Morin circled over head in the sky. He had definitely had an interesting few months. First he had met a beautiful but enigmatic Phim like himself named Kitsumi. However before he could really figure out his feelings Kitsumi had all but disappeared. He had thought he could cure the boredom by finding a new source of entertainment which he had in the form of a small shy modifox by the name of kito. The only problem was Kito came with a rather large and nasty sadistic tempered Modidaeva who eventually had kits. While the kits had been adorable and fun to take and taunt the daeva with eventually they had grown up and left to leave their own lives. Morin had taken to the skies again hoping to find some other way to pass his time. He thought he had found it in his new tribe. Definitely a strange place for a phim to be as it happened to be a group of thieves but Morin always did like being rather cryptic and not bound to the stereotypes of the other phims. So for the time being he was hanging around their lands seeing as if they might be a place for him to finally settle down. Even though right now here he was at the very edges of tribe land on the top of some cliff drop, the tribe wasn’t very sociable people and some times he just needed to get away from everyone.

Anila was traveling along the cliff edge flying low to the ground so that if her wings locked up again she could land without having to use a modifox for a cushion. She liked Marcus but hadn't seen him for a while. It bothered her a bit. She didn't have many friends to speak with and Marcus was fun to talk to. Anila tried to clear her thoughts and simple let the wind carry her. She beat her wings harder in determination not to think about Marcus right now. The result was that Anila suddenly shot up high in the air without Anila consciously realizing it. When she finally shook herself from her musing she was well above the altitude she wanted and was shocked. The view of the water and cliff side was dazzling but Anila's thoughts were of her imminent plummeting to her death her wings locked up now. She tried to lower herself and maintain control.

Morin suddenly blinked and looked down just a few feet below him. It was another modiphim who seemed to have trouble flying. He frowned wondering why the female by the looks of the tail and hair, was having so much problems. Morin thought flying was some thing engraved in all modiphims. However he supposed she could have some sort of wing problem. He slowly turned around so his head was angling the ground to drop down and help her. If she keep panicking her wings would lock up and she would plummet to her death. Well not necessarily if she did freak out Morin could catch her in a dive slowly the force of their fall and angling them to crash into the ocean, slightly painful but it was better than crashing at a high speed on the beach. sighing he decided to see what was going on and starting the dive down to talk to her.

Anila noticed something come down toward her and she turned her head up to see whatever it was. A black and gray phim was headed down toward her. She gasped and started to flounder in the air. She flapped her wings to keep them from locking up but still ended up tumbling downward. Her heart felt as if it was in her throat.
Oh no, oh no! What am I gonna do now? AIIIHHHHh!!!!

Morin sighed and quickly caught up with her. "Hey calm down, if you keep freaking out like this you are going to lock up your wings and even though I thought out a plan to stop you from falling to your death. I dont like sea water. I'm not going to do anything calm down." he pointed out in a soft voice. His first impression of the girl phim was she seemed to be a bit skid-dish. " we still have a few seconds before we hit the ground. Take calm deep breaths okay. Close your eyes and let your wings take care of you."

Anila took a deep breath and held it in closing her eyes. Somehow when she had her eyes closed she found a way to shut out the rest of the world. Her instincts took over and he body reacted unconsciously. Her wings snapped open to their full length and she straightened herself out in the air. She peeked threw one eye and felt herself wavering in the air again so she quickly shut her eyes again completely. The problem now was how to land with her eyes closed. Maybe if I drop low enough to the Cliffside I can land on the cliff top.. It’ll be ruff but better then dying. Umm.. excuse me? I hate to bother you but could you lead me to the Cliffside If I get down low enough like I was before I can land and I’ll be ok.

Morin chuckled a bit and shook his head. "Yeah I can help you down. Lets just take it one moment at a time." he slowly began helping her down until they where at a more manageable level. "We're about where you where before" Morin told her wondering what his tribe would say if they could see him now. He wasn't actually one of the members that stole anything but his job was more to sweet talk and dissuade all the other foxes that dared to come near the land. However he did like helping other foxes in trouble.

Oh thank you very much Sir! Anila was very grateful for the assistance. To be honest she wasn’t sure if she would have been able to get down without incident on her own. She opened her eyes just a smidgen. Barley managing to keep herself steady she decides to land. Making to the actual ground she lands with a soft thumb on a rather rocky section of the cliffs. She pulls a few stones from under where her feet landed. She wasn’t really hurt but she was annoyed with herself. I should be able to do better than this! She turned and looked up at the male who helped her. She blinked. He was handsome! She couldn’t help but blush, then she blushed harder when she thought of Marcus seeing her blushing like she was now.

