It's WW3, you're allowed to have one main weapon, and one sidearm. I don't think I need to say anything else.

Well, if I wasn't conscripted in to the British army, where I'd be given an L85. I'd probably end up with an Abakan, type 56 or AK-74 with a Makarov pistol.

Not poking fun here, but I'd have practically any pistol over the desert eagle. It's only good for shooting at people through multiple Walls.

bulletmaster36 yes, but the magnum round could penetrat armor and it would be pretty much unstoppalbe at close range Okay then. Firstly, try controlling the recoil while firing continuous shots. Secondly, Try to get an accurate shot off with the amount of weight you're carrying. In close quarters, your enemy would be firing at you with most likely some sort of medium powered pistol that could easily crack off a few shots without the user feeling too much recoil. You would be sat there with a heavy, cumbersome high-powered pistol, which you're not going to get many shots off with if you value your wrists. Sure, you'll punch a hole through whatever cover they're behind, but they've probably gone and shot you before you've had the chance to do that.

And try swinging that handcannon from target to target the way you would a regular pistol.

Okay okay, settle down guys.
Heres my opinion. A G36C and a Para-Ordnance P14-45 with extended barrel/muzzle break or a Mark-23.
Oh plus, .50AE and .44Magnum are both hard rounds to find in a desperate situation and those cartridges are expensive now!,Imagine that times ten in that kind of scenario.

Fristly: if i had a desert egal, i would have it in 357. mag and i can controll the recoil comeing out of a 357 quite well secondly:yes, ikonw it weighs 3.5 to 5.75 pounds depending what all you have on it. this weight will also help with the recoil a little, not to mention that you can buy recoil reducers, smoother springs, ect. that will also help. and if you still dont like the desert egal, try the LAR Grizzly MK IV, mag roung weighs less and has better recoil controll The Marble King bulletmaster36 yes, but the magnum round could penetrat armor and it would be pretty much unstoppalbe at close range Okay then.
