Sailor Rosalind darted away from Chaonis and into an obscure alleyway (how safe!) so that she could de-transform into Elegancia d'Strella, her civilian identity. It hadn't really occurred to her, until right at that moment, what had happened prior to the battle. First off, the limousine was destroyed. Second, her chauffer had ran away like the milquetoast he truly was (he was so fired, by the way), and lastly, she was now going to miss her spa appointment. To add insult to injury, it began to rain, just like in those ironic scenes in the movies. How wonderful.
Now Elegancia d'Strella, the loveliest girl in Destiny City, she made do with a quaint little nail shop that she happened upon, called "Dragon Nail." It was not five-star or anything like that, but it was raining, and they did nails, so it worked. She wrung her hair out just a bit, signed in, and took a seat. It was such a strange feeling-- surreal, almost-- to be amongst real poor people. Elegancia felt like everyone was staring at her for being prettier and richer than everyone else, but in reality, no one really cared. She was just another brick in the wall.
As she sat, waiting to be served, Elegancia pondered upon herself as a sailor scout, and all the other ones she had met so far. They were all so vastly different-- some were good, such as herself, and then some were bad, such as the one she had just met a few minutes prior. Was there no quality control to be had amongst sailor soldiers? Initially, Elegancia thought that only fine, upstanding citizens of quality could become sailor scout, but apparently not.
The few soldiers she had met-- those being Sailors Taranis, Chaonis, Perseus and MuCephei-- were each extremely... Unique, in their own ways. Taranis and Chaonis were both awful, ungentlemanly boys who lacked manners. They were hardly scouts of quality that made horrible role models. Perseus was on the same level as she was, so Elegancia couldn't say much, although she actually liked the patrols that the two of them went on. She was like a sailor-sister, or something. MuCephei was absolutely gorgeous and immaculately elegant, calm in even the toughest of situations. Elegancia aspired to be a scout like she was one day-- but she could only hope.
What it came down to was, what was the defining quality of a Sailor Scout? What was the common thread, the link between them? Were they all "created equally"? It was baffling-- regular citizens certainly were not, as some were more beautiful than others, some richer, some uglier, some poorer... So, was it the same for the scout? She continued to mull things over, her senshidom, until she was called up for her nails to be worked on.
Oh well, it wasn't important. She knew she was (probably) better than most-- in terms of being a sailor scout and a civilian.
