People are always making movies off books. Do you know of any that suck? I do. Almost ALL that I've seen. The only good ones I've seen is The Lovely Bones.

ERAGON. • 'nuff said.
Bridge to Terabithia • I think it looks like a horrid movie because I had read the book. It looks nothing like what the book was about and this upsets me. I refuse to see it.
Twilight • My opinion. And again I refuse to see the movies. Too much fan-girly hype. The books weren't all that great. They were good when they weren't popular, if you know what I mean.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban • Second favorite book, worst movie so far. It was horrible. I nearly died watching it. • The chronological order of things pissed me off.

The same can be said for comics/cartoons/video games to movies.
Uwe Boll and M. Night Shamalan are both on my Hit-list.

Agreed in most aspects although I feel that Watchmen was actually an improvement over the graphic novel. The plot and story just make a hell of a lot more sense in the movie than the graphic novel. But Hitman was just horrendous.

All the Harry Potter movies, and somehow Lord of the Rings didn't do the books justice.

Well Ima say a book that probably none of you have heard but it's a great example There's this trilogy called Inkheart...Awesome, Awesome Book! The movie came out like 1-2 years ago...And man did it suck! >.< It was too...childish!!! and I freaking hated that!! D= Plus they ruined the way the characters are in the book, and the ending (Probably fixing so they wouldnt make a 2nd or 3rd movie)

The book was recommended to me and really didn't catch my interest, so I know I can't be the judge of something I didn't read, but the movie pulled me in to watching it, while the book didn't do a thing for me.
Just my opinion.

Eragon was actually a crime. I'm going to try and erase that from my memory now...
As for what people said about the Harry Potter ones: I actually liked the PoA interpretation. Absolutely hated the HBP one. OotP wasn't great. PS and CoS I liked because they were fairly true to the books even if they didn't make great films. GoF was somewhere in the middle... I'll let you know how I feel about DH (part 1 at least) after tomorrow...
The one I was always surprised I liked was Howl's Moving Castle. The film was so different to the book but I loved them both in their own way
