It was strange but for some reason Drashi had been feeling better lately, ever since he had stumbled across -ok attacked rather- a beautiful mare of white and grey things had just seemed, well, that little bit brighter. He was smiling again, concentrating slightly better although the weight of everything that had happened, his failure as a brother and a mate would never leave him.
That was the reason why he found himself walking, he knew that Maion wouldn't mind if he left the herd lands, the chaos that had been born after two pure skinwalkers had entered their lands was starting to die down, just like every storm eventually past so would this. But that left Drashi with way too much time on his hooves, he was no longer needed for near constant observations of the borders... and even if he was Maion had made it very clear that he would not to overdo things. Drashi snorted at the idea. If only Maion knew everything? Maybe he did? The stallion had been like a father to him for years now, treating him with the same love and devotion that he did with his own blood children. But was that enough?
Just as that thought came to mind Drashi stumbled over a recently felled log, crashing to the ground with a 'thud' that echoed in his ears and made his heart race. He closed his eyes and started to mumble to himself as he accessed the damage, "Please don't let me have broken a leg.... thats the last thing I need right now...." Luckily everything was in working order, except maybe his ego that was heavily bruised right now.
Believing it was time for a short rest Drashi pulled himself off the path and towards the sound of water. His senses ever alert and expecting the worst.

 Serenity had gone home since she met the other stallion but she hadn't put too much thought into him since then. She loved meeting other soquili but the sad fact was that there was a good chance that they would never meet again. The lands were huge and Serenity wasn't exactly a traveling type anyway. Her family was well and that was all she hoped for. Serenity had a twin sister but she didn't need to ask how she was doing considering the two had this strange telepathic connection that allowed the other to know what they were feeling at the moment. It was a gift and a curse at the same time. The white and gray mare had let her hooves take control and she was wandering aimlessly. Serenity had a poor sense of direction but she knew that she would get home somehow. She had been zoning out frequently and if someone was close to her, she would not have had any idea. But Drashi's crash was loud enough to snap her to attention. "Huh?" Hearing the loud thud and someone talking to themselves, she rushed over to the source of the noise but then quickly realized that she knew this stallion. "Drashi?" The name came off of her tongue with ease even though she hadn't seen him in awhile. "Are you alright?" There was a touch of concern in her voice and she hoped that he wasn't hurt. Frowning at him, Serenity moved closer to see what had happened to him.

Drashi had only managed to pull himself up off the ground when a familar voice penetrated his throughts. Serenity. He turned his head instantly looking for her, a smile that could probably be considered dopey peeled upon his lips and he bowed his head in welcome to such a far maiden. "I am ok lady Serenity, I was just careless and missed the log while consumed in my own thoughts."
Truthfully Drashi had never suspected he would run into the creature again, especially not after how he had attacked her -he would never fully forgive himself for his actions. Perhaps this was natures way of providing him with an opportunity to make it up to her, to prove he was not a vicious animal who could not control his urge to fight, protect and attack?
Bringing himself up to his full size he stood proudly before her and smiled softly before speaking once more. "How are you Serenity? I hope you have been well and not fallen victum to any more attacked?"

Still gazing at him with a look of concern, Serenity really hoped he wasn't just saying that he was alright. She was rather familiar with that sense of male pride considering the family that she came from but hopefully that wasn't the case this time. "Well, let me take a look." Observing his legs first, she wanted to make sure that he didn't have any open wounds.
She looked up at him when she heard the questions and smiled softly. "I'm doing quite well. I have been better but I guess that's the way life is. And thankfully I'd like to report no to the attacks." Giggling softly, the mare hadn't told her family about the strange first meeting with Drashi. He didn't know it but Serenity had an immensely large family and very overprotective male influences in her life.
"And how have you been Drashi? I hope to hear that things have been well?"

As she inspected his injury Drashi found his cheeks flooding with colour... no one outside of his adopted parents had ever showed such concern, and the fact that it was Serenity didn't seem to help his blush in any way.
He coughed to clear his throat, not wanting to appear rude by not answering her questions. "I am glad.... you have been safe." He still hated himself for how he had reacted around her, the fact that he had attacked her without due cause went against everything he had ever been taught. Yet... at the same time he was thankful, for it had allowed him to meet her, something he probably wouldn't have done if he had noticed she was not a threat early and walked away.
The sound of her laughter brought a smile to his face, "What's so funny?" He found himself asking, genuinely curious.
With a soft nod he answered her question, "I have been.... well." The fact was he had been much better since he had met her, not quite so depressed and wallowing in his own self pity. He could never thank her enough for that. "My son returned...." he found himself saying, the memory of Xanthis visiting the herd with the intention to stay had been a shock, especially after he had left with his mother... Drashi had never hoped to see him again.
