With a grunt he nudged the last of his luggage into the room, glancing around briefly before collapsing onto the one of the two beds in the room that didn't seem as though it had ever been occupied. Hauling all of that s**t up two flights of stairs had been more than enough movement for the moment even for an athlete such as himself. Didn't Hillworth Academy believe in -elevators-? Of course not. It wasn't like any of their ruffians ever got hurt, or broke bones, or hade reasons for why they couldn't handle lugging a trunk and two large suitcases up stairs.

He snorted as he rubbed at the bridge of his nose, groaning softly as he shifted just enough to stretch. His muscles were going to ache come morning.

He had heard there would be someone moving into his room and hadn't been less than pleased. He wasn't known for being social, and after the fiasco of the mall he felt even less so, and didn't want to have to room with someone he knew nothing about. What was worse was that it would be someone who belonged at Hillworth. Gods knew what sort of trouble that would cause. He had made himself scarce hoping that he could miss whoever it was. He wasn't helping someone move and risk getting himself dirty.

Eventually he ran out of book to read and headed back to his room to get another one. Maybe whoever had come would be too busy unpacking to bother with him while he grabbed a book and ran.

He had eventually pushed himself up so that he could start unpacking his things, leaving his trunk at the foot of his bed in favor of grabbing his suitcase. He hung his uniforms up in the closet, neatly pressed and then went to prod at one of the dressers, determined to figure out whether or not He'd be able to put any of his things in either of them or if he'd have to wait until his roommate returned so that they could work out some sort of arrangement.

He'd kept most of his things in the dresser closest to his bed and his closet since he hadn't brought much with him. He had figured anything he really needed he'd have or he would be able to buy for himself once he was settled outside a dorm somewhere

Heading upstairs and sighed as he saw the door open. So much for the threat of a room mate being a dream. Shaking his head he pushed the door open and headed straight for the small bookshelf he'd stuck beside his desk. Maybe he would be ignored.

He glanced over his shoulder as he heard movement, pausing in his rummaging in order to take a good look at the other young man, eventually crossing his arms over his chest. "So you don't do much in the way of saying 'hi' when you walk in and find people in your room?"

He looked up for a moment and shook his head. Quickly he returned his attention to the bookshelf and replaced the book he had taken with him and flicked another out of place. He could take that one out to the ... anywhere that wasn't here.

"My name's Rik... Rikard, actually, but that sounds a tad too close to 'Picard' for my liking and I'm not much of a Star Trek fan." He made his way over to where the other boy was, leaning idly against the book shelf. "And you're...?" HIs brow lofted. "They didn't give me your name when they gave me the tour... Actually, there really wasn't much of a tour either. It was more 'Welcome to hell, here's your room assignment'. Is it always like that here?"

"...." He -really- hated talking to people and his new roommate, Rik, already seemed like he was going to be a problem in that department. "... Lucian, and yes."

What was he suppose to tell him? He hadn't had much time to get used to the school and even if he had he wouldn't have. He didn't want to be there and was just focused on finishing his classes as quickly and efficiently as possible.

"Nice to meet you, Lucian." He smirked, eying the other young man for a moment longer before slipping away from the book shelf, still talking as he headed back over to his bed to finish emptying out the suitcase. "So. Are you one of the boys who belongs here or is this all just as much of a nightmare for you as it's, no doubt, going to be for me? I don't keep much cash around, just in case you -are- one of the ones who belongs here... And I try to avoid getting myself shoved in lockers. With any hope, I'll only be here for the rest of this school year and that's it."

Do i look like i belong here? He snapped in his own head. The little jaunt through whatever dreamland had happened, he couldn't remember well, had shaken him up and he still didn't fell like himself. "I would rather be elsewhere."

In more ways than one from the tone of his voice. Rik already looked like he would be trouble and would fit in here just fine. Half the student body seemed to be more talk than anything else from what little he'd seen and heard.

"You and me both, Lucian." He smirked softly, shaking his head in a way that soon made it necessary to nudge silver locks away from his face. "And I'd still -be- elsewhere if there weren't so many interesting things out -there-... Far too many interesting things. It's been a while since I've been in Destiny City. Guessing not much has changed..."

