 Charlotte had managed to get herself thoroughly lost in the dense forest. She was sure that if she just kept walking in a straight direction that she was bound to come out into atleast a clearing. All this shady trees and such were rather a bother concidering she had tripped quite a few times over low branches and fallen logs. And given that it had rained, all of the leaves on the ground that were slippery were proving to provide the worst sort of nonexsistant traction. Charlotte had just managed to dantily step over a fallen log when she misplaced a back hoof and it sliped out from under her and the rest of her followed. She landed on the wet leaves with a painful thud and squelch, indicating mud. Lovely!
Charlote managed to get herself up and looked herself over. Mud covered her left side in wet, sticky patches. it was most uncomfortable. She was suddenly wishing it was dry out and not a cloudy, rainy day. At the moment, a dry place sounded lovely.....of course..after she got the mud from her side. She sighed miserably and watched where she placed her next few steps.

Billy was out this day exploring. He'd left his parents and brother behind to go off on his own for a bit. The stallion always found his way back to them though, he disliked being alone. Today he was making his way through a forest they lived by, one he knew quite well. Wasn't sure what he was looking for but he would know when he found it.
It has rained recently and all the mud was getting stuck in the large stallion's feathering. Normally he liked being a draft like his mother but disliked the fluffyness, which is best friend Thrall loved to make fun of. He shook out his legs once but didn't see much of a difference against his brown coat. Though not long into his walk he saw tracks! Another soquili was about and he was off to find them now. Billy was interested in who was in this forest and set off after them.
Eventually he came upon the mare, purple and brown? No, purple with mud all over her. He grinned and watched her for a moment. She seemed lost, or just didn't care where she was going. "You lost?"

Charlotte jumped at the voice behind her. She had been so preocupied with the state of her coat and placing her hooves in the corect places that she hadn't realized anyone had come upon her. Startled wide eyes found the source of the voice and had to tip her head up a little to see into their face. She was just making a mental note that there were stallions out there larger than her brother when she remembered he had asked her a question. She blushed furiously for stareing at him so long, but then grinned. "Hello!" and then paused.."No...well yes as a matter of fact I am indeed....lost." She looked arround her at the unfamiliar woods, and then back to the stallion. "I'm Charlotte." She grinned.

Billy got closer and was humored that she was just staring at him. Was it his size? His fluffyness? Probably his fluffyness... He grinned. "Well hi. You want some help? Where are you going." Might as well help or something. "I'm Billy: the Kid, just call me Billy though." Being closer now he looked her over once. She seemed to indeed be covered in mud. "Have some trouble with mud there?"

Charlotte smiled and nodded. "So Im not calling you Kid then?" She giggled slightly but stopped. "Oh, I didn't mean to laugh...or poke fun..." She hoped he wasn't mad at her, that would be terribly awfull, as they just met.
"You know, I'm not actually going anywhere I just don't know where I am." She grinned up at him and started at his next words. "Mud?" She had forgotten shed sliped in the mud but then as she tok a step and felt the cakeyness there she remembered. "Oh! Right! Yeah, it was slippery and I hadn't realized. My back hoof slipped and SPLAT in the mud." She looked dismally at her muddy side. "You know, since I don't know where I am or where I'm going to go for that matter, would you happen to know where i could go to get this mud off?" And once again she was peering up at him with her odd violet-pink eyes as to see his face.

Billy scoffed at the idea of being called kid. His friend Thrall called him names, he wouldn't want that added to it. "Gods no, Billy is just fine." At least this mare had some sort of sense of humor around her. Such an interesting mare this was turning out to be. Didn't have a place in mind to go? He nodded. "That I can help with, there is a river just over this way." Billy motioned his head to his left. "I can show you if you like!"

Charlotte giggled and apologized once more and nodded her head. "It would probably be best if you showed me the way." She gave him a half smile and a shrug. "If I went on my own I probably wouldn't see it until next week." She giggled, but stopped almost immediately. "It really shouldn't be funny because its the truth...but it is. A little sad really..." She shook her head and in doing so her eye caught sight of a tree with bright yellow, orange, and red leaves. "Oh! That tree looks like a blazing fire doesn't it?" And she nodded toward said tree, grinning.
