Stereoscopic 3D Editing
Video editors can now create stereoscopic 3D projects utilizing the same workflow we’ve provided for 2D media! Vegas Pro 10 provides the ability to import, adjust, edit, preview, and output stereoscopic 3D media — all using industry standard professional delivery formats including single or dual files including side-by-side, top/bottom, or line-alternate encoding. Anaglyphic monitoring and output are also supported.
Comprehensive Closed Captioning
In addition to Vegas Pro’s industry-leading closed captioning workflow, Vegas Pro 10 supports import and export of Line 21 closed captioning, capture and print to tape of HD-SDI from AJA and Blackmagic Design cards, as well as support for standard closed captioning file types. Before delivering the final project, you can preview closed captioning data during the editing process to ensure correct placement and viewing experience.
GPU-Accelerated AVC Encoding
Editors using a CUDA-enabled NVIDIA® video card are able to encode to the Sony AVC format using GPU-accelerated rendering — providing improved AVC rendering performance and speed, ensuring final projects are published faster than ever before.
Image Stabilization
Enhance video by removing camera shake and rolling shutter. Developed in partnership with proDAD, image stabilization provides a smooth playback experience by reducing jittery or shaky video that sometimes occurs when shooting without a tripod or by using inexpensive portable pocket devices.
Audio Event FX
Vegas Pro 10 allows editors to assign audio effects at the master output, bus level, track level, and now the event level for greater flexibility when working with multitrack projects. Audio event effects provide more options and precise control over the placement of audio effects throughout the project.
Input Busses
Record, monitor, and mix audio from external devices with Vegas Pro 10 projects. Input busses provide the ability to record external hardware effects, mix external audio sources and effects processors, utilize complex internal audio effect chains, and monitor audio input with ease and precision.
Total control of your audio mix
Track Management
Vegas Pro 10 provides the ability to group tracks. Grouping tracks saves space on the timeline by providing collapsed tracks under a single header track. This is a quick and easy way to organize and manage complex projects by grouping specific sections of video/audio.
Updated Transport Controls
Updated Trimmer and Video Preview windows now provide transport controls. This allows you the freedom to edit with a more tactile approach, providing more intuitive and immediate command over your editing and improving the overall workflow.
Enhanced Video Plug-in Architecture
The new Video Effects Plug-in SDK (Software Developer’s Kit), based on the Open Effects Association platform, provides updated and enhanced technology that enables third-party plug-in developers to develop advanced video effect plug-ins more easily and rapidly. These additional plug-ins offer Vegas Pro 10 editors a wider variety of effects and special techniques for creating professional-level projects.
