UPDATE 10/19/10: THE OFFICIAL THREAD IS OPEN.
UPDATE 10/6/10: I'VE TRIED TO BETTER CLARIFY THE FIGHTING SYSTEM. ALSO, A HEALING SYSTEM HAS BEEN ADDED. CHECK A FEW POSTS DOWN.
UPDATE 10/4/10: A BOSS BATTLE WILL BE GOING ON AT 7:45PM EST TONIGHT! MAKE SURE YOU AND A BUNCH OF USERS SHOW UP AROUND THAT TIME!
EDIT: AFTER OUR 24 HOUR TRIAL PERIOD, PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED TO USERS WHO DEFEAT THE GHOSTBOTS. ALL WHO HAVE ALREADY DEFEATED A GHOSTBOT, EXPECT TO RECEIVE YOUR PRIZE(S).
DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING TOO FANCY THOUGH, IT'S EASY TO DEFEAT A GHOSTBOT SO EXPECT ITEMS WORTH AROUND 10-20K FOR EACH ONE YOU DEFEAT.
WE AT THE ZURG HIVE HAVE BEEN DOING A LITTLE EXPERIMENTING FOR HALLOWEEN. YOU SEE, WE HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTING A BATTLE SYSTEM TO USE AND... WELL... WE'D LIKE Z!CB TO BE A PART OF THE OPEN BETA PROCESS.

FIGHTING RULES: SIMPLY ROLL 1 20 SIDED DICE AND DECLARE YOUR TARGET.
YOU HAVE 40 HP
IT REPLENISHES WHEN YOU DEFEAT AN ENEMY.
IF YOU ARE DEFEATED, YOU DON'T LOSE THE GAME PERMANENTLY, YOUR JUST NOT ALLOWED TO ATTACK THAT ENEMY ANYMORE.
BEGIN WHEN YOU ARE READY.

DA RULES:
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION, SINCE THIS IS OPEN BETA FOR THE EVENT, WE ARE NOT ACTUALLY GIVING OUT PRIZES DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST, PRIZES HAVE STARTED BEING GIVEN.
YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF BEING EITHER AN ENEMY OR A USER. YOU CAN SWITCH SIDES AFTER A BATTLE, BUT YOU CAN'T BE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME.
EACH PLAYER HAS 40 HP
1. First things first, you post in the thread, you post and you post and you post and you post and you post!
2. As more people post, enemies will start to appear! Be careful though, some enemies are tougher than others!
3. Roll 1 (20 Sided) dice, whatever you got as a number is how much damage you have dealt to the enemy! You don't have any limit to how many times you can attack an enemy, so just keep rolling as much as you can!
4. When an enemy is defeated, you get a prize! HOORAY, a prize! If you took the enemy out all on your own, your prize will be of better quality! If a team had to take out the enemy, then that prizes value drops for each user that took part in defeating it. That's why being greedy is encouraged!
5. When YOU are defeated, you don't stop playing, you just can't attack the enemy that killed you any more! What do we look like, jerks?
6. Bosses are a special case. Everybody gets full credit when they defeat a Boss. Bosses don't come out unless the thread is REALLY active though, so for the love of moof, KEEP POSTING!

All users have 40 health.The basics of a ghostbot!  For when you want to play the enemy, I have constructed a template right here. FIGHTING:Still don't understand the fighting basics? Alright! I guess we have no choice but to show you! TO FIGHT: Roll 1 20-sided dice. In your dice-rolling post, proclaim your target (preferably the username of the target since more than one ghostbot can be on the prowl). Whatever the number you get is the amount of damage you are currently doing to your target. Get that targets health to 0 to win a prize! It also helps to keep track of your health by posting it consecutively. HELPFUL TIPS:*Swarming is a good strategy for both Ghostbots AND Players. When given the chance, never pass up a perfectly good opportunity to swarm! Sure the prize may lessen in value, but your target is assured to be defeated!
*Have two windows open, always make sure you have a "REPLY TO TOPIC" window open for speedy damage dealings.
*A good way to get the jump on an enemy is to wait for them to become vulnerable, then jump out and attack!

HEALING:
Players may choose to target other players instead of an enemy while rolling their dice. If they do this, their targets health rises by whatever the number they rolled was.
Say your friends health is 20 and you roll a 10 while calling their name.
Automatically your friends health will become a 30.
There is a downside. Unless the player healing has successfully attacked the active Ghostbot, they do not receive a prize. Healing alone will not grant you prizes.