“Ah well you look like you needed help” Morin stated. “I may be from the Harami tribe but I’m not about to watch some one plummet to their death. He watched when she landed and bit his lip showing a slight bit of fang before noticing she seemed to be looking at him for the first time. He blinked right back and developed a rather clueless look as she seemed to turn bright red. Well this female was definitely interesting. He shook his head and went back to his earlier thoughts. “Um out of curiosity you don’t fly much do you?” Morin asked waiting to continue till after she had answered.

Harami? Was that a tribe? What did they do? Anila was about to ask when the male had asked her a question first. Anila hung her head, her ears and wings dropped. N-no Sir, I don’t spend a lot in the air. Anila was embarrassed and ashamed. Phims were supposed to be fliers weren’t they? Here she was a Phim and she hardly flew at all.
Lifting her head up she tried to smile though. Even though I don’t fly much I still like being in the air. I’m pretty good at climbing trees and things like that. My name is Anila by the way sir, I apologize for not introducing myself before.

Morin nodded having his suspicions confirmed. He shook his head when she seemed embarrassed she didn’t really know how to fly all that well. She was definitely different than Kitsumi. Kitsumi was rather harsh at times and sadistically playful at others. Sort of like a Daeva with bird wings. Of course he hadn’t really met many phims and had heard they where a bit lighter than Kitsumi and himself. “Don’t be embarrassed. There are problems everyone has that needed to be worked on. So what if you can’t fly really well right now? You just need more practice and a few pointers and you’ll be flying up in the sky with the rest of us. ”He told her. “Oh no need to worry Anila, you where a bit busy recovering from earlier so I take no offense. I haven’t really given my name out either; I’m Morin.”

Thank you Sir- ah Morin. Anila tasted the feel of the males name on her tongue it was unusual but not unpleasant. She was comforted by his words on her inexperience in flying as well as his kind dismissal of her earlier rudeness. Mr. Morin you mentioned this being Harami land. What does that mean exactly? Am I not supposed to be here? Anila glanced around nervously before looking back to Morin. You won’t get in trouble for helping me are you? Anila's ears flicked forward as she looked worriedly at Morin thinking that she might have just signed him up for a punishment that he certainly didn't deserve simply for helping a stranger.

Morin laughed and shook his head. He doubted he would get in trouble and even then it was always good to be a phim and escape. “Ah yes I did mention Harami. Harami is sort of a tribe of thieves. It’s my job to keep people off the land, but I won’t get in trouble for you being here. As long as I keep you away from the heart of the tribe where everyone gathers it should be fine. Even so it’s my job to persuade people to believe what ever I wanted them to believe.... not that I would try those particular skills on you Miss Anila” Morin said and inwardly rolled his eyes. ‘Miss Anila? Where in the world did that come from’ he thought. “Would you like me to help you get comfortable flying again? I’ve already done all my scouting for the day.”

A tribe of thieves? Anila simply took in the information without judging Morin. They must have their own reasons to be thieves. I hope they do ok for themselves and don’t end up in trouble with the other tribes. Judging from how Morin acts the others can’t be too bad. After all what kind of mean tribe had such a gentle and kind guardian? Anila blinked when Morin called her “Miss Anila”. You are certainly very nice fox, I think that you wouldn’t have a problem convincing people to leave or do anything you wanted without much trouble at all. Anila smiled pleasantly meaning every word of what she said. She had no patronizing tone or gesture, only genuine sincerity. The idea that Morin might ever use those skills for anything that could be considered less then honorable was completely beyond her. I would love your assistance if you are willing to give it Mr. Morin. As long as I’m not too much of a hindrance to your time.
(wow Anila feels a lot ditsier then I originally had her in my mind.odd. I blame Morin. or Marcus.. maybe both of them. >.<)

Morin inwardly smirked. He normally did have an easy time of persuading people off Harami lands mostly because no one knew this was Harami lands. Of course there was those that where a little more fun to play with as they where stubborn and he could play with their minds. A good example would be his friend Kito; he was very nice and polite too. Sort of like how he was being with Anila. Then there was Kito’s friend Arginitie, that particular daeva brought out the most cryptic and devious side of his nature. “Ah, you do not have to worry about that. As of recently I find I have a lot of free time on my hands you do not have to worry about taking it up” he responded back.
