Dark Mercury and Plum have been very busy makin' babies and they'd like to share one orb with you! Orb number 2 needs a loving home and here's how you can help!
Just write a story about finding Mercury and Plum's lost little orb. It seems to have rolled away in the pasture! Oh noes! It can be you, your avatar, an OC or another pony that finds the orb, just make it creative and fun to read! Kasumi and I will read over all the entries and then select the ones we like the best!
This contest will end on: Friday, October 1st and we'll select the winners!

With a tilt of her head, Lyra peered back towards her flanks. Eyes squinted, ears flattened, she stared at the undulating, glittering orb trailing behind her like it was the plague following her.
She wasn't completely sure how it happened, but Seraphim worked in.. mysterious ways. One day, she's alone in her pasture and the next there's this... blob following after her, as if it's glued to her tail.
Lyra tried to lose it, so many times, by flying high in the air; by running circles around trees in the forest outside the pasture; even by kicking it (though not hard!) in an attempt to nudge it juuuuu-uust far enough away from her to where she thought she could get away.
But nope. This orb, this pink and sparkly orb, was apparently hers -- it followed her with an imaginary tether no matter where she went.
So imagine her surprise, while exploring the woods (and totally not trying to un-stick the pink orb from her bum!), when Lyra..
...stumbled upon...
...a second orb.
For a moment, a flash of jealousy ran through her. Another pony has an orb AND THEY GOT AWAY FROM IT!??! But it passed, and quickly, when curiosity took over.
Once she was finished glaring at her own orb, all pink and silvery, she stepped carefully over the fallen leaves on the ground to nose slightly at the purple orb floating all alone. She nudged it once and it shuddered, then she nudged it again and something inside it seemed to nudge back at her.
"Nn..." she said aloud, apparently speaking to the two orbs around her. With as much of a shrug as a pony could muster, she dipped her head and gingerly moved the unfamiliar orb backwards. Pushing it so it could eerily float next to the one she was already stuck with.
"What's one more?" And she turned, dragging both orbs along with her.

Walks and Spiral wander down the path, toward a grove of plum trees. He'd been headed towards the berry patch when Spiral mentioned how sweet the plums were. In a flash Walks had changed his mind. Sure he'd never had them, but he was up to try any new food at least once. Especially if it was sweet.Walking slightly behind her friend, Spiral smiles. Once Walks gets his mind set, nothing can change it. Unless he didn't realize it was being changed for him. Not that a visit to the berry patch would be bad, on most days. But there were bees out today setting up a hive, no doubt. So to keep his curiosity from getting him stung, Spiral had slipped in a word about plums.
Spiral pulls her thoughts back to the present just in time to keep from running into Walks. "Hey, why'd you stop?" she asks, coming around him to see what he was nosing.Walks pays no attention to Spiral at first, being too busy sniffing at a round and purple object. He gives it a gentle shove with his muzzle. "It's a plum. I think. But how'd it get here?" He looks up at Spiral, confusion in his eyes. Now that he's moved, Spiral can see what got his interest. The shock of what it is pushes what she'd been about to say right from her head. She nudges Walks over, then lowers herself down to the ground. Protectively, she places both front legs on either side of it. "Silly boy, it's not a plum, it's an Orb." she says, nuzzling the small sphere.More confusion, why is Spiral getting possessive over a plu.. "Wait. Orb?! But where's it's parents? It can't just be here all alone.. can it?" Walks knew of Orbs, of course, but he'd never so much as seen one before now. This left him completely clueless about anything other then the fact that ponies hatch from them."I dunno where it's parents are, it's lost." ..or abandoned. she adds silently. A thought she will not voice to Walks, it would upset him to think a pony wouldn't want his or her child. "So until we find the parents, we'll take care of it. Or I will and you can look for them." she amends, remembering the near disaster that was the baby rabbit Walks tried to adopt.Nodding, Walks comes closer, bending down to inspect the Orb again. "Sounds good to me, I'll go now. Not sure how I'd know, except that they'd have to be purple and blue and might have other Orbs, right?" This piles more questions into his head, but Walks shakes them away. At the very least he has a starting point, small though it is."Yes, purple and blue. Possibly other colors and Orbs, too. Ask around, someone will know if anyone has had Orbs and lost one." She looks up at Walks and gives him a soft head butt. "Good luck."Walks presses his forehead to her's for a moment, then turns and heads off. Hopefully he'll be able to find the parents before the Orb hatches. It would be sad for the baby to not have his or her parents around at the start of life.((If I manage to win I'd like to name him/her Mithuna ))

Evigilo makes his rounds, around Praeclarus Pastures. He makes sure the new welcome sign looks good, and checks the new stable progress. He makes his way to the lake, today he is thinking about all the rumors from other pastures about Seraphim giving out orbs like the sun shines. He really wished he could get his own. Through out his whole life he dreamed of a large family. That's why he built this pasture, so he could build a home. For now all who live here are misfits, they don't really fit in so they come here. He loves them all, even the Pirate that comes and goes. But what he really wants is his own orb to raise.
Day dreaming, Evigilo makes his way around the lake whien all of a sudden he sees a purple haze coming from the cats tail reeds by the edge of the lake. He walks over only to find an orb. Shocked at first he kinda looks at it, thinking, did someone really abandon this here?
All of a sudden he turns and gallops towards his stable, when he gets into his section he picks up his softest blanket and gallops back. He swaths the orb in his blanket and carefully caries it back to his bed.
"I don't know who left you here, but I am going to be the best adopted father you will ever have. Who knows, maybe you will bring happiness to Mag as well. No matter what, you will fit right in here" Evigilo continues to wisper to the orb softly.
When he gets back to his bed he lays down and places the orb next to him to keep it warm, he can swear he hears a faint heartbeat. He nuzzles the orb and falls back asleep for a little.
Right before he falls a sleep he whispers "Alegrio"

*Plumems whistled as she strolled through the guild, doing her usual rounds to make sure everything was in order when out of the corner of her eye she saw something shimmer*
"What could that be..."
They always said curiosity killed the cat but she just couldn't stop herself from venturing over to take a closer look at the object that peaked her interest.
"A PONY ORB?!?!?!?!?!?! SWEET MOTHER OF MYSTERY!!" She looked left and then right, no one was around.. Who could have left this here? Well.. she couldn't very well leave it here, it was so cute and orb-like and if it was left here then obviously no one else wanted it, right?
She nodded once, bending down to pick up the orb, stuffing it under her shirt before shuffling away. "Mine?"