"... i wouldn't know. I'm not from here." And he didn't really feel like he belonged there either. IT was nice getting to talk to his cousin but everyone else made him nervous. He didn't make friends well, or like doing it, and he still wasn't sure about this while ... whatever the hell it was he turned into when he could. Fighting demons was suppose to be something that happened in stories. His fingers idly tapped the decorative Chinese lamp that sat on the side of his desk.

He watched the other young man's fingers for a moment at the sound of the tap-tap-tapping, eventually letting his gaze drift over to the lamp. "That's a pretty little decorative piece." He commented, trying to get a bit more commentary from Lucien. "Is that a memento from where you're from? Or just something you're into?"

He looked down at the lamp almost as if he'd never seen it before. ".... both." His mother had bought him the lamp years ago and he'd loved it. IT gave off just the right light to do homework by without making a glare on pages that were covered in that stupid gloss that so many text books were made from.

"So what sort of exciting things happen in Destiny City at night while everyone's supposed to be nesting down for homework and other uninteresting things?" HIs brow lofted as he cast one more glance at Lucien before unpacking the last of his 'civilian clothes', wondering if he'd even get a chance to wear them instead of the stupid uniforms.

"We're not allowed after dark. It's against the rules." Everyone had heard the stories about the people in strange clothing fighting each other and monsters out in the city after dark. The schools had all locked down on students being out after curfue. Which really cut down on the ability to get out if you were suppose to be one of those 'weirdos' out there.

"Well, that's not going to do. Not at all." He made a face, shaking his head slowly as he tossed the rest of his things aside. "Don't know why I bothered packing any of myt hings outside of these stupid uniforms, then... Unless they let us have casual days here." He smirked. "Not likely, I'm sure..."

He shrugged slightly and shook his head, purple hair falling into his eyes. "I haven't been here long enough to notice." He wore his own clothes on the weekend, preferring their comfort to the starched uniforms, but other than that he'd been in the uniforms for all the classes. He was sure it had something to do with making all the students feel the same and making them all into one image of good clean cut, well behaved, boys.

"Forgive me for point out stereotypes, but... You don't seem like the sort who belongs in a prison like this." His smirk was still in place although there seemed to be a mild trace of something else in his eyes. "Too calm. Too quiet... Unless you're one of the ones who goes off at the drop of a hat after plotting for weeks to destroy the universe."

He looked over at the other boy for a moment. Why was he even bothering to talk? He should have just walked out with his book and been done with it. "... i wouldn't rat someone out for fear of having my teeth knocked down my throat." He -didn't- belong there but he hadn't really been able to make a fuss. Cordi's parents hadn't really seemed to pay much attention other than thinking a bording school for him would be just as good as hers was. Despite hers being for good girls and his being meant for delinquents.

"Sounds like -you- need a bodyguard if that's the sort of thing you're afraid of." He laughed, setting his suitcase down on the floor so that he could flop onto his bed once more, folding his arms beneath his head. "I was caught sneaking out of the last boarding school my parents tossed me into... And caught sneaking into the all girl's school just down the road." His eyes closed, a mischievous grin curving his lips. "I'd hardly say it was worth it, in the end... Even if I'd probably wind up doing it again. I look better in green than I do in red."

He blinked and stared at Rik for a moment before rolling his eyes. God he -was- one of them. He'd almost think about warning Cordi but he had a feeling that, given his cousin's impressive collection of sharp heels, that she could take care of herself in that department.

"That's the story I tell everyone, at least." He opened one eye so that he could peer over at the other young man. "It usually gets a better reaction than letting everyone know that the number of boys who play Magic in a boring boarding school is incredibly lacking and sometimes you just have to get out and play..."

He didn't really know if that was better or worse. "I came back to get a book, so i could go read." Maybe Rik would hush and he could get away and stop having to talk and go back to just reading and pretending his space wasn't being invaded.

"By all means, don't let me stop you." He waved his hand slightly after propping himself up on his elbow so that he could watch his new roommate for just a bit longer, trying to figure out what about him seemed just the slightest bit familiar. Eventually he shook it off, flopping back down once more. "Maybe I'll catch you down in the hall for dinner?"

"Maybe..." He resettled the book in his grip and headed back for the door. Half the time he just drug whatever he decided to nibble on for dinner up to his room and ate there. Less to worry about with everyone talking around him and giving him a headache.
