 Left alone by his sister again, Falling Sky leaned against the trunk of a broken tree. He wondered what his closest friend, Hidden Terror, was doing. He often worried about her and her different personalities. Sighing, he hummed absent-mindedly to himself, nudging a stick with his hoof. He was terribly bored.
Looking up, glimpses of the sunlight streamed into the waterlogged terrain. Its warmth comforted the buck, but from the angle of the light-rays, he figured it wouldn't be long before the sun set...Sighing, he decided that spending the night alone wasn't going to happen tonight.
So he cried out, "HELP! Help, someone! Come quick! A crocodile is going to eat me! HELP!" at the top of his lungs. He even made it sound real, as if he was really scared! For kicks, he flailed his legs in the thick water. He smirked to himself. He was getting pretty good at this. No doubt someone would come running to him.

 Monochrome Dream was on her own, again. Not that she didn't mind it but sometimes it was lonely. She kept walking while keeping note of the lowering sun. It was around time to get herself something to eat and perhaps find a place to settle for the coming night. But those ideas didn't last long when she heard someone scream out. Another kimeti seemed to be in danger! Monochrome rushed towards the noise even though they warned of a crocodile. Those things were nasty but maybe she could help. Finally reaching the other she stopped. There was a lone buck flailing in the mud but no such danger. Her eyes squinted as she assessed the 'danger' for it was hard to tell the mud on the other from his coat. She was color blind so it was hard to tell. "That is one scary crocodile, huh?" She shook her head towards a branch on the ground near him.

Failling Falling Sky looked first at the doe that actually came. Her hair was curled and multicolored, something he had never seen before. Following the motion of her nod, he looked at the branch. I guess it kinda looked like a crocodile if one was half-blind. Standing up, he faced her and said, "Um...hi." and winced a little at how awkward he sounded and felt. He wasn't expecting such a cute doe to heed his call.
"I-I swear there was a croc here. But I uh. fought him off." he said, clearing his throat. Lying wasn't this hard before...

Again she studied him for a moment since he decided to look over her before speaking. It took her a moment to notice that he had hair as well! That was something she didn't see very often. Truthfully she had thought the branch to be a creature when she first arrived at the scene but was glad to realize it wasn't. That would have been embarrassing. Monochrome smiled a bit.
"Was there?" It was hard to make out if there had been tracks in the mud near him for her. So for all she could know he was telling the truth. "Glad I didn't pass it if there was one. Was it big?" Better be safe than sorry if there was one running around!

Falling Sky smiled. Everything going as planned! She was interested, if only slightly. But it filled him with joy that someone was talking to him! Grinning, he moved closer and said, "Why yes! It was gigantic. One of the biggest crocodiles I'd ever fought. For a moment I thought I was a goner, which is why I called for help. Better to suck up your pride and get help than end up dead, right? But suddenly my second wind kicked in and I was able to drive it off. He won't be back soon." he said, lifting his chin a little to look heroic.

Monochrome squinted as she looked around. "Gigantic? Really? It looks like it got out of here really quick though." She looked back to the stallion. "How'd you get rid of it then, you must be strong to have done that." Again she glanced around but really couldn't see anything in this light or with all this mud. "Oh! I'm Monochrome Dream."

Questions! Gah.. Falling Sky wondered how long he could keep the story going. I guess it was...a challenge? Either way, he had to think of something quick, or else she'd get bored. Leave. Find out? Panicking, he picked the first thing he saw. A large rock.
"I tore up a big rock..and dropped it on his head!" he said, nodding towards the rock for a size reference. A kimeti could pick it up, he guessed. A really strong..big..kimeti...Changing the subject before she could reply, he gave her his name in return.
"My name is Falling Sky. Monochrome Dream is a nice name!" he said, his voice softening as he tried to move the subject away from his false story. Why did he suddenly feel guilty for lying? She seemed to believe him.. Maybe that's why.
