The guild of Artifacts
The most recently formed of the guilds, Artifacts acts as the ‘history keepers’ of the Multiverse. They procure (through various, sometimes frowned upon ways) innumerable artifacts for safe-keeping, with vaults nearly 100 miles below the main building for the more precious of items. The guild also maintains as detailed a record of history as they are able, while remaining as neutral as possible to fit their role as representatives of the House of Twilight. These volumes, some of which go back millennia, are duplicated and kept in various places both in the Artifacts Keep, in the Vaults, as well as in hidden keepsakes far from the guild in the unfortunate instance that all the other copies should be destroyed.
Since many of the members of the guild are tasked with the collection of artifacts, storage pendants, which are capable of holding a set amount, depending on the bearer’s privilege are given out upon induction into the guild. In the interest of protecting the guild, should the pendant be separated from its owner, it returns to a simple stone until the time when the owner reclaims it.
Upon Chaos’ rise to power, many of the Guild officials sealed themselves in the vaults deep underground without informing the lower ranks, leaving the majority of the guild to the usurper’s might while they stayed more or less safe deep in the Earth.
