger, they the kids banned together, and pushed her into a lake, but not knowing she couldn't swim, she drowned; but was saved by a mysterious shinobi, which caused her to want to become a ninja, herself. She isn’t a prodigy, but she has worked hard to become who she is today, in order to, hopefully meet the person that saved her life all those years ago.

"You'll never understand me..." xxxx"What a waste of my time,” Sayuri mumbled to herself as she stepped forward into the Waterfall Arena. A small cracking noise sounded through the lull that always took place before a fight as Sayuri tilted her head sharply from side to side, cracking her neck as she drew Kasaku no Yume, her 65-inch blade of folded steel. The runes inscribed on the ancient sword shone in the light, drawing one’s eye to the deadly weapon in the same way that it drew Sayuri’s eyes to it. Her azure-hued eyes traced quickly and carefully up the gleaming surface, a feral bloodlust clear in their sapphire depths.
In short, Sayuri was pissed. She was pissed that she was wasting her time fighting someone when she could have been doing something else, pissed that her opponent was a mystery. It was more satisfying to kill someone that she knew, more satisfying to watch his or her blood spill across the ground and see the extent of her true power. She blinked once, realizing that she had been stationary for a whole three seconds, and allowed her body to shift naturally into the stance of a fighter, both hands gripping her weapon."That's the whole point."

Freya stepped past the underbrush towards her destination. She already knew her opponent was there, her own chakra flaring in response to the ferocious anger. She bit the bottom of her lips as she neared the reverberation of the water. Taking another calculated step, she exited the dome of the trees, as luminosity of the sun reached her eyes, causing her to squint and extend her hand upward in an arch to cast a shadow on her eyes.
Her russet eyes took in the surroundings, calculating in the exact depth of the water, the moss covered rocks, the air, the length of the river from one side to another. Everything down to the last detail. Her eyes then landed on the girl. She was toned, and she could see slight bulging of muscles on her exposed stomach. She was a fighter. The exact opposite of Freya, unless she was provoked. Freya was tactical, but she had no idea how smart the other girl was. She could only assume she was the kind of girl that hit you first, and then asked questions later.
The brunette stepped toward the water and in it, until the water was halfway up her shin. Shifting her footing, so that she had a grip on the mushy sand bed below her feet, she looked at the girl, for a second, the muscles below her knuckle tightened, but then it was relaxed again. Her entire petite form was relaxed. She didn’t make a move, only stayed still waiting for the girl to attack her first. She would attack first; that was unconventional of her. The first move always signaled your opponent’s mental and physical strengths and weakness. So Freya waited, in the cool water, the slight breeze brushing her hair past her back, and starred.

"You'll never understand me..." xxxxCrossing her right foot over her left and shifting her weight by infinitesimal degrees, Sayuri took a calculated step towards the brunette across the arena from her, eyes glaring with a vicious ferocity that told the other girl that she was not here to mess around, and that one false move would have her head toppling from her shoulders into the shallow pool that Sayuri stepped into. The cool water washed up her legs and flooded her boots, engulfing part of her petite figure and enveloping her in her own element. She adjusted her stance and positioned her sword so the blade slanted across her body, protecting her in case Freya got any ideas. Her hands moved quickly, flashing their way through the hand signs for a jutsu. She felt her own chakra pool into her stomach and seamlessly combined her nonelemental chakra with the elemental chakra that lined her throat. Suddenly, with little to no warning, a jet of water expelled itself from her mouth, aiming for the other girl’s face.
Yes, it was a little childish, and yes, the other girl would probably get grossed out that Sayuri was essentially spitting at her, but Sayuri knew that it would trigger a reaction from the other girl. She slipped into a crouch, waiting for an opportune opening so she could close the distance between herself and the other girl. She was perfectly still, not even blinking or breathing for the milliseconds that the jet of water-infused chakra soared in a shallow arc through the air. Her sword, thankfully, was light enough for Sayuri to wield it one-handed as she placed her feet in such a way that she would be able to move quickly upon Freya’s reaction.
